TLDR: Hire Jamie -- she's amazing! 1. All of our vendors loved Jamie and were so relieved when I would mention that she was our coordinator. She's very well connected in the town. The owner of our venue said Jamie is now top of his list for coordinators. She made everything easy. Because she knew nearly all of the vendors we used, she reached out to them to make sure we were on track and would send me reminders if she or I needed to clarify anything. Jamie gave me most of my vendor recommendations except for food and dessert -- just because we knew exactly which vendors we wanted. 2. Jamie is very responsive and flexible. If I needed to have a quick chat about plans I was considering, we would have a phone call and go over my list of items and her list of items. It helped reassure me that I was on track with planning. If you have questions, she will provide ideas. If you know exactly what you want, she will execute to a t. My in-laws worked with Jamie to plan a Welcome Dinner (i.e. rehearsal dinner for about ~90 folks). They knew exactly what they wanted and Jamie was able to execute. I think the only hang up they had was on linen prices and they were able to work it out. My husband and I were a bit more non-traditional in our ideas. We officiated the wedding ourselves. We had a couch and a stack of books as our chuppah. We brought kegs from California. Jamie made our wedding day run seamlessly. I didn't have to worry about a thing. At one point, one of our kegs was still foamy and Jamie's assistant Robin was texting with a local bartender to resolve the jockey box issues. Even at that point, right before walking down the aisle, I knew I didn't need to worry about a thing because Jamie had it all under control. Plus, her staff is amazing. When her staff noticed a couple of our kegs were out or nearly out, they did a beer run just in case. We were then able to exchange any unused beer. Other spots you can return unused alcohol. 3. Be clear about budget for time and materials. We had Jamie and her staff execute the day-of and help with some pre-planning. I put my head in the sand a bit more than I initially intended. Jamie has lots of items available for use during the wedding and they do come at a cost, which is understandable. Everything looked beautiful and I'm happy that I rented items from her rather than buying myself because now I don't have to deal with re-selling anything; however, it added up to more than I anticipated. Also, I ended up using more of her staffs' time than I initially anticipated -- e.g. last minute we decided to do a table assignment board rather than writing table numbers on mason jars. Still, it was worth it. Just ask her for periodic updates on budget vs. actual. 4. For someone who doesn't live locally, she was perfect. I used to live in Denver, but now live in the Bay Area. I go to CB about once a year, so I'm relatively familiar with the area but needed someone local to help. My husband and I met Jamie when she provided venue consultation for us. I told her what we wanted and she arranged a few different locations for us to see. She also kept in mind our timing and the cost of her time; for example, she didn't take us to any CBMR properties because it takes time to visit each site at the resort and there is a coordinator there who can show you the locations. Given that she was local, I could use her studio space to store items that I needed from home or had bought for the wedding even before I arrived. 5. She was on point with our timeline. When it was time to walk down the aisle, she and her staff were making sure people were already seated. When it was time for toasts, she made sure each speaker knew when they were up. We danced the hora and she had the song cued -- we had a bluegrass band, so we turned to youtube or spotify or honestly I don't know what because she took care of it. She made sure my husband and I ate first, which was a godsend because otherwise we would have been starving by the end of the night. read more

This summer our daughter was married in Crested Butte. She had decided that once the wedding weekend started, all the fun would begin and our jobs would end. Our daughter hired Jamie Booth/Blue Bird Wedding and Events to be our wedding coordinator and we could not have been happier with this plan. Jamie was not only the most pleasant person to have around us all the wedding weekend, but she was the most professional, and detailed oriented person ever. Jamie started with us the day of the rehearsal and never left our side until the wedding receptions were over....there were 2 that weekend. Jamie knew ever detail of the wedding plan...she kept contact with our daughter during the planning of the wedding festivities and met with me (Mother of the Bride) and our daughter once we arrived in Crested Butte. Jamie had a team of people whom she put to work the minute all the details were discussed. However, I never saw them or met them and they were totally anonymous and behind the scenes, so we never felt like there were strangers attending our wedding. There were a couple of secret things that we had perpared for the Bride and Groom, and Jamie and her team executed these things not only perfectly, but improved on them in a way that pleased everyone... Our daughter and I never had to think about one thing, once Jamie took over. Every detail, every precious item we had brought for the wedding were in place, perfectly executed, and then returned to our car, intact, ready for the drive home that Sunday. Hiring Jamie Booth/Blue Bird events to coordinate our wedding was the best decision we could have made. Jamie helped us with finding vendors, organizing the day of timeline, managing all the décor and flowers and then executing our wedding day. Jamie has the perfect balance of being polite and being able to wrangle everyone from crazy family members to disorganized vendors. "Organized hustle" was the way my husband described it and I would have to agree. Jamie kept all of our wedding details, needs and wants organized in her mind (and a detailed timeline) and made sure those ideas and goals were achieved. Jamie did a great job creating my dream wedding! She was there helping me with everything from picking the vendors, to making decorations, creating the floral arrangements, running around the day of to make sure everything went as planned, and pretty much anything else you can think of! I am not good at making decisions and I trusted Jamie's opinion on many of our vendors, details/decor ideas, and floral arrangements. She did a great job of pulling together my mishmash of ideas from Pinterest and creating a truly memorable event. Jamie was always organized, very knowledgeable of the area and it's vendors and she would constantly check in with me if she needed me to make a decision. I have a very demanding job and was travelling most of the time leading up to the wedding and Jamie did a great job of reminding me of the things we still needed to do and always accommodated my busy schedule. Let me preface my review by stating that I was a pregnant bride, who was also moving from one town to another during the planning of our wedding - so needless to say I was NOT a calm and relaxed bride-to-be! I was also trying to plan our wedding while 4 hours away from Crested Butte, and the venue I chose was - well - not the easiest to deal with. However, none of this phased Jamie at all. Jamie was one of my few rays of sunshine and a source of solace during this planning process because I knew she would take care of everything! Her attention to detail is unparalleled, and she does everything with a positive attitude and class. Furthermore, she can do anything you ask. For instance, I did not hire a florist for my wedding because Jamie took on the task of making my bridal bouquet and bridesmaid's bouquets. They were STUNNING. This is just one example of many! We explored most of the options for a wedding coordinator in Crested Butte, and we ultimately chose Jamie because of her ability to provide excellent one-on-one service.
