The funny part is they emailed me from the same address I sent the Zelle payment to. These people do not care about you, your family, your life or your time. They let us all the way into the examination room. The doctor came into the room and asked us to come back on Monday. He stated he was leaving in two minutes. I made a scene leaving the establishment letting them know I was displeased they even decided to take my money with the chance that we wouldn't be seeing the Doctor. 5 minutes passed before my girlfriend received a call asking us to come back. I was amused at what would come from this so I decided to go along with it and give them a chance a redemption. So we are back in the same room, no apology from the doctor. I'm sure he felt very awkward and embarrassed as how he could not maintain eye contact. My girlfriend told them she thinks she has strep throat so they administer the strep throat test. After taking the swab sample they tell us afterward that the test would be an additional $30. Here I am; annoyed and practicing my best poker face. Not being upfront about all costs included until it is too late I consider the same as lying. Being that this is a family care practice it would be conducive to make sure your patient knows any and all costs involved prior to seeing them and administering any pertinent tests. After receiving diagnosis and relevant prescriptions for care, I proceeded to the front desk to speak with the employee. I asked her politely why I wasn't informed about any fees regarding a testing procedure until it was already administered. She had told me she didn't know what it cost until the doctor told her how much to charge. I asked if they knew there would be a charge before the test was administered. She paused and looked at the other employee and I answered for them. "So you did know. I can tell from the look on your face." They insisted that there was no choice for me but to pay the fee and apologized that they didn't inform me. They acknowledged the fault was their own and they failed at their responsibility before finally escalating to their office manager who then waived the fee. All in all we got what we came for however the experience was most displeasing. They were indifferent with me until I was forced to show my discontent with their establishment and escalate the grievance further until it reached their manager.

The room was lacking care. I believe it was from staff shortage. I was walking behind the bed to get to the electric outlet and I heard crunchy sound. Oh my. Gawd. There were chips on the floor. They used to give out pretty packages of sanitation kits. Now, they are cheap looking generic brands of loose items. Looking shabby. I told the nurse, " I will back by midnight." She looked at me and said "it's 1:39am." Eh? But the clock says 10:32. Wait. Oh. My gawd. Did the clock stop with last patient's heart? That was horrible. I felt like I needed to put a battery in there myself. There was very little care during this stay. They rushed us out next day. Because "the condition stabilized", very different from my previous experiences. Food service didn't help us with already bad experience. I ordered a meatloaf and mashed potato with salad. After waiting an hour, called back to ask about the food. The person who answered the phone said "it was sent long time ago. Let me send you another one." Both arrived around the same time. One of them had salad missing. Oh. My. Gawd. They delivered to the wrong room. That's nasty. To make situation worse, breakfast orange was a Dole sugar-free orange juice imported from China. The cover stayed on the cup so tight. Plastic knife won't cut it open. Diner orange was an actual fruit. That was too late. Patient was already discharged.

When I asked for clarification, the staff responded rudely, stating this is Houston, not Sugar Land, without providing a clear explanation. Unlike Sugar Land, where all charges were clearly explained, the staff here was unhelpful and dismissive. I would recommend Sugar Land Surgery Center over this location.
