A very young man started my pedicure. The spa bowl was really cold. First time I've ever had my feet soaking in cold water. He asked if the water was OK and I said it's cold. He shut the water off and didn't add any hot water to it. Then came the technician for my nails he was also a maleI don't like when they do both at the same time because having gel nails is a process to remove the old color. It's not very comfortable getting a manicure at a pedicure chair. He started on my nails and I felt my finger get stabbed and I jerked and he said sorry and I looked at his Nails they were long, pointy, sharp nails, and his nails were also filthy. They had dirt under all of them. It looked like the day before he must've worked on his yard/garden. He was using the electric nail filer. Between him jabbing me with his dirty pointy Nails and burning me with the electric filer I was done. I jerked my hands at least a half a dozen times. Every time he said I'm sorry, but they were just words there was no meaning behind it. At one point, I just grabbed my hand from him and put them in my lap and said no more you're not touching me no more. He hurt me so bad I was literally crying. The male owner wanted to know why he wasn't finishing, and he told him in his language that I didn't want him to and he was laughing the whole time. The owner came up to me and said I will finish your nails and I said no I'll do it myself. I told him about the technician had sharp nails and how dirty his nails were and he shouldn't be working on anybody and he tried to defend him by saying oh he does fine people like him. The next person he gave a pedicure to he was wearing gloves. The owner knew that his hands were not sanitary at all. I'm hoping I get no infection from this person and I keep washing my hands and every time I do they sting because of all the burning and jabbing he did to my fingers. I will never go back to GL Nails ever again. I paid $60 for the pedicure and it definitely was not worth it. I've been getting my nails done on and off for 30 years. I have never suffered such a horrible experience in my life. When you get your nails done, whether it's a mani or pedi you can get accidentally hurt. This wasn't a one time accident. This was a continuous torture until I stopped it and he thought it was funny.

She turned my hair ginger with stripes after and had to redo it twice in the same session and it still wasn't right. I walked out patchy bright stripes. She fried my hair and dyed it every color except the one I wanted. I was very straightforward and clear about what I wanted. She even messed up on the toner. I told her I like ashy tones and she toned it warm saying she thought it would fit me better. She eventually called a co worker over to help her and she said "I keep f*cling it up" in front of me. lol So no don't go here unless you want to walk out in tears and having to find and pay for someone to fix their mistakes

Truly unbelievable, the lack of sympathy was simply astounding! I did have some cancellations but explained the situation and thought some grace and compassion would be extended to me during an actual life and death situation with my father. I was told previously if your account ever got flagged for short notice cancellations, you would simply be required to put down a deposit towards future appts which seemed perfectly reasonable to me. My stylist explained if you cancel with short notice again or have a no show, then you will forfeit your deposit (again this would have been perfectly understandable). After several emails back and forth with the owner, she explained that she felt the "cancellations would continue to happen" to which I responded how/why would you think that when I explained the situation and that my father is DEAD now?! I started going to this salon in 2020 and have spent a lot of money there. I've had just about every service offered including hair dyes (one of which was so awful it had to be corrected but not before the stylist tried to convince me it looked good when I asked for dark brown and came out looking like Morticia Adams). I will give credit where credit is due, I obviously was pleased with some of the services but thought others should know you will be told one thing regarding their cancellation policy and then afforded zero grace, compassion or empathy if you have to cancel for an actual life and death emergency situation.
