Wouldn't recommend. To spray someone ahead of time, THEN when they go to pay, you tell them a different price then they've always paid - that's just bad business and not a good way to keep a long time customer. Tell me BEFORE you spray me so it doesn't come as a surprise, OR please inform me for the future instead of springing it upon me to pay an extra $15.00. Long story short: I walk in to get sprayed by Dianne (first time being sprayed by her). She asks what the occasion is for me to come in and get sprayed. I tell her that tomorrow is my birthday and I'd like to even out my tan. As I finish up drying, I walk out to the register and Dianne says to me, "You said it's your birthday, right? You're turning 26 tomorrow, right?" I said "Yes." (unsure why she was asking, maybe thinking there was a birthday discount). But joke was on me! Dianne told me that at age 25 you are no longer allowed to get a student discount and that I had been receiving student discounts every time I came in the past year for a spray tan. I was unaware of this cut off age because no one told me. Instead of making me aware of the situation (for the first time that I heard this) and informing me that I would have to pay a full price of $65 in the future (which is fair), she said, "let's just meet in the middle and you can pay $50 today." First off, $44 would be "meeting right in the middle," not $50 plus a tip. Second off, what poor customer service tactics to fault someone for something they were unaware of before spraying me! I have been paying the same amount for the past 2 years. So instead of faulting me for a cut off that I did not know about prior to my visit, it would be better to kindly have made me aware of the situation so I would have a heads up in the future to pay $65 for a spray tan. It's unfortunate that I was making casual conversation with Dianne and all she chose to remember from our conversation was my age - so she could use this information to make me pay more. I didn't have a choice, so I pay the $50 and gave a 20% tip, which I TRULY regret (but am used to tipping 20% when I go to Laura and the service is consistently great). I was completely caught off guard and was not expecting to spend $50 on a spray tan I did not need (but was treating myself to for my birthday). I ended up spending more than I expected which left me feeling angry and upset. Because of the way Dianne treated and spoke down to me, acting like I 'knowing' using the student discount for the past year while I was 25 years old, rubbed me the wrong way. And after "meeting me in the middle" and making me pay $50, she then told me about their package deal where I could buy 2 tans and get 1 for free (). In conclusion, Bella Sorrel owner, Dianne just lost me as a customer which is a shame because I come quite often for spray tans. If the situation was handled differently, I would have paid the price I was always paying $35 or met in the ACTUAL middle which was $44, I would've most likely bought the $130 package for the future. But because of this situation I will not longer come to Bella Sorrel and especially not go to Dianne. There are many other reputable spray tan salons in the area who offer student discounts (without age cut off limits - especially to long time customers who come several times a year ). Advice to anyone who wants to go to Bella Sorrel: If you are going here for a spray tan, only go to Laura. Not only does she truly care about her clients, she is also MUCH more warm and welcoming than Dianne. Not to mention, she is also a phenomenal spray tan artist and treats her customers with respect. read more

I've been debating on writing a review for Bella for some time because I typically don't go out of my way to write bad reviews, but after learning that Bella extended even worse treatment to people I have referred to them, I am absolutely mortified. I was lucky enough to be able to use the student price for their services for the duration of when I went there. I am 26 and a full time student and had been going there for about a year. Their tans were decent for the price I was paying ($35 a tan) versus their actual price which is 65 a tan. One day I went in and the girl at the front desk started questioning me about what year of school I was in and eventually asked my birth year. I found it strange, but she didn't say anything. AFTER my tan she told me she would no longer be able to offer me the student price because I was "too old" I explained I was still a full time student and had been given the student price for the past year. I explained I would not have gotten a tan if she had told me this before and I only brought enough for the price I had been paying for a year. She couldn't get in touch with the owner so she ended up letting me pay the student price one last time. IMMEDIATELY after leaving I receive a message on Instagram ( not a phone call like a professional would) from the owner telling me she heard I had an "issue" tonight and explaining I do not qualify for the student price. Long story short I was very unhappy with the way the conversation went and the overall professionalism of the interaction. I have always freely promoted their products VIA my social media and referred clients, and they certainly didn't have a problem using my photos of me in products for FREE for promotion. A friend I had referred went there before her vacation (which she ended up being proposed to on) and they completely messed up her tan ( She has photos for reference). She reached out to Bella and they told her it must be HER fault and their tans never turn out blotchy. She has been self tanning for years and has gotten multiple spray tans, so she's not new to the protocol before a tan. Her once in a life time engagement photos were ruined and Bella refused to take any responsibility for their product. My mother had also gone there before a vacation and was very blotchy on her feet and chest. Similar situation happen to another friend of mine and all our vacation photos her tan is peeled in the chest area. Bottom line: Even if Bella produced a quality product I would never return due to their customer service. Their prices are completely overpriced. You can go other places in Doylestown for almost half of what they charge. I use a self tanner now that is 10X better than their $65 dollar tans ever gave me. read more

The salon is really nice and comfortable and Laura who did my spray tan was so talented and kind. I woke up this am the darkest I've ever been in my entire life and it's the perfect brown color. I really like this place because the people working there are extremely nice and accomodating. I showed up late once and they still took me. Another time I was a no-show (had the wrong day written down) and they let me re-schedule with no penalty. The rooms were on the small side, but that really didn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Bella Sorrel is a bit pricey but it is worth it! They use all organic products that don't leave a distasteful scent afterwards. I never choose a specific person to spray me; I have had a pleasant experience with each employee. I recently got sprayed at Bella Sorrel for my senior prom. I had received airbrush tans before, but they did not compare to Bella Sorrel's. I made an appointment at Bella Sorrel after a recommendation from a coworker, in preparation for a bridesmaids dress that was not flattering on my very pale natural skin tone. Making an appointment was easy enough, and I really appreciated that their reminder emails had tips and instructions on how to prepare. Their Doylestown location was a bit hard to find, but the facilities and staff were wonderful. I especially liked all of the supplies and body positive messages they had in the personal rooms. My instructor was the kindest woman and made me feel very comfortable. All I did was show her a picture of me in the dress and she gave me the perfect color - people didn't believe that the tan wasn't my natural skin tone. I also appreciated their simple payment process and the new customer discount. My only issue was that my hands and feet did not look natural with some harsh lines, and that the tan came off in strange patches. I'm sure most of that could be attributed to my skin prep before the tan. All in all, I'll definitely go back if I have another event. I wish regular sessions were more affordable, as I'd love to keep this glow all summer. read more
