If I could write a 6-star review, this would be it…read more There are a lot of scams in South Florida with rental properties -- we were *almost* a victim of one and decided to step away. On a whim, we found Sea Star Property Management and they had a spectacular rental available for our stay in Cape Coral. All of our communication with Sea Star was via e-mail. We booked, paid our initial deposit, and balance prior to arrival all online. About a week before our trip, we received a confirmation e-mail with detailed directions to the home and instructions on how to open the lock box. When we arrived at the home, we found the home in pristine condition and exactly as pictured. There was a set of instructions on pool usage, and some other info about the home. Our rental property was everything you would want in a rental home -- very good appliances, some kitchen utensils, along with dishes and glasses. The home also included high speed internet and cable TV package from Comcast. We had a few questions about how the control panel for the pool worked and after we called Sea Star, the owner of Sea Star stopped by the next day to show us how it worked. It was nice that he was available and was very professional about everything. Our only wish was that the electric allowance that was given was a bit more than what they allowed us -- we totally understand that some renters could run the pool heater 24/7 and jack up the electric bill, but we felt that we were paying close to prime rental rates and we could have received a slightly larger electric allowance. All in though, we were very pleased with Sea Star Property and will be condsidering them for a longer rental next year! We can't wait.

The grills heated up fast but it took a long time for the food to cook. It was great team work with different people having a job to do. I was grill master. My husband said that it wasn't comfortable for him to sit in the seat edge to navigate the boat which he had to do to see over the grill. It would be nice if something could be set up for the driver to help with this situation. We have rebooked for another date and next time we will have ice in the middle for drinks instead of a grill and have dinner at Pinchers Crab House afterwards. It is right in the same parking lot. The staff was very helpful both on the phone and the day of our event. They do offer summer specials but beware that the tax is not included in the quoted price in case you are splitting the cost.

It made the whole space feel dirty and uncomfortable. On top of that, communication with the rental company was extremely frustrating. It was difficult to get responses, and when we did, they were slow and unhelpful. We reached out about the cleanliness issues and never received a proper resolution during our stay. Overall, this was not the experience we expected or paid for. I would not recommend this property unless significant improvements are made to both cleanliness and customer service.

On top of that, on Saturday morning we woke up to loud banging noises coming from the pool area. We looked outside and saw a crew of workers removing all the pool tiles. It's simply unbelievable. We were paying guests staying at the property, and they sent a construction crew to completely tear up the pool during our stay. I strongly recommend avoiding this company. Their service is completely unacceptable, and we felt misled as customers. The company never informed us that a work crew would be coming to remove all of the pool tiles and completely tear up the pool while we were staying at the property. We were in the middle of our vacation at the villa, and without any prior notice, we woke up to construction work taking place right outside. This was extremely disruptive and completely unacceptable. Had we known that major repairs were scheduled during our stay, we would never have booked this property. The lack of communication, the poor handling of maintenance issues, and the complete disregard for guests' experience made this a very disappointing stay.
