I bought a gold chain from this jeweler, and within six months it broke on me more than five times. Every time, I brought it back to the same place that sold it to me. At first they repaired it, but then they started charging me and blaming me for the chain breaking--even when it snapped in the same or similar spots. When I asked about swapping it for a different chain, the owner offered to buy it back for less than half of what I paid, using the repairs they did as the excuse. Not only did they refuse to continue repairing it, they tried to convince me it was my fault and expected me to pay for every fix. They didn't offer a replacement, a fair solution, or even take accountability for selling a faulty chain. The last time I went in, the chain had just broken again and only needed a simple solder. I was quoted over $40. I walked out disappointed. I really thought this was an honest, trustworthy place, but instead I felt misled and taken advantage of. Since then, I found a new jeweler, inside a furniture store in Getty Square, of all places and they repaired my chain once. It's been at least six months and it hasn't broken again. The whole situation still bothers me enough that I finally decided to write this review. My experience was genuinely terrible, and I don't want anyone else going through the same thing.

There's too much to write about every interaction, but to highlight: 1. The owner, Walter, is extremely rude, condescending, mean spirited, and unprofessional. He turned every conversation into an argument, and he made vindictive comments, like "now you can tell all your friends you ripped off your local watchmaker" to start off a conversation about price - never a productive starting point. 2. They constantly broke their own standards and promises, which made for a very frustrating experience. Told me they'd call in two weeks, never did, then got angry when I would check in after 3-4 weeks. This happened multiple times. They replaced parts when they told me they would consult me before replacing any part. 3. They told me it would take 2 weeks to service, but they had my Rolex for 6 months, and I had to return it once because they created a new problem after the first servicing. 4. They refused to show me any proof of replaced parts, while claiming they were all Rolex parts. I originally did not plan to write this review, but Walter added one last rude comment as I was leaving, so I wrote this review to spare others of my extremely frustrating and demeaning experience. After asking what happened and if I could see camera footage to rule them out of cutting a piece off they proceeded to give me attitude and stated they would not show me until 2 days later. Called the police to file a report and they stated I was a liar and that they will not be showing police the footage! They have other reviews saying they did the same to another customer 2 years prior never thought this would happen to me. Never asked for money or compensation only to get the chance to see the footage.
