Instead of immediately talking about pulling the tooth, though (which would have meant more money for him over a longer course of treatment), he recommended I go see Dr. Hiatt to check if he could re-treat the root canal and allow me to keep my original tooth. Dr. Hiatt *was* able to save my tooth, so thanks to Dr. Moore I was able to avoid having to go through a tooth pull + getting a partial or an implant. What's more, his staff is friendly, and he was perfectly willing to sit with me and explain all my options until I had all my questions answered. Will definitely be going back for regular checkups, and any other dental work I need.

I understand if one dentist is gone, another on maternity leave, if she can't "control when she has the baby" but a dental office should be able to let people know more than a single day ahead of time, or at the very least understand my frustration. When it came off again, it took the filling with it, leaving just the posts exposed. I called for help but was told the dentist was on vacation and no one else could assist. Later, an Endodontist reviewed my X-rays and found lesions on all three root canals, meaning every one now needs retreatment--less than three years later. Even worse, the fourth tooth he said needed a root canal only requires a simple filling. That says everything. He may be a nice person, but the quality of his work has cost me thousands and more procedures. Save yourself the time and money--go to a qualified Endodontist first.

When I bite the top and bottom doesn't line up. He told me that I would be able to eat what ever I want. When I went in I told him that I wanted to eat steak. He said that I would be able to, I cannot. He filled three teeth and after seven months one filling fell out. It not only fell out but the amount that fell out was twice the size of the filling. I can only surmise that he didn't drill out the whole cavity. I'm really mad because I keep throwing money in the trash. My previous dentist was just as bad.

Couldn't get him to discuss what was wrong, or what the cause was. He leaped right into a discussion of how much pulling my tooth was going to cost! I had to push him to pay attention to me, and finally got him to admit that it might just be a gum infection and I could try antibiotics first to see if it cleared up. I left his office scared and confused, unsure of what my options were and what my best course was. Will be seeking a second opinion, and a better dentist.
