The two of them make a great team. It's obvious from their introduction that they love sharing their passion of sailing with others. Before we even got to the dock I was in contact with Josh on the phone and email. He responded quickly and was happy to offer some amenities. Josh offered me a few pick up locations and offered to drop us at our hotel marina. Once on the boat we covered a quick but thorough safety brief. We toured the river before entering the bay. Carmelita and Josh made suggestions for restaurants and other activities on Solomons and pointed them out as we passed them. Our tour took us around Solomons Island and under the bridge at sunset. Carmelita took pictures of us the whole time and shared them with us after the tour. It was great talking with them about how they got into sailing and how they learned their craft. The boat was clean and appeared to be sound. On the way back lighting storms were surrounding us. The light show was really cool to watch. The storm was about 30 miles so there was no danger and we felt safe the Josh and Carmelita were keeping an eye on the weather. I would definitely recommend their tour or charter service. If you have never been parking can be a tiny bit confusing just know that it is behind a hotel once you are there you just line up and wait to board the boat. The captain is always nice. The mates are always nice and helpful. Bring cash to tip them they deserve it. I've also Cash App a tip. The crowd is always nice helpful friendly respectful we have never had a problem. You will always come home with fish if the fish are not biting the captain will move around until he finds a place where they are biting. Of course some days are better than others, but it is still a great experience . We will continue to go every year.

I booked a sunset cruise with CAPT Phil to celebrate my husband's Navy promotion. We had family…read morecoming in to town and wanted to plan something special to thank them for their support. I emailed CAPT Phil to make the arrangements and he promptly got back to me with pricing, location of his dock, and confirmation of our reservation. Payment was not expected until the evening of the cruise, and when I called to inquire about weather restrictions (we've had crazy rain this summer!) all my questions were answered. Following my husband's promotion ceremony, my family and I drove out to the pier and mingled with CAPT Phil under his tiki pavilion, which was charmingly decorated and had tables and cornhole games until time to load the boat. Although there were chips and bottled water onboard, we were permitted to bring a cooler with wine, cheese, and other snacks to enjoy our family event. CAPT Phil even showed my two young sons his crab pots and let my 7 year old drive the boat! Shortly into our cruise, the boat's engine started to overheat, so for safety CAPT Phil told us we needed to call for backup. But we were on the water, watching the beautiful sunset, enjoying our snacks and family company, so it didn't matter!! CAPT Phil's son brought a second boat to tow us back to the dock, which my boys LOVED watching! In the end, we were still out on the water for the same amount of time as we'd arranged for the cruise...but CAPT Phil refused to take our money and let us pay for the excursion. He told us just to book another evening on the water, which we will absolutely do! Thanks Captain Phil, for a wonderful evening, in spite of the unforeseen challenges we had a blast and can't wait to do it again!

The Fallen Outdoors Team Virginia scheduled a charter for 8 military veterans. Captain Billy and…read morehis Deck Hand Tommy are a top-notch crew. They shuttled us into the Chesapeake Bay and got us on fish very quickly. Each veteran took turns reeling in Bluefish and Spanish Mackerel. We could not have asked for better weather or seas. The fishing was so good we limited on bluefish by 1045 and missed our limit on mackerels by one. We cannot wait to work with Captain Billy and his team again.
