Overall, this was not the experience we expected or paid for. I would not recommend this property unless significant improvements are made to both cleanliness and customer service.

Numerous amenities were broken or missing upon arrival, including nonfunctional appliances, broken doors and furniture, missing outdoor furnishings, dead lighting throughout the home, empty propane tanks, and torn screens letting bugs inside. We documented everything with photos and promptly reported the issues. Staff visited, acknowledged the problems, and said they would follow up--but after that, communication stopped entirely. Even after speaking directly with the owner and receiving apologies, no resolution or refund was provided, and our formal follow-up went unanswered. We spent a significant portion of our vacation dealing with issues that should never have existed in a professionally managed rental. Loved the dock and tiki hut . A dolphin greeted us a few mornings . They had everything ! Fishing poles were there and we caught a few fish off the dock .Chairs , umbrellas and coolers for beach . What is important is how well those in "control" manage to address the issues. We can truly say that we were very impressed with the effectiveness of Home Rental Systems (especially our contact, Renee) in dealing with concerns we raised. The lanai had a broken fan which almost flew off when we turned on the lights. the sliding doors did not have blinds or curtains for privacy and there were three huge ones to the main part of the house. Microwave was dirty and it took 45 minutes after check in time to get into the house since the cleaning crew was still there. Beds were hard felt like sleeping on rocks with very old flat gross pillows. We used our personal beach towels for pillows. Response to calls and emails were useless. Advised to leave key in lock box and they would address it and never was. We Were told owner was out the country. and the Gentleman that came out pretty much said there was nothing he could do since it was not his responsibility. Not sure exactly what was the point of his visit. We were extremely let down.

We rented this home in January 2016 and although the home was promised to be "in working order" upon arrival, we were left with cleanliness issues to deal with and a non-working pool. The home representative checked us in in and stated everything was fine. Once we looked around and tried the pool we notified them immediately that it was not heated. The problem was not fixed until 2 days before we were to leave on a 2 week stay! The rep was so lazy they even tried to get my 81 year old Aunt to fix it with him on the phone. Not once did any of them bother to check the actual pool temp when they came out. Rather, they kept telling us to "wait 24 hours" for it to heat up after each call. The owner refused to give us fair compensation for not having use of the pool the majority of the trip. He even tried to charge us for excess electricity - for the pool pump - on the pool we couldn't use. One big headache for my family! Looks can be deceiving! Find somewhere that stands by their word.

They only addressed the pool, and the leak was fixed the last day we were there. They do not respond well, and promise by end of day will have a solution over and over. Tried to charge for electric overage that was unrealistic as well. They are the equivalent of slum lords. Literally responded to our formal complaint with: sinks break, things break in a house.
