Today they sent me an email letter threatening to send me to collections and that the supposed bill has accrued interest and is nearly $200 now. They never mentioned I was in any kind of debt, they stopped contacting me ever since I had a conversation with them disputing the "un-received payment" which was confirmed received by Chase when I called Chase Bank's service line. The funny part is they emailed me from the same address I sent the Zelle payment to. These people do not care about you, your family, your life or your time. They only want to receive your money and milk any vulnerable naive customers. Stay away from this scummy place DO NOT SUPPORT THIS SCAM. After speeding through traffic we called from.l the parking lot to see if they would still take the appointment. We went in, filled out the paperwork and paid the woman at the front desk. They let us all the way into the examination room. The doctor came into the room and asked us to come back on Monday. He stated he was leaving in two minutes. I made a scene leaving the establishment letting them know I was displeased they even decided to take my money with the chance that we wouldn't be seeing the Doctor. 5 minutes passed before my girlfriend received a call asking us to come back. I was amused at what would come from this so I decided to go along with it and give them a chance a redemption. So we are back in the same room, no apology from the doctor. I'm sure he felt very awkward and embarrassed as how he could not maintain eye contact. My girlfriend told them she thinks she has strep throat so they administer the strep throat test. After taking the swab sample they tell us afterward that the test would be an additional $30. Here I am; annoyed and practicing my best poker face. Not being upfront about all costs included until it is too late I consider the same as lying. Being that this is a family care practice it would be conducive to make sure your patient knows any and all costs involved prior to seeing them and administering any pertinent tests. After receiving diagnosis and relevant prescriptions for care, I proceeded to the front desk to speak with the employee. I asked her politely why I wasn't informed about any fees regarding a testing procedure until it was already administered. She had told me she didn't know what it cost until the doctor told her how much to charge. I asked if they knew there would be a charge before the test was administered. She paused and looked at the other employee and I answered for them. "So you did know. I can tell from the look on your face." They insisted that there was no choice for me but to pay the fee and apologized that they didn't inform me. They acknowledged the fault was their own and they failed at their responsibility before finally escalating to their office manager who then waived the fee. All in all we got what we came for however the experience was most displeasing. They were indifferent with me until I was forced to show my discontent with their establishment and escalate the grievance further until it reached their manager.

I have gone back for massage since and I can say that Jennifer is the best therapist I have tried in town. She was able to mix deep pressure with good and thorough techniques. I visited the ER on Thursday due to extreme abdominal pain and had a very disappointing experience…read more I waited about 3 hours in the waiting room, which I understand can happen, but once I was finally seen, I felt like my concerns were not taken seriously. I explained in detail the level of pain I was in, along with my symptoms, including severe bloating and the fact that I had not had a bowel movement in about a week. I even mentioned that I thought it could be related to being backed up and asked for help or guidance. According to my paperwork, I was seen by Dr. Fauniel Self and Audra Velleca, NP. Despite explaining everything, no one physically examined my abdomen, and I wasn't offered any treatment to help relieve what I believed could be constipation--not even a stronger laxative. After a CT scan and blood work, I was simply given two Tylenol and told everything looked "perfect" and to continue taking stool softeners. Trusting that assessment, I went home around 4 AM. However, by midday Friday, I woke up in excruciating pain--far worse than before. It was unlike anything I've ever experienced, and I knew something was wrong. By that night, the pain was so severe I could barely walk. I decided to go to a different ER for a second opinion, and the difference in care was night and day. The doctor there took the time to listen, physically examined my abdomen, and showed genuine concern for what I was feeling. They also provided a stronger laxative, which immediately began helping. After running similar tests, they were able to properly diagnose me with appendigitis--a condition that mimics appendicitis with similar symptoms but is not life-threatening and can often resolve on its own. While I'm relieved it wasn't a dangerous condition, it was still extremely painful and scary to go through without answers the first time. I came in looking for help, clarity, and some form of relief--not pain medication, just proper care and attention. I am very disappointed in my experience at Memorial ER. I felt dismissed, unheard, and untreated. A simple exam, more attentive listening, or even basic symptom management could have made a significant difference. Do better.

When I asked for clarification, the staff responded rudely, stating this is Houston, not Sugar Land, without providing a clear explanation. Unlike Sugar Land, where all charges were clearly explained, the staff here was unhelpful and dismissive. I would recommend Sugar Land Surgery Center over this location.
