The owners of Strada, Cabrina and Daniella, have been doing my hair for 10 years. Honestly, I wouldn't let anyone else touch my hair. I drove over an hour from Philly to come to their new salon and it was absolutely worth it. The new space is beautiful - clean, airy, and spacious. Cabrina and Daniella are extremely welcoming; it's almost like they're welcoming you into their home I had a little trouble with the lighting so my "after picture" doesn't do her work justice, but I'm thrilled with Cabrina's work again. I like to have very cool ashy blonde highlights with a deep root and lots of dimension. I'm also in the midst of growing out a lob (my natural texture is wavy). Cabrina did hand painted baby lights, a root smudge, and a toner. One of the things I appreciate most about the quality of their work is that it grows in so well and lasts... I have been highlighting my hair for over 20 years. I have very fine hair that is easily damaged by bleach/blonde highlights, and prior to moving to this area had been with the same stylist for 15 years. I have REALLY struggled to find my person in this area, and have tried three different salons. I found Strada online, and after reading a number of reviews, called the salon for more information. Daniella (co-owner/founder) answered and ended up talking to me for 10 or 15 minutes about what I was looking for. I was so grateful that she would spend that much time and invest so much care and passion into a conversation with a client who wasn't even hers yet. From that single chat, I booked my appointment and went in for what I thought was a partial highlight. After a detailed consult, I ended up deciding to do a full set of highlights with a toner (3.5 hour process), and the care that Daniella took with my hair was unparalleled. Literally-- for over 20 years I have never seen someone put so much time and energy into getting it right. She put different developer on the ends of my hair that were more fragile than she did towards the top or middle-- and she treated it before she colored to make sure it was as protected as possible. She did an after color treatment, and washed the foils out in different orders so they were all perfectly developed based on the time that she had put them in. I have never seen an artist do that in all of my years of getting my hair done professionally. And all the while, she carefully listened to what I was looking for and asked that I show her examples so she knew EXACTLY what I was going for. Daniella shared with me that she comes from four generations of stylists and has had experience in major cities (LA, Philly) working with very renowned clients and teachers. And it shows. Daniella is a grounded, down to earth, kind, and very skilled artist who is going to have an incredible client base in this area. Alex was my stylist and she made my literal hair dreams come true. she gave me a flawless pixie cut and dyed my hair the most perfect platinum blonde i've ever seen. I just moved into Northern Liberties in the last year and desperately needed to find a new salon, after some quick googling I found Benita Bianca. I called on Valentine's Day looking for a blowout and was so excited to hear that they could squeeze me in on such a busy day. Upon walking in, I was greeted and welcomed in by Karen, who was so friendly and warm that it felt like I was being treated like family. She continued to check me in and take my coat. The decor in the salon is clean, minimalist, and modern with thoughtful touches. As for my hair, Peyton did an amazing job. I have fine hair that won't typically hold a curl for more than 2 hours. Peyton gave me a gorgeous bouncy, voluminous blowout with curls that are still intact over 24 hours later! Just moved to the area mid Covid shutdown so not only was I in desperate need of a cut, but was also looking for a new stylist, and just happened to stumble across the salon on a walk. I've been a guinea pig for the past few years for various friends working on their license so I've never actually needed to think of what cut/color I wanted since it was always whatever was needed for their class...so, naturally, I arrived with absolutely no idea of what to ask for other than I knowing I wanted short, but long enough to put in a ponytail. Daniella was so awesome on explaining what would work best for my hair texture and face shape, and worked her magic. I also received a balayage with color melting, and it's perfect. I haven't colored my hair in a few years, but needed a change with the lovely dreaded grays coming in now. I'm super low maintenance when it comes to hair and the cut/balayage she gave me looks amazing even air dried. I have received so many compliments, and my hair still feels super healthy and light. The decor is adorable with a bit of crisp minimalist style and a touch of lively greenery. The sanitation protocols they've taken to ensure everyone's safety is great. One must be escorted into the shop (after the designated station has been sanitized), there is a QR code survey to complete prior to entering which is again verbally confirmed along with a temperature check, hand sanitizer at the counter, and masks on at all times. Aside from every person I've seen leaving feeling and looking beautiful, the ambiance of the shop is so great. Everyone in the shop is so welcoming and sweet. I had an amazing experience my first time at this hair salon. They have you fill out a short history about your hair and even bring you a drink of your choice. Daniella did my balayage and I felt like she really listened to what I wanted while also keeping my hair healthy. My hair was really dull, dry and I had an overgrown brown balayage coming in.
