Open during Covid19. Ive been here several time all dirinf Covid. Once registered its a quick scan to enter but my last few visits I had to wait a few mins each time while some non regulars gave their details , argued they didnt have Australian ID . I was then seated quickly. A good range of tap beers. The chicken burger tasted great. The ordering is great! Scan, pick what you want, order, apple pay, pick it up once you get a txt. Note parking can be difficult sometimes and confusing where the additional parking is located. read more

We came early as it was a Friday night and we have only just become "free" after lockdown. It was a good choice as it got busier as the night wore on. There was a guitarist perched on a chair elevated higher than the bar for "live" entertainment. There was plenty of staff but (and this is where I should bring the score of 3 stars down) not much doing in the form of clearing the tables and wiping them down. The staff barely wore their masks. About 50% of the people preparing and serving serving the meals wore masks. The fellow who appeared to be the head chief wore his under beard. There was a separate area for pizza and I could see that pizzas were a popular choice. Our food was OK. I would give the soft tacos a miss and the salmon could have been better. The pasta looked to be made elsewhere but seemed OK. I would go back there to have pizza and sit in the beer garden when it gets warmer...as long as this visit wasn't a super spreader event! I didn't mark them on their Covid safety as I just don't think they can police it. Not much point in making rules if they can't be enforced so just be informed. read more

The hills has been in need of a place like the bella vista bar for awhile now. With a very relaxed and lounge type vibe this is definitely the place to go to for a chill night. The place itself is quite large with ample tables to dine in, lounges for drinks and sectioned off areas if you are thinking of having a get together. Food is pretty good too. Prices aren't exactly cheap but quite reasonable with large portion sizes. I definitely enjoyed my parpadelle. Look forward to coming back again for some drinks next time. read more

Got the chicken snitzel expensive especially when it's not very good. They cooked the chicken in the fish vat. That's a no no. Chicken tastes like fish. Cole slaw is not Cole slaw. It is just shredded cabbage and carrot. read more

I was tossing up whether to give this place 3 or 4 stars.. I went here for my brothers birthday on a Saturday night. He hired out a little corner of the main floor which cost him around $300 which definitely surprised me. It was just a bunch of tanked and chairs in the corner of room and food was extra. It fit 30 people comfortably but I still think there are better ways to spend your money. The staff were super helpful, we had one girl In charge of the event Emanuella she was really good with letting us know what was happening through the night. Her alone would get 5 stars for her help. The aircon was on the highest in that corner and still sticky and hot so that put a bit of a dampening on the night. However when the corner opened up the manager apologised for the aircon thing and opened up the board room for us which was ice cold.. Yeah weird right! But that was cool to have a private room pretty much for the rest of the night. Overall food was ok I mean you don't expect much from a RSL style place just deep fried stuff with sauce. The venue is nicely laid out and designed with a dance floor to dance the night way after a few shots of confidence from the bar. read more

Hello, I have given this place 4 stars because no it wasn't the best but it wasn't good. I think it was bad but not not bad. My favourite part of the experience at this hotel was when I was doing my business and the cleaner walked in and groped me. It was nice but I uncalled for. You have to hand it to the owners of this place. They've dressed up a concrete factory in the middle of an industrial area and convinced people that they should get really dressed up and part with huge amounts of money to eat and drink inside the factory. It used to be an outlet for Di Lorenzo tiles and no matter how they try to decorate this place you can't escape the fact that you're in a factory, in an industrial area, with nothing else nearby to do. Reading the other reviews there is a reoccurring theme of issues with the security staff. The guards are pretty over the top and the dress standards expected are just ridiculous given the type of establishment it is. You'll see them knock a guy back because there is a small tattoo visible on their arm or they don't have a collared shirt but then they have no issue with the girls covered in ink wearing next to nothing. Odd. Of course you can buy beers from the Australian Brewery - the same company own this place, the Brewery and the Hillside Tavern. They have a few very fancy looking wine displays but when you actually look at the wine list its very limited and phenomenally overpriced. What really irks me is that when you buy a drink they give you the change on a little silver plate in the obvious hope that you leave a tip (cause you know I love tipping ordinary service in an overpriced venue?!?). And if you're hungry you can pay $45 for a bit of scotch fillet. I'm happy to pay that at a good restaurant but for a stock standard steak in a shed in an industrial area - i don't think so. It's good for people watching and thats about it. Just like the venue a lot of the patrons might be what some would call 'mutton dressed up as lamb'. Yes this is where the housewives of the hills come to get all dressed up, park the SUV downstairs, check each other out, spend loads of money on overpriced booze and food, and try to pretend they're not in a factory smack in the middle of an industrial area. Go to a nice restaurant instead - it'll cost a lot less and you'll probably enjoy it a whole lot more. read more

Food is barely average! $44 steak tasted like it was done on a pan! Chicken wings were straight from the pack and deep fried to buggery. The only semi decent part was the sides and even they were packet ready and barely average. Charging the money they do, you expect something better than a club meal :( $100 for two people and I was extremely disappointed. It's early afternoon & all is pretty quiet, but it is giving me the chance to check out what's on offer. Love the decor. Oversize lounge chairs, candelabra on the bar & animal heads mounted above entrances to intimate areas. A cafe, a dining area and apparently Bella Shack coming soon. ... aka hot dogs, burgers & fries. All this set around the bar set right on the middle of the action. I'm keen to wander back ... This is one of the newest bars in the area and it has to one of my favourite bars/restaurant for its price range. It has a very nice upmarket decor, from big screen tv's, to a QSC Audio System, LED bar lighting (changes colour every 30 seconds) and animals heads on the walls. It has been decked out very nicely. The food are reasonable price but the portions are huge, enough to share with a friend/mate. A wide variety of pub food choices. The pie of the day is a great option. The service is very fast. So fast that by the time we got the drinks from the bar, the meals were already waiting at the table for us. Food is always hot and fresh and apart from being too much food, I can't put another thing wrong with the food from the times I have been there. There is also a small cafe at the other end, if you looking for a light snack and a coffee. There are also late nights with a DJ or a live band in the middle of the bar. I have been at the Bella Vista Hotel for lunch and dinner. Lunch is the better time to go rather than evening. Lucky for us a girlfriend of mine went there a lot and knew that they do a Chicken Schnitzel for something like $10 however it wasn't on the menu. It is an expensive place, so this was very useful to know. Evenings are busy at the end of the week and ordering drinks on ladies night are a nightmare. I do like the atmosphere of the place and they have live music in the middle of the bar. It's a place to go as a treat to yourself. read more

Made the trip out for the Bella Shack Burger Truck on a Sunday approx. 1pm It wasn't too loud, the outdoor seating area was covered, but the seating area did have a feel to it that said "designated smoking area" The inside was HUGE, there seems to be a LOT of wasted area, although I imagine it would come in handy on friday nights. read more

Very poor. May be a great atmosphere however after 3 separate visits for lunch (and neither time being busy) they consistently failed to get one order correct. Incorrect pricing wrong food etc. one suggestion - maybe the waitresses could take more notice of customer service than what they are wearing or how their hair looks. Having been going to bella vista hotel for 3 years now thought it was time to let everyone know that this is the best pub in sydney. Fantastic food, drinks selection and the best customer service Ive ever experienced. This is a place that older classier people can come to without having drunken 18 year olds everywhere ruining your night. The best night out you will ever have!!! read more

The new breakfast experience is appalling! Took an hour to get our food and the ordered the bella vista stack which had dry bacon and dry toast with cold egg and cold tomato. It was terrible. Couldn't complain as the manager was too busy dealing with everyone else's complaints. It was absolutely disgusting and way overpriced. You can get much better value elsewhere with much better service. Get you act together, hire new chefs and learn how to run a restaurant! Will never go back read more

I always read reviews before visiting/buying anything and straight up, first 5 reviews on facebook were negative. I don't fully rely on the reviews but here is my first experience visiting Bella Vista Hotel: - On arrival security had told my brother to roll down his barely rolled sleeve to cover up his barely shown arm tattoos. That was fine as I know some places' dress codes are a little more strict. What bothered me was there was a lady with a full arm sleeve tattoo (surely that was ok as ladies pretty much get away with everything) and spotted a few security guards with visible tattoos showing aswell. For such a "strict" place, you'd think to have your employees look abit more professional, hypocritical to have a paying customer abide by such rules when employees can't even set an example. - Another thing is my personal opinion on the dining area, it's like a school cafeteria. The place itself is beautiful, the vibe is great and the food was amazing, but I think it's time for an upgrade, the dining tables and chairs are atrocious, they look tacky and it does not match the "classy" set-up you have at the front. - Last but not least, overpriced meals. Although it was delicious, even the Hilton don't charge as much and I get to sit comfortably, not squished and having trouble getting out of a long table. Surely you'd have enough money to get nicer chairs. read more
