The hotel is very simple. Parking was available in the back and front desk guys were friendly. We didn't see any breakfast available (probably due to covid)? Bed was ok and so was the heater. There was a small dresser with 3 drawers but no places to hang clothes. No hacks, hooks, wardrobes or anywhere where I could hang my suit or other clothes. Elevator was broken. They have ice and vending machines. For the price I expected more but I guess this is just an expensive region and lack of other options. This was, until recently, the second best hotel in Floral Park. Someone was sadly murdered at the best hotel, so this may now be the best hotel. To the uninitiated, the hotels on Long Island suck. I don't know why, but I have stayed at half a dozen, paid for by employers I didn't mind bilking, and they were all terrible. If you are visiting NYC and want to stay outside the city, you should be looking at New Jersey where the same money will get you something swanky. The NJ hotels are as great and cheap as the Long Island ones are expensive and bad. Again, I don't know why. The Bellerose Inn, by Long Island standards, is fine. You go into the front door and it's not really a lobby so much as a guard's desk. The elevator and hallway are serviceable. It wasn't particularly scary in the room. The bed was comfortable, and it was fairly quiet so I actually had a good night's sleep. There aren't things like a closet or a phone in the room. But unlike the other hotels on Long Island that I have stayed at, it did not smell like piss, its windows opened to the outside instead of a corridor, and I did not contract hives. As a woman traveling alone, I at first assumed that they thought I was an older prostitute, but there do seem to be at least a handful of tourists staying there. To my surprise, the cars that were in the parking lot when I went in at night were still there in the morning. Anyway, if you need to be in Floral Park these are your choices. read more

The Bellrose Inn providess excellent quality rooms and customer service consistently. Syeed and all staff are courteous and resourceful no matter the delema. Infact call or go to them directly to reserve rooms as they give better prices and availiblity than the various hotel reservations which market them do. I could tell you - my not-so-cool experiences with Bellerose Inn in Queens in 2018, between Feb to April. I stayed at Inn about one month. Before I started, I researched the information through websites including Bookings.com, I found them inexperience and inaccurate. Friendly Staff? So-so. Some do and some don't. They do discriminate against. Some staff DID discriminate against me as my being - deaf being - with my medicine needs and health reasons...even though they already knew but did not seem concerned in any matters. I did report them about my medicine reasons and myself as deaf, they did welcome me to stay on the 1st floor. But my first-time arrival, a room was not unlocked with two "Bellerose Inn" charged cards...I did come back to the front-desk staff and tell them about it. That staff, the guy did check it and did check a different room near the elevator and let me sleep there. That's GOOD. First to Second Weeks in the morning for Breakfast, There was a 'cooker' in the kitchen. *A cooker was a female Indian; age about 40's, slightly old lady, kind of average or chubby body.* She unfriendly abused me mentally and physically, repeatedly. She repeatedly looked and stared at me, each time I arrived and tried to mind my business by getting food. It's not because I was African American or deaf. It's because I soundly breathed through my mouth, due to my bad congestion (my nose) and bad allergies - you know, heavily breathing -, due to my anxiety. Medicines (for anxiety) didn't help mostly. I reminded ignoring her but her body bothered me cuz she moved around restless and tried to come to me, AS IF SHE TRIED TO BULLY ME AWAY. Yes, she kind of threatens me. I was annoyed and furiously looked at her. Then, I took some and left to my Inn room. Another day, she kept doing the same things, even though there were security cameras in the kitchen room. She did record me with her cell phone, I saw her through my dark glasses. She did go outside and pretend to clean snow around parking lot near my car. She was nosy and looking inside my car through the window. WTF? THAT'S UNACCEPTABLE. I felt inappropriate when she grabbed the BIG GRAB/ TWIN FORK and cleaned them, after I took some egg with cheese and spicy sausages. Yet she did not clean, after other people used them. THAT'S DISCRIMINATION AGAINST ME. Between 3 TO 5 weeks, I grew up unpleased and really wanted to hurt that immature, old 'lady'. Another Indian woman (in 30's) who cleaned floors in the hall with the vacuum loudly every day. And maybe on weekends, too? I couldn't remember about weekends. Anyway, I came out and looked for the trash chute cuz my trash in my room was full. I tried to find but couldn't find it. I saw a vacuum lady in the hall, probably at 9 or 10 am, and gently approached her with a note, and tried to ask but she heard me as I approached, due to my breathing... she peeked me and walked away and paused. I started feeling not happy more and paused, then tried to ask her...but she walked back and away again and paused again and peeked. I was done and returned to my room. Later, I tried to call one of Staff on the front desk sometimes in the morning and afternoon in different days, they hung up on me few times. I called them again and did try to tell them about my complains on specific staff who violated toward me. They didn't seem concerned but hang up on me. Cuz other staff continued being unfriendly to me. I bitterly ignored them for few weeks until the last day I left to return to my home. * I hope they need to get fired and kicked out for discriminating against repeatedly. HOWEVER, if they still work there, then good luck cuz KARMA will bite them, eventually.* -------- Breakfast, along with sweets - that's OK. They came from the frozen box, from the cooler. Folded egg with cheese inside and spicy beef sausages were always cooked in the microwave, from the frozen to 'cooked' in the silver cover. The silver cover helped to keep warm them from the inside. Drinks were OK except I liked hot chocolate from the packs. Maybe I liked them cuz I never drank hot chocolate for ages since I was a young adult. Taste does tricks. Refundable? Acceptable. Price? About right. Room? Nice room. The Heat/AC? Uncomfortable. Someone forgot to clean inside or change the filter. It dirt sprayed over the bed and the room. Measurements could be problematic in the room. The bed was not firm, not good. Bathroom? So-so. Some OK, some dirty. Smudges could be seen in the walls and in the shower. I didn't see any insects there. Towels? Good and clean. All white, varied sizes. It could be used, and re-use. Shower? It's OK. But the problem was the flood. The flood appeared in the shower and the bathroom. *They need to add the vents or holes for the flood to drain, instead using towels to absorb the flood.* Recommendation? No. It's not healthy at all. Honestly this is a great location if you're visiting New York. we picked it because we wanted to be somewhere between New York City and Long island to explore. you could literally walk three blocks to the train that'll take you to Penn station and let you off where the empire State building is. This was $25 round-trip ticket leaving bellerose station, purchased from a machine available outside the train. Spent the day in New York City, went back to Penn station after taking a quick Subway, returned safely and walked 3 blocks back to the hotel. Cute store across the street for drinks and snacks. Parking was a little bit of a challenge due to their small lot but we managed to do it. I recommend going to Nancy's Italian restaurant for a delicious meal which is a few blocks away. Close to all freeways and highways I was really impressed with the staff and how much they wanted to be of help to us. The rooms were clean and although the breakfast was simple it was just enough to get you started. variety of cereals, cheese omelette with sausage, donuts and bagels and English muffins. I must say the coffee was amazing! Neighborhood was safe and easy to walk around. I stayed here for two days since my house is under renovation and decided to come here. It wasn't too bad, the staff was friendly, and honest. The room is small but cozy, I had a nice sleep. Although it's a small hotel can't expect much from it but it's pretty decent. Best part was free breakfast I enjoyed staying at Bellerose Inn. read more

We didnt get our room cleaned even though we took down our do not disturb sign before the end of round of cleaning. when we asked for clean towels, they rudely told us to come down and get it ourself. a note was supposed to be left for the manager about the cleaning, we spoke to her on the phone before leaving, nothing was done. This was the worst experience I have ever had in a hotel. Rude, unhelpful staff, someone went through the armoire and my suitcase while I was at work. They currently house the homeless, which would be admirable if it wasn't for the people loitering in the halls all night, the noise and explain to me why there was a barking dog... never again. Traveled here from Maryland for New Years and the stay was great. Check in was fast. I'm not sure why this hotel has a lot of 1 stars, we read before we booked that they housed the homeless but it didn't seem to be a problem. The neighborhood was nicer than we expected and ate at a Mexican restaurant across the street. The hotel is surround by a lot of stores if you need to pick up something quick, it's in walking distance. The hotel is also easy to see at night because they display changing lights. What you would expect for this area and this price range. Thin walls, hard mattresses, lousy breakfast but it seves it's purpose. Not a vacation spot or a romantic getaway but if you need tp get out of the house for renovations or are in town for a funeral it will do. I read the reviews and don't know what these people are talking about. The front desk gentleman could not have been nicer. Our room was fine! The room is small but adequate, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Compared to the very high prices at JFK, this was worth the Uber cost to get to it. ($50.00 for 4 of us). I liked it as did my sister and husband. I never saw any homeless or prostitutes. The lobby was fine. Didn't care for the breakfast much, the omelettes were made with Velvetta cheese, but the coffee and bagels were fine. I would definately stay again! read more

Be aware of the property. We booked 6 months in advance only to have them cancel our reservation 24hrs before our trip from Florida was to begin. Due to some sort of problem. The property never called us instead they had AARP call us to tell us were no longer had a room which we booked and paid for 6 months ago for a 7 night stay It is peak vacation time and we were in a panic. I got in touch with the organizer of the 50th reunion and were able to secure lodging through AARP at another place This is very inconsiderate and rude. They just stuck it to us and we were left to fend for ourselves..Beware you have no rights if they choose to cancel you out for whatever reason. Management is poor at this property.
