It's been at least 6 years since I've had Bella Pizza. I happened to be in the area and thought pizza sounded good. I also wanted to support local. While running my errands I placed my pick up order via phone. Was told about 25 minutes for order to be ready. Gentleman who rang me up was nice and told me it was going to be about 5 minutes as it was just finishing up in the oven. There's a few tables and fun little pizza decor on the walls. It's actually a larger space than I thought inside. The spot is kinda tucked away in Cottage Grove, but easy to get to (right by the DQ and motel). I ordered the jalapeño popper pizza and pizza fries. My eyes were bigger than my appetite, but both were tasty. It only gets better! Wow! The sausage and pepperoni pizza was absolutely mouthwatering. The cheese v. sauce ratio was on point. My order of buffalo wings was hearty, flavorful and delicious. The bleu cheese dressing was the perfect accompaniment. Good thing I had napkins, because they were spicy (in a fabulous way). Customer service was excellent and The Beach Boys music made the cold weather feel warm. I'll definitely be back! read more

If you like me eat everyone else's crust after a night of pizza then Bella is not for you. We ordered a thin crust Reuben, a thick crust pepperoni and a dessert pie for takeout. I enjoyed the Reuben toppings and taste but the crust is not thin enough to be as crispy as it is. Reminds me of pizza ranch or other cheap pizza crust where they butter the edge and refer to the crust as single or double crust. Location is off the beaten path and the value just isn't there. 2.5 stars for me. read more

This pizza spot is hiding in Cottage Grove! We wanted pizza delivery but couldn't decide from where so googled local pizza places and gave Bella Pizza a try. We ordered a large thin crust pizza and pizza fries. There's a lot to be impressed with here. I think they have the ratio of crust to cheese to sauce perfected. It's definitely a sauce-y pizza which is great because their sauce is flavorful and clearly made fresh in store. The pizza fries are packed with cheese and garlic flavors and were a huge hit with the kiddos and adults alike. We're glad we gave it a try and will definitely order again. I wish I could give this place higher marks because the delivery was super fast so all in all their service is good. Unfortunately as an Italian from New York I am on the eternal search for passable pizza. This pie fails in my opinion on a few counts. There's lots of cheese and very little sauce. The mozzarella they use is very bland. The sauce itself has almost no spices in it and lacks the acidic flavor of good pizza sauce. I couldn't taste any oregano at all. And finally, what's with cutting a pizza into little squares? I guess if you like eating pizza with a fork it's fine. When a pie is cut normally the crust keeps the ingredients off your hands and acts like a handle. The crust is also a tiny bit thick and chewy. I'm new to the area so I have high hopes of finding the perfect place. For me, Bella is not that place. read more

It was a Friday night and we knew pizza places are busy. We called and were informed it would be an hour and a half for deliver. Delivery would be at 7:30. When the pizza didn't arrive my husband called and asked if the pizza was on its way. We were informed that our pizza was going in the oven and the driver had a medical emergency, but we'd have a pizza in about a half hour. Mind you we are 50+ and h-angry...but a simple call would have been disappointing, but we could have eaten an hour earlier. read more

OK so this is my second review for this place and this time they did a fairly decent job on the pizza. It was not Dowie in the middle, and it was relatively even. But to my surprise this was not bad if anything I regret not getting a medium or large truth is I was really hungry so my rating might be a lil bit off . Absolute greasy goodness is the best way to describe Bella Pizza in Cottage Grove, pizza chains are a dime a dozen across the country but this place shines on my taste buds. The cheese is thick, toppings just right, crust is not too thin but just right in that sweet spot between perfect crisp but not too much and much less dough than hand tossed. I personally would add a sort of crumb base to perfect the flavors a bit more, but it is not needed. Overall very good pizza for the price. Definitely give 'em a call next time I've got the craving. read more

We have been ordering pizza from Bella Pizza for years. Pizza has always been good, but the service and the accuracy of our order has been horrible! Good luck getting what you actually order. This last time we ordered a pizza, sausage and pepperoni, and then on one half we wanted an additional onion and mushroom. Got the pizza home and the sausage pepperoni pizza had mushroom on one side and onion on the other. Brought the pizza back (no apology from the staff) and they made a second pizza. This time there was sausage and pepperoni on one half and mushroom and onion on the other half. At that point we asked for our money back. Again, no apology from anyone. That is fine, we will be ordering our pizza from another place from now on. I understand mistakes in the order, but this is ridiculous. read more

Always good, a local favorite. They use front loading ovens which is my preference for pizza that takes some skill to cook to perfection.

My husband and I moved here from Chicago a few months ago so we have been on the look out for a comparable pizza since we got here. After trying three or four other places we were disappointed. Then we tried this. I would say our standards are pretty high so take this for what it's worth but this pizza is just as good as back home! I am so so glad we found this place! I tried this recently and it was good! The crust was slightly crisp and thin ( like a cracker) the sauce was tasty and the sausage was good too. Of course after I placed my order I was looking at the menu and found other pizzas that I must try next time. A friend told me about this place and he was right. We had people from out of town visiting and were looking for a good place to order pizza from. We had never tried Bella before but after reading all of the good reviews, we decided to give them a try. To make a long story short, they were not good. The crust was absolutely horrible! It was like a thick piece of leather it was so tough and this was just the regular crust. One pizza was thick crust and it was practically inedible. Imagine my embarrassment when I looked around to see everyone trying to tear into it. Luckily, they were all understanding and joked about it. A couple of them just scraped the toppings off the crust and ate them instead. The toppings were good, except the taco pizza didn't really have any taco flavor, it was so bland tasting. Needless to say, we had a lot of leftover pizza, which eventually got thrown out. It's too bad, they looked like nice people and after talking with them while waiting for the pizzas, it seemed like they really cared about making good pizzas. Maybe we just got some bad crust, I don't know. Maybe we should have tried the thin crust but at this point, I'm not sure I want to go back and give it another try. read more
