As other people have noted, you can't touch or look at any of the dresses so the experience depends on the stylist picking things out. I think this model is weird because the stylist clearly did not understand what I was communicating even though I had pictures and described what I wanted. The worker called me well in advance to ask me about my venue, style of dresses I like, etc. then, on the day I went for the dress, the stylist asked me the same questions again. What was the point of that ten minute call. I also told the lady and the person on the phone I want a certain style of dress. They kept on bringing out random dresses in styles I told them I did not like. After an hour of politely trying on dresses I didn't like, she said she didn't have any dresses in the style I like. If this is the case then I don't know why they didn't just say that and we both could have saved our time. There was not a lot of selection and it also took forever because she was looking for dresses as we met instead of preparing beforehand so there were long pauses. Maybe come here if you want to try on a variety of styles and are okay with long pauses between trying things on. After having to do alterations and dry cleaning the obviously worn dresses, I'm not sure you are saving money by buying a sample dress either. The dresses were not cheap.

It was also important to me to find a shop that had a good range of plus sized gowns as I wanted to be able to try on as many gowns as possible. This lead me to Amara Bridal which had lots or reviews mentioning reasonable prices and a wide array of sizes available in store. We booked an appointment and I was able to bring 6 people with me. We had the salon to ourselves for the majority of the appointment and the young lady helping me was so sweet! I regret that I can't remember her name. The whole shopping experience was really great and I found my gown that day. I purchased my gown in January or February 2022 with my wedding not happening until September 2023. I was nervous that supply chain issues were still impacting the wedding gown market and I didn't want to risk anything. I'm so grateful I did this, because the first time my gown arrived it was in the wrong color! The salon noticed and immediately ordered another one at no additional cost to me. It still arrived in plenty of time and I picked it up in January 2023. My only negative was that when I picked it up, I tried it on again and the gown fit like a glove. The person helping me made a comment that I would have to be careful not to gain any weight between now and the wedding in order to make sure the gown still fit. I realize she was probably just trying to be helpful, but I don't find it appropriate to comment on a stranger's weight or their maintenance of said weight. I realize I may be a bit sensitive, but I think it is a really sensitive topic for so many women and they should be cognizant of that. For what it's worth, the dress still fit me beautifully 9 months later on my wedding day. Overall, I would still recommend! Like I said the shopping and purchasing experience were great. I had plenty of dresses to choose from and try on, my salesperson was very respectful of my budget, and the salon ensured that everything was in order when I got my gown. It's a great alternative to the bridal district experience!

I got married last spring and had a bit of a dress emergency which resulted in having to buy a whole new dress about 3 weeks before my wedding. Rebecca legit saved me! She made room for me to come in for 2 appointments in the same weekend to try on basically every dress in her store and ultimately find a beautiful and affordable dress I was able to wear for my wedding. It was a pretty stressful time for me (and my mom and sister who were also gracious enough to drop everything and come shopping with me :) )but Rebecca made things as easy on us as possible. She was so honest and helpful. I only wish we had found her store months before so we didn't end up with the emergency in the first place!

I spent a day wedding dress shopping in the Reading Bridal District and tried on countless dresses, but couldn't find what I was looking for. My sister made a last minute appointment at Chaz Bridal & Consignment and the owner helped me find the perfect dress! It was several sizes too big, so she took it in. It also had too much boning for my liking, so she removed a good amount of it. My sister also found her bridesmaids dress here! The prices were all fantastic compared to what we found in other shops. Would highly recommend a visit to Chaz for formal wear, wedding dresses, accessories, and alterations.
