Our boy Mo aka Molty aka Moshi has been coming to Walk ATX since 2022. As many of you, our doggo is our family and we want only the best of the best for him. It is difficult to find a doggy boarding/day care that provides such well rounded, holistic approach to pet care. We have used Walk ATX for boarding, day camp with pick up and drop off included, and for in home check ins with walks. As well as their add-ons like baths and fun photoshoots. Mo is a party animal - we are constantly training, working with him and we fill all of his needs. Yet he is an energetic, happy 2.5yo rescue from Austin Pets Alive. He is a foster win actually. He's always soooo excited when he realizes he's about to get dropped off at Walk ATX and he's welcomed with big smiles and a huge "Hi Mo!!!!!" by the passionate and hard working staff. Walk ATX does pack walks, outdoor playtime in their yard with staff assigned to different groups of dogs. I love that there's constant supervision and a structured day. Including rest/down time, which is just as important as to not overstimulate the doggos. It seems as if Walk ATX has only gotten better over the years. They've incorporated training, special add-ons, and cool adventures. Last time Mo stayed with them while we were in Costa Rica, Britton and the team were super attentive (Mo was on limited activity for the first few days per our vet), and even called to give an update, in addition to their daily updates via email and on their app "Time to Pet". Like others I live off of reviews so giving you guys the raw version for all my over protective pet parents like myself. This review is only based off of my experience/ first impressions and this business may work amazingly for your dog! Once I found Walk ATX it took me a while to get in contact with someone, called a couple times, left a voicemail, sent a couple emails -to no avail! Sent a dm on insta as a last resort and finally got in contact with someone! Yay! Erika helped me set up my account and went over daycare. Dropped my pup off for his first day! First impressions matter to me and as someone who is nervous I would have loved to see them greet my dog. Instead the woman at the front ( not sure her name - mullet - immediately went into a quick " take off the leash. What's his name? You'll get an update at 11" And then I watched her usher him straight to the backyard. No saying hi to the dog, no convo with me, no easing his nerves, no questions about him, no petting him, no introductions, nothing. I didn't love that, especially since it was our first time and it made me much more nervous to drop him off there. Around 11:00 I started to look for updates, none. Tried to call 3 times, no answer. Again this is his first day so not hearing anything on how he was doing and getting no photos - nerves then rose to an all time high. People are allowed to have bad days so will update this after a few more times. Just know the first day is not as informative or warm may not be as warm as you'd expect. read more

Literally the best!! In the pictures - the dogs and puppies are on a walk! I think it's crazy one person can control all of these pups. Impressive! My puppy is always so excited to go, so I'm happy to keep bringing him. My puppy also has patellar luxation/knee dislocation so I was grateful after we told them, they made sure to pace his walks and make sure he was resting his leg. Shanti & her crew of canine lovers were fantastic! We have a chihuahua mix & he is afraid of most dogs as he was a covid dog & didn't get much socialization early on. I was very very nervous about leaving him for a day, much less 5 days, but Shanti worked her magic. We paid extra for daily training sessions & have seen a marked improvement. It's kind of amazing. They loved him up as well. We tested his training out last night and took him in public where there were other (leashed) dogs. He didn't growl at any of the other dogs & even had a short sniffing interaction with another dog that did not lead to growling or barking. I was floored! Stop! Do not look any further! This was the best decision I made when getting a puppy. I could not be a dog owner if I didn't have the WalkATX village to help me! I work at a hospital and am frequently pulled to cover long shifts at the last minute. WalkATX is so accommodating and flexible. Every person is so professional and good at what they do. Let me break it down: Daily walks: They use a lock box with a code to let themselves in and send you picture updates and descriptions of the activity every day and immediately after the walk. Every person we worked with is amazing with my dog, Sevro. Will help train. I have a ring camera so I know when they come and go. They never skimp on time. Boarding: have use them for boarding several times. They send regular updates. Dogs are outside and getting supervised play for much of the day so I don't worry about him being 'locked up'. Dogs also go on group adventures. The headquarters are in a neighborhood, but the house is redone to be a dog heaven. Logistics: all requests are through a super easy portal. They are VERY responsive and usually approve requests within a few hours. I'm terrible at requesting on time and they even accommodate same day requests. If they can't approve it, they will text me directly- often asking if another time will work for me, so they can try and make it work. They also answer calls and texts right away with any question or concern. Bus rides to and from daycare make it so easy! They will pick him up, drop him off, and put him up all while I'm at work. You can even book a bus ride to anywhere, so they could transport the dog to a groomer and back etc. Safety: never had any incident with my dog. All play is supervised and they know when to break up rough play. I have never once felt uncomfortable with their dog walkers in my home when I'm not there. You meet your primary dog walker at the initial consult so you do get to form a relationship with them. Above and beyond: every walker REALLY cares about your pets. their walkers have taken in packages, put away groceries, and always restore my dog's whole setup to how we leave it. They have come to let him out super late at night when I had to work overnight. They have accommodated last minute boarding requests when I'm forced to travel. They take Sevro for adventures occasionally- to the stream or a park- not just a neighborhood walk. We have loved using Walk! ATX to help care for our pup when we are out of town! It is so convenient and the pup caretakers are awesome. We use a lockbox on the door so the caretakers can use a code to get our key out, and then lock back up when they are done. Every time your fur baby gets walked, the caretakers send pictures and an update on how the walk went. They even refill food, water, and give your pup medicine if needed! You can pay for different amounts of time for the walks, and they have other services as well like boarding which we haven't used. Overall, I highly recommend using Walk! ATX. read more

Oh my gosh. I cannot praise the Walk! ATX team enough. Any pet parent knows the anguish of leaving your fur babies in anyone's care other than your own. This weekend was my first time using their boarding services (I had previously had a few amazing walkers take out my Toby while I was at work 2x a week). Britton and his team went above and beyond to accommodate my (at times difficult) pup, even though I contacted them very last minute. Drop off and pick up was flexible and safe, following extra safety precautions due to Covid-19. They made sure to give me updates on how he was adapting to the "pack", and ensured that he was getting lots of snuggles, pets, and "room to do his thinking" (hilarious). This place is awesome and the people that run it are incredible! I've had my puppy in for their doggie daycare three times a week for about 6 months now and she absolutely loves it! For a little extra you can get her bathed once a week or every two weeks or whenever. If you have any questions they are super quick to respond. When my puppy went into heat for the first time, they knew before I did, and let me know right away. I had to take her out of the doggie daycare but I was able to arrange walks for her twice a day three times a week and that is worked out very well for me since I work from home and can't get out very much to walk her. By far the best dog daycare in Austin! My dog Freddy is highly energetic and loves to run. I can always judge a daycare spot based on how tired he was when I picked him up. With walk ATX, Freddy is always tired and would fall asleep as soon as he was home. The dogs are out playing most of the day in the yard and also go for long walks. Most daycares crate your dog for most of the day and allow periodic play time (not nearly enough exercise for what you are paying for). I always received a photo or video update from the team which made my day and gave me piece of mind. They also do pick up and drop off from your house, so it doesn't matter where in Austin you live! I would not take my two dogs Ben and Cash anywhere but here when needing day care or boarding. I love their schedule and the fact that they take all the dogs on pack walks daily, weather permitting. Britton and his team are so professional and friendly. I love that they have a huge backyard for the dogs to run and play. I also appreciate the texts of pictures I get of them while in their care. I wish they were closer to my house as I live in North Central Austin however their dog taxi service is convenient when I can't drop them off or pick them up myself. My corgi has been going for group walks twice a week with Ali for about a year and he loves it. I needed him not only to be exercised but socialized in a pack and Ali has been taking him out in a group of 5, 6 or sometimes even 7 different dogs of different sizes and temperaments to work on those socialization skills. I get pictures texted to me after each walk which is a nice bonus in the middle of my workday. Getting set up with Walk ATX was super easy, they responded right away to my online inquiry and scheduled a meet and greet to sign the paperwork and get started within a couple of days afterwards. I've been using them since August of 2018 when I brought home my 11 week old puppy. She had the same walker, Ashlin, for at least four months before we got a different walker, Paul (he's closer to us). Mia loves having them come, and they bring other dogs to walk with her. As a matter of fact, if I park in my driveway she checks my car to see if there are any other dogs in it. (There never are.) They always take and send great pictures with an update about how she did on the walk. Before she was potty trained, if she'd had an accident cleaned up and bathed her for me. Let me tell you a story about when these guys went above and beyond simple dog walking/sitting: We use Walk! ATX to get our dog out of his crate for a walk during the work week as both my wife and I have pretty long days. A couple of weeks ago Andrea showed up at the house to discover that our dog had really bad diarrhea and basically his entire crate and himself were an absolute mess. She took the time to clean not only the entire crate and wash off Bronson, but she even put the crate padding and blanket into the washing machine. Without asking us what to do, Andrea did what she felt needed to be done because she loves dogs so much. I can't express to you how amazing she is to have taken that on. Britton and his team were punctual. The girl who was walking my dog for me sent me photos and pictures with updates of my dog, which was nice to receive. The price was very fair, and I thought the online booking feature was convenient and easy to use. The only reason this review is not 5 stars is because the girl assigned to my house drank in my house without my permission while I was away. Normally, I would not even mind, but it made me very uncomfortable to return home to find evidence that people had been drinking (and probably partying) in my home without my knowledge or permission. It just makes you wonder who was in my house, what were they doing, etc. When you're letting someone into your home, trust is everything, so this made me very uncomfortable. That being said, I think Walk! ATX is great for daily dog walking if you are in town. However, I would not leave town and leave them with a key again. read more

We have a 2 year old pitty-lab-pointer mix and we needed someone to walk/run him during the day twice a week. Eddie came to our house at our agreed upon time (Mondays and Thursdays), and I know Keo gets not only a walk but a nice run since Britton and Eddie are fit! They are great communicators as well.
