This review is only based off of my experience/ first impressions and this business may work amazingly for your dog! Once I found Walk ATX it took me a while to get in contact with someone, called a couple times, left a voicemail, sent a couple emails -to no avail! Sent a dm on insta as a last resort and finally got in contact with someone! Yay! Erika helped me set up my account and went over daycare. Dropped my pup off for his first day! First impressions matter to me and as someone who is nervous I would have loved to see them greet my dog. Instead the woman at the front ( not sure her name - mullet - immediately went into a quick " take off the leash. What's his name? You'll get an update at 11" And then I watched her usher him straight to the backyard. No saying hi to the dog, no convo with me, no easing his nerves, no questions about him, no petting him, no introductions, nothing. I didn't love that, especially since it was our first time and it made me much more nervous to drop him off there. Around 11:00 I started to look for updates, none. Tried to call 3 times, no answer. Again this is his first day so not hearing anything on how he was doing and getting no photos - nerves then rose to an all time high. People are allowed to have bad days so will update this after a few more times. Just know the first day is not as informative or warm may not be as warm as you'd expect.

Our boy Mo aka Molty aka Moshi has been coming to Walk ATX since 2022. As many of you, our doggo is…read moreour family and we want only the best of the best for him. It is difficult to find a doggy boarding/day care that provides such well rounded, holistic approach to pet care. We have used Walk ATX for boarding, day camp with pick up and drop off included, and for in home check ins with walks. As well as their add-ons like baths and fun photoshoots. Mo is a party animal - we are constantly training, working with him and we fill all of his needs. Yet he is an energetic, happy 2.5yo rescue from Austin Pets Alive. He is a foster win actually. He's always soooo excited when he realizes he's about to get dropped off at Walk ATX and he's welcomed with big smiles and a huge "Hi Mo!!!!!" by the passionate and hard working staff. Walk ATX does pack walks, outdoor playtime in their yard with staff assigned to different groups of dogs. I love that there's constant supervision and a structured day. Including rest/down time, which is just as important as to not overstimulate the doggos. It seems as if Walk ATX has only gotten better over the years. They've incorporated training, special add-ons, and cool adventures. Last time Mo stayed with them while we were in Costa Rica, Britton and the team were super attentive (Mo was on limited activity for the first few days per our vet), and even called to give an update, in addition to their daily updates via email and on their app "Time to Pet". I know Mo is cared for and looked after by a group of caring animal lovers.

With not much notice, Nicole helped us out and had us covered for when we needed pet sitting. She asked all of the right questions, sent us photos every day of our babies (who we missed the entire time) and let us know (because we asked) when they were being cared for. I cannot tell you how much comfort it brought us to know that people like Nicole and her team were taking care of things while we took a whirlwind trip to get away on a Holiday week. I always say-you can't put a price tag on peace of mind but it's even better when that price tag is affordable and not breaking the bank for quality care! The price is extremely reasonable for the quality of care you get here. I'll never use anyone else and I can't recommend them enough! Seriously. Look no further!

Since he was little Mufasa has always had the same dog nanny to walk and play with him every weekday afternoon. My husband and I work long hours out of the house and believe allowing an animal to stay alone is unhealthy emotionally and physically for them. When we relocated from North Austin to South Austin, which is like moving to another city in most Austinities minds, we left behind Mufasa's dog nanny. THREE pet sitters later, all of who are on YELP, we found Capcity Pet Sitting. Capcity Pet Sitting has been a blessing to my peace of mind. I can tell when a person doesn't have the time to really put into caring for a dog and when a company is just in it for the transactional benefit. Will and Claire ENJOY taking care of our Mufasa and it shows in his attitude at the end of the day. Will and Claire always keep me updated on how the day went and any new behaviors I need to be aware of or keep an eye on. Mufasa is always played out by the time we get home and I know he's enjoyed his visit with Will and Claire. I hope we have the privilege of working with Capcity Pet Sitting for many years to come. I can't express enough how much we highly recommend them. Stephanie

I am actually on day 2 of training and can see improvements in my 9 month old. She was jumping on everyone and on other dogs with lots of excitement bc she was encouraged by visitors that "its ok, she is so cute". At 15 lbs she was cute standing up but at 55 lbs it is not cute in the slightest and could hurt someone. Megan is my trainer. I can not say enough good things about her. Just want to say I am SO pleased, happy, and thankful with/for MEGAN. *Professional *On time *Packs a in to the time we have to train *Nice *Knowledgeable+ *Adaptable *Never Negative to the dog or harsh. Just keeps showing her a better way. *Good ideas and complimentary ( in an informative way) to my dog and to me. ( It is important, so important for the owner to learn also and to learn the small differences in what they think is the best way and what a much better way is to do it. ) Love getting told that I actually am doing good too. Megan is shifting and correcting easily my dog and what she is doing. Along with if one way is working but other options may be advantageous too. ( If my visitor is calm I might be doing one thing, but if my visitor is encouraging my dog to jump then Megan gives me a different solution. Overall, after looking at a few other trainers in Austin and working with one briefly I can see there IS A BIG difference in Karma Dog Training. Everyone that helped me get to this training day was super helpful and attentive. Ok , enough said, I would encourage PUPPY owners to begin training day ONE and for those of us who waited , It's never too late! Patience , dedication, and lots of repetition will bring you and your dog to a beautiful place of understanding and ease. Gioia and I thank Megan and can't wait to see what we are doing after our 10 days of training in home. ( hey , this is so easy! They come to you , train in your environment so they can really see the dogs behavior. Yes it's work but the payoff is fantastic!. They could train without you but it's a dog-owner relationship that really seals the deal). OH, and they have many options to choose from to train your pup. Perfect! thanks thanks thanks... Bear absolutely LOVES Mac and was excited every single session, which honestly says it all. Over our time together, we worked on so much: sit, stay, drop, down, loose leash walking, reliable recall, proper greetings, high five, pool/water confidence, getting in and out of the car, touching paws, relaxation protocols, mind games, and healthy play etiquette. Mac even spent extra time educating us on pet nutrition, which was incredibly helpful and above-and-beyond. Not only is Mac an amazing trainer, they're just a genuinely great person. We learned so much and feel so much more confident as dog owners. I would 100% recommend Mac to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly effective dog trainer!
