Today, July 13, 2026, I booked a fill at GL nails. When I get there I told the male owner I also wanted a pedicure. So he sat me in a pedicure chair and said you'll have this done first. A very young man started my pedicure. The spa bowl was really cold. First time I've ever had my feet soaking in cold water. He asked if the water was OK and I said it's cold. He shut the water off and didn't add any hot water to it. Then came the technician for my nails he was also a maleI don't like when they do both at the same time because having gel nails is a process to remove the old color. It's not very comfortable getting a manicure at a pedicure chair. He started on my nails and I felt my finger get stabbed and I jerked and he said sorry and I looked at his Nails they were long, pointy, sharp nails, and his nails were also filthy. They had dirt under all of them. It looked like the day before he must've worked on his yard/garden. He was using the electric nail filer. Between him jabbing me with his dirty pointy Nails and burning me with the electric filer I was done. I jerked my hands at least a half a dozen times. Every time he said I'm sorry, but they were just words there was no meaning behind it. At one point, I just grabbed my hand from him and put them in my lap and said no more you're not touching me no more. He hurt me so bad I was literally crying. The male owner wanted to know why he wasn't finishing, and he told him in his language that I didn't want him to and he was laughing the whole time. The owner came up to me and said I will finish your nails and I said no I'll do it myself. I told him about the technician had sharp nails and how dirty his nails were and he shouldn't be working on anybody and he tried to defend him by saying oh he does fine people like him. The next person he gave a pedicure to he was wearing gloves. The owner knew that his hands were not sanitary at all. I'm hoping I get no infection from this person and I keep washing my hands and every time I do they sting because of all the burning and jabbing he did to my fingers. I will never go back to GL Nails ever again. I paid $60 for the pedicure and it definitely was not worth it. I've been getting my nails done on and off for 30 years. I have never suffered such a horrible experience in my life. When you get your nails done, whether it's a mani or pedi you can get accidentally hurt. This wasn't a one time accident. This was a continuous torture until I stopped it and he thought it was funny. read more

I just had regular polish on previously and went in for a dip manicure. She used the drill to remove my red polish (no remover). Used the drill to remove my cuticles and I had to say stop multiple times because it was hot and burning me. Put the dip on over my cuticles and had to further drill around my nails following the dip. My prior red polish is in my new color. My cuticles are in pain. I spoke with the manager and he told me he would offer me a $10 gift card after I paid $45 for this. I told him I would not be back. read more

I was disappointed with the service Sandy provided. I had requested a gel manicure and she basically drilled my nail beds off. She also didn't ask what shape I wanted and did as she pleased. I now have to wait several months before I can get a proper manicure done somewhere else. read more

Walked in for a gel manicure, had to wait about 15 minutes- which is not a problem. Once the gal started doing my nails she kept yelling at her employees, and walked away at least 3 times during my manicure. She never once asked what shape I liked, and just gave me a square nail (to be honest I wasn't paying attention otherwise I would have said to do rounded) the gel polish looks ok- but is bumpy, and uneven. Went here for a walk in manicure with my friend on Christmas Eve. They were quick and friendly, everyone there was smiling and laughing (even though I had no idea what they were saying it was clear they were all happy to be there). They got us in and out and did a great job. I've been to several places where they've made my cuticles tear and bleed. This place did a great job and I made it out and without injury. My manicure looks so great! I can't wait to go back! read more

Really sad. Been going here a year after a couple year break up because it's "all about the money". I've had to come in for a fix between my 3 week fills for the last 4 months. I had to come in today, because the acrylic popped off when I turned my garden hose on-hard labor, for sure. The neon sign said open even though their hours are listed as 10 on Sundays. So they brought me in and I started to soak. As usual, Lynn was in a foul mood. I didn't even ask for her, but she said I'd have to come back, she had a customer, rather than having me see someone else while I was there. Very disrespectful. Getting my nails done is a special treat for me, I don't do much for my self...and these are my nails...not tips. When Lynn is in a bad mood, which is almost always, I've tipped her up to $10 for a $23 fill. Stay home if you're that unhappy with your job and coworkers. Still sad. read more

GL Nails primary focus for business is up selling. I came in for acrylic nails full set. It was my first time in years getting my nails done. The nail technician tried to upsell me from acrylic nails to gel nails and adding on shellac polish. I told her I only wanted acrylic. She had an attitude. When I told her I just wanted regular nail polish and not to pay an additional $20 for shellac she got upset. I was charged $10 for a Polish paint. I will never go there again. Customer service is what will make or break a business. read more

Do not go here! My finger was cut open and my nail tech put hydrocortisone cream(a cream used for itching) out of a used tube on my bloody finger, the nail tech didn't put on any gloves and touched her bare finger to my bloody finger. They thought it was used for antibacterial reasons. She also kept painting my nails while my finger was bleeding. She got my blood on the nail polish brush and continued to paint them and put the brush back into the nail polish bottle. read more

A group of 5 girls had pedicured on a late Saturday afternoon. We had appointments but still ended up having to wait 20-30 minutes, which was kind of annoying. Other than that, it was fine. Nothing bad, but nothing memorable either. Except for maybe the price - $20 for a regular pedi, $25 for the deluxe. Nice techs, nice selection of polish. Happy toes. read more

NOT a good value - two pedis and a mani for $103!! And that does not include our tip for each nail tech. Price list says "mani/pedi $30 and up" and they mean UP. NOT quality results - nails filed at an angle, cuticles not pushed back and nail polish starts way away from nail bed. NOT relaxing or spa-like - the technicians talked non- stop among themselves the entire time. NOT easy to communicate with - understanding, being understood. NOT using them again. read more

Beware!! I went in for a regular pedicure and shellac manicure. She tried to upgrade my pedicure so I told her no I just want a regular pedicure. They do the manicure while you're getting a pedicure so your arms are being crossed over one another... how are you supposed to relax? Every pedicure that I've had my feet always get massaged, there was no foot or hand massage whatsoever. My shellac manicure is quite bumpy and not smooth. Very disappointed and a waste of money. I have been going here for 10 yrs. I have been to many places and I still love the crew here. I have a toe nail issue which Kevin or Hanna take care of for me. I love to hear the girls chatting, although I have no idea what they are saying, reminds me of my girls when they were young. Very cheery, and I have been there when more men are there than woman. This was the WORST experience I have ever had. 1. It took almost 2 hours for a manicure/pedicure, because they didn't pay attention and gave the pedicure and left us sitting there until we mentioned the manicure. 2. They put away my friend's nail polish (the bride) after the pedicure because they forgot about her, then tried to use some nasty color and convince her it was the same. We had to get up OURSELVES and search for the correct color. SHE IS THE BRIDE! 3. I thought she was just being gentle, but when it was over NONE of my cuticles were even cut and the polish was just slopped on top. 4. I had red nail polish on before and she didn't get it all over and just slopped the paint over. There was RED nail polish all over my cuticles and in the corner of my nails. The polish we chose was taupe, and it didn't cover so you could see the red in the corner of my nails. 5. Finally, but worst of all. When I complained because the red was still visible and my cuticles were disgusting, and that I didn't feel like I should pay for a manicure I could have done better myself; one of the women working grabbed my fingers and took the polish off (which I would have done myself anyways later) and said "Well next time you come here, don't get a manicure because obviously nothing is good enough for you." "No one will do a better job". I told her I wasn't satisfied with the service, because it was AWFUL and then she was rude to ME? I still paid for the pedicure and I was very nice about it until she said that. Then I said she was RUDE and I would never go there again and make sure I gave a matching review. Do not go here if you want a REAL manicure. In NYC they cut the cuticles OFF and they get the polish off, and they put new polish on with no remnants of the old. I had to make a late night trip to Meijer to get polish and do it myself as the maid of honor. Thanks a lot! read more

I have been to this salon many times for a pedicure and found it acceptable; not great, but the prices were average and I usually got in and out quickly. There were several empty chairs when I arrived. I told them I wanted a regular pedicure and was told there would be no wait. Once in the chair for a pedicure, someone asked again what I wanted and I told him "regular pedicure." After waiting several minutes for service, another person pushed the laminated menu in my face and asked "you want deluxe?" and I answered again "regular pedicure." I waited several more minutes while the assigned service person was 10' away doing something on her phone. When she finally got done, she also pushed a laminated menu in my direction and asked "you want deluxe?" and I answered again "regular pedicure." She then asked if I wanted "hands done too?" to which I replied, "no thank you, just a regular pedicure," which seemed to annoy her. She worked quickly, roughly, somewhat brusquely, with occasional grunts. After putting some polish on my toes, she got up without explanation and walked outside. I wondered if she was done or coming back or what?? She was on the sidewalk in back, talking on the phone. Only one coat of polish was applied and no top coat was applied. All other pedicures from this salon included two coats of polish plus top coat. After waiting 20 minutes, I surmised she wasn't coming back to finish the job, so I paid and left. read more

I have been a sporadic customer for at least 5 years. The last two times I have gone to get a pedicure the girls working are just plain rude. They speak English but sit and talk amongst each other in Vietnamese and don't speak to their customers. Polish hasn't stayed on like it should. read more

Very disappointed. They charged $54 for a shellac - polish only & very minimal pedicure ( had asked for polish redo when I came in). And by Tuesday-- it is all gone from my nails, peeling right off. Definitely not worth the $ spent. read more

I just recently got 2 pedicures in the last two weeks, one on my own time, and another as a part of a large group. Both services were amazing. When I went on my own time, I went late thinking they closed later, however I walked in 15 minutes before they closed (oops) but still accepted me which was really nice. Since it was almost closing time, when I walked in I saw people washing and spraying down tubs , mopping and vacuuming which was definitely reassuring. The service was really good they were all really friendly and the pedicure felt amazing especially considering the price (only 20 for a regular pedi) The time I went with a big group they took me into a new, extra (very big) room they dedicate to big parties and will also use as overflow. It was really nice in there and they let us bring wine and food in for all the girls. They had new pedicure spas and we all tried that (we got the pearl spa for $35) and it was wonderful we all felt really relaxed after! I loved the place and will definitely be a regular customer now. I try to stick with one technician I like because I know I'll enjoy their service everytime then! read more

The worst place to get your nails and pedicures. The place is dirty I got the worst infection on my big toe and had to have surgery and my nail removed. The owner is rude and a poor business owner. The place should be closed. read more

I recently had a mani/pedi ($30), the pedi was great and the girl who did it was very sweet, took her time, and did a nice job. However, a different lady did my mani and she was HORRIBLE! She was very rough, used her fingernails rather than the proper instrument to push back my cuticles and drew blood while snipping my cuticles (I've had countless mani's and never had that happen before). I had tons of polish all over my skin and the polish looks streaky and uneven. Overall, the place seems kind of dirty and I don't have confidence that things are really sanitized as they should be. Also, they use foot razors to take the dead skin off your heels, which are illegal in Michigan. read more

Would have given 1 star but I will give 2 because my nails do not have many bubbles in them ( only 2 nails did). I wanted to get a color tip painted but she only did white airbrush. That left a bunch if white stuff on my fingers and cheaply lines at the bottom of the color. I ended up going straight home and painting color tips myself. Which turned out better than what they did. Yes they are cheaper than other places but I got cheap work. My nails are not evenly shaped either. Go somewhere else and spend the extra 5 or 10 bucks. read more

This is the worst nail salon I've ever been to. It wasn't clean, though busy (apparently some people choose cheap over clean). Table tops were smeary, the drying station was sticky. My nail tech was clearly impatient, I was just a job. What was the worst was when he hurriedly snipped my cuticles, and I mean the cuticles! Both thumbs and two fingers were bleeding, not excessively, but bleeding. I jumped when he did it, and he just said "Sorry." He then put some blue liquid on the fingers, which hurt more. He roughly rubbed one thumb with a towel, and pulled the piece of torn cuticle back further. Then he tried to snip it down, but it was raw. It was sore for a week. The blood is still dry on my fingers, after 10 days. And he charged me full price! I paid (guess I could've made a scene, but I didn't bother), not leaving a penny for a tip. As far as the polish, he didn't use a cornstick to get the polish on the bottom of the cuticle, just left it. And the sides of the cuticle, get this, he used his own nails to scrape the polish off.
