I went in for a third consult regarding a ruptured Achilles tendon. I was frustrated, hurting and frightened of what may be lie ahead based on other doctor's visits for this surgery. I was also late because I went to the wrong building, then the wrong floor in that building until I found I wasn't even on the correct streets. When I arrived the front desk was kind and so helpful. She put me at ease saying, "don't worry...we will take care of you. I met Dr Hall and I knew immediately I was in the right place. I apologized for being tardy and his sweet response was " oh I knew you'd get here. I've been waiting." No reprimands. How refreshing. Dr Hall was kind, knowledgeable, thorough, and I told my husband that I was sorry but I found a new love. :-) He made me that at ease with everything moving forward. There are lots and lots of Ortho doctors out there and I've had a few bad experiences. This time I got it right. Thank you Dr Hall. read more

He is a professional surgeon and I have nothing bad to say about him. I have mixed feelings about ProOrtho. I think my surgeon has been top notch. Absolutely great. And I love his PA. But I have encountered other issues, most notably, with the business staff and the failure to pay attention to details or to treat patients with respect. I've also been less than thrilled with the competency, or rather lack there of of some of their medical assistant staff. I had surgery at their surgery center, and the first thing the surgical prep nurse tried to do was provide me with a medication that was on my allergy list. Post surgery, they also provided medication that was contraindicated by my surgeon's direction. I feel like they have a system in place and follow their system instead of caring about the patient. I also f found some of the post surgical direction has been sketchy and incomplete and in one case, even contradictory to the information provided by my surgeon in advance of my surgery. When I tried to draw this to their attention, they brushed me off. If you work with this facility, please be sure to advocate for yourself, stand your ground, and ask lots of questions for clarification. I would not send my super senior dad or less competent family member here without me being right at his side to advocate, and you shouldn't either. read more

Pro ortho in Kirkland now has urgent care on Saturdays from 10 AM to 6 PM! I am so happy I used them! I dropped in this past Saturday to address an issue with my knee. Every single person we came in contact with went above and beyond in helping me. They are professional, knowledgeable, highly skilled, and very kind. I scheduled an appointment with a physician to discuss my arthritic shoulder, had a good meeting with him, he said scheduler would call to set up surgery time. Next call was from some young lady who informed me that their pre-authorization had been denied by my insurance, that I had to have 6weeks of failed PT before they would OK surgery. I called insurance, the doctors office had never requested the pre-auth, and if they had the xray images would have been sufficient to override the PT issue. Called the doctors office back, told same young lady what my insurance said. She called me back two days later. Same story. Same lie. I called their office, tried to talk to office manager, no call back. I sent email to their central office, no reply. Simply said, if their front office lies to me repeatedly, what can I expect from the medical team. Advice: MOVE ON. I have read more

Dr. Hall and his staff have been amazing during my foot surgery journey! I arrived to him in June after suffering a fracture in March that would not heal! After a few recommendations about ProOrtho (and specifically Dr. Hall), I showed up not knowing what to do next and he was able to advise me on my options. Once I made the big decision to do surgery, his team had me scheduled just 5 days later for surgery. They were prompt with all their calls pre-surgery and I felt reassured right up to the day of surgery. They were able to give post-op instructions and how to set myself up for success. On the day of surgery the surgical team and Dr. Hall were wonderful. My continued trips for X-rays etc during my healing process has been great, they are realistic and honest about my progression, and I'm finally on the mend! I just got back from my appointment with Dr. Antoine and I am impressed at his attitude, knowledge and thoroughness in explaining my knee issues. We decided on a course of action and I'm satisfied with that. To what others are saying about staff here. It was crowded and I do suspect they deal with a lot of L&I patients. The front desk people were great and the X-ray tech as well. I'll admit the MA was a bit lukewarm but that's it. Dr. Fuch was cold, judgy, & misogynistic. Told my dear friend her knees were bone on bone, but because she's overweight, said he wouldn't touch her until she lost 80 lbs & to go walk or swim 80 laps. She's not even that big. He wouldn't discuss alternative treatments like cortisone or chicken injections. Total time he spent w/ her was less than 5 minutes. Strongly encouraging her to file complaints w/ his board, her insurance & the Board of Medicine. She didn't deserve to be treated that way. No one does. read more

Have to agree with the other reviewers about the horrible staff. Doctor was nice enough but only got to see him once for a broken bone. The follow-up appointment was rescheduled last-minute by the office because the doctor was scheduled for surgery. Ok, fine. It happens. Went in at the rescheduled time a few days later to be treated like garbage by the girl with long blonde hair at the front desk. Instead of apologizing that the doctor was in surgery again, she snottily told me she had called me "several times" to reschedule AGAIN but claimed my phone line rang busy every single time. She was rude and acted put off by what...doing her job?! And the excuse that my line rang busy...,uh, yeah, right. It's my cell phone, with functioning voicemail, and there wasn't a voicemail from this office. So they couldn't also email or text to try to reach me? I think she forgot to call at all and this was her way of covering up her mistake. instead of apologizing for my inconvenience of driving from a neighboring city to this now rescheduled appointment, I ended up listening to her gripe about it and then put me off for yet another week because the doctor was too busy. Forget it. Canceled the appointment and found a better place with super nice staff, as it should be at a doctor's office. Patients have enough stress as it is without dealing with incompetent jerks at the front desk! I have high-tech insurance, too, so this practice lost an opportunity to overbill like they've done to other patients who have left Yelp reviews! read more

I'm not really sure where some of these negative reviews are coming from, but I can tell you, my experience was exemplary. I've been seeing this clinic for probably 10 years. I had Dr Jamie Antoine replace my shoulder joint and he was caring, insightful, explained everything perfectly and was kind. But it wasn't just him. The whole staff is remarkable. His MA Lillian got back to me as soon as she possibly could. The front staff was friendly and kind. They are all warm and inviting and the fastest moving clinic I have ever been in. I shattered the top of my humerus and Dr. Koo and his PA Claudia have been great. Dr Koo did a great job of putting my shoulder together with a plate and pins/screws and I'm hoping for a full recovery. On week 3 now post op. Since he only does shoulders, he can focus and be very good at that Update, I have about 90% function in my shoulder which is better than expected. Very happy with my result. read more

The doctors may be good, but good luck getting in to see one! If seeing Dr. Nelson, you have to bypass scheduling and call someone in his office. After leaving multiple messages, she finally called me back...a week later!!! Need a referral to anyone outside their clinic? Good luck with that too! They say they fax things that seem to be lost in space somewhere and never reach the recipient. My bad! The first time I ever visited this place, I waited TWO AND A HALF HOURS before I was seen. Doctors are fine. The problem is the staff. My husband had a total shoulder replacement surgery. First appointment pos surgery was schedulle for 15 days after that. He got there 8 min late and they refused to see him, saying that there is a 7 minute limit in their policy. (where on earth is 7 min a policy?!) On prevoius appointments we waited for them much longer than 7 min (30, 40...), I can assure you! Not to mention that it was winter, their parking lot was full, had ice and still snow blocking spots, a truck parked in front of the building....they believe we should have planned for that, I assume.... Well, they block 15 min appointments for each patient, even for a post surgery...what do you think?! He was in pain. A lot if pain, as you can expect after such a huge/agressive surgery. They could't care less. Nobody even asked how he was doing. Jennefer, Dr. Koo's manager, was " way too busy" to even talk to us and sent a message to front desk that we could provide feedback by email or call her later. Here is the feedback: They could be the best doctors of the world, but the full experience counts. You see them for a very short time and depend a lot on their staff. So, if you are looking for a place that cares about the patient, which you will need in this type of situation, go find another clinic. read more

I had a 1:30 appointment and came early to fill out a ream of forms. I finally was seen by a medical assistant at 2:15. I was interested in stem cell therapy to repair shoulder damage. After a 5 minute session with the technician reviewing my X-rays, she said that stem cell therapy "might" reduce the pain, but would not regrow the rotator cuff. I asked about the price and was told it was $6500...using my stem cells, my blood, a few syringes and a centrifuge. My insurance was charged almost $300 for this 5 minute session and I never saw a doctor. This is a grossly overpriced therapy that uses optional surgery costs for justification. read more

I was in a major car accident that I walked away with what I thought was bumps and bruises. Within 48 hours I started to feel intense back pain and discomfort. Since I had previously seen another physician in the group I decided to call and get an appointment. I gave them the insurance claim number and they said they would get back to me shortly. 24 hours later, no response. I had the insurance adjuster call and she reported calling and gave me the name of the person she spoke with. I called again the following day. Was told their standard line of we will get back to you. Still heard nothing so I called again. (Several days including a weekend have gone by) Was told the insurance person never called and they were waiting on the person on their end to verify the claim. I kept pushing that it had already been verified three days after the accident. I feel badly for the person taking the call as I got very upset and lost my cool. SHE TIPPED HER HAND SAYING THAT IF I WANTED TO BE SEEN QUICKLY, I HAD TO USE MY MEDICAL INSURANCE AND NOT THE AUTO INSURANCE. WHAT KIND OF SCAM IS THIS??? Save your time and energy and go elsewhere. Had a surgical management on my isolated ulna nightstick from Dr. Hall. He listened and addressed all my concerns with pros and cons if I want to have the hardware remove in the future. After 3 months out of the surgery, my arm is fully healed and I couldn't be any happier. Had surgery on my foot. Numbness afterwards was never a complication that was discussed. Currently dealing with this which is frustrating. Good luck getting into this office however because if you actually get an appointment, be prepared for them to call a day or 2 in advance to cancel and reschedule. This has happened to me on all 3 of my last appointments. Their schedulers have a very "oh well" too bad kind of attitude. The wait times are always extremely long and they seem to have more patients than they can actually manage. I'd recommend searching elsewhere for your orthopedic needs. read more

Re: Dr. Jeffrey Roh I asked him a single question: "What is the prognosis for the procedure you are recommending"? He all but laughed me off ... I had already decided NOT to schedule the surgery within the first minute of meeting Dr. Roh. His egregiously inappropriate response to such a fundamental question, closed my relationship with ProOrtho entire. Dr. Roh's elitist, beyond reproach, arrogant manner is the single reason I did not schedule surgery with ProOrtho. I want to thank him for playing his role in my process - as it did help clarify and add to my confidence in the surgeon I have now scheduled my surgery with. No other questions were asked, as he was not to be questioned. His hasty departure made it clear that he was a legend in his own mind - he accomplished all of this inside of 10 minutes. I would give minus stars if possible. My 15 yr old had a ski injury to her knee. We were seen on dec 19- referral request was sent to our insurance for an MRI. I called 3 times after Dec 25 to check on the status of the referral and they kept saying they haven't received the authorization from my insurance yet. Once the receptionist told me that "these things take time" and was very rude, sounding annoyed with me for calling and questioning their protocol. Once they told me they didn't know which lab we were referred to for the MRI when insurance approved it. When I called back again and talked to another person I received the MRI lab info and then the MRI lab also called the clinic on my behalf to check on the status of the authorization and was told the same thing (waiting for insurance to authorize). Finally I called my insurance to find out that it was in fact authorized and sent to Pro Ortho on December 22. It is now Jan 9 - my daughter has been on crutches and in pain for two weeks waiting on a diagnosis and potential treatment. I'm not sure why they didn't follow up with my insurance after so many calls from me and the MRI lab to at least check. Instead they were rude to me and did nothing and waited all the while, it had been sent. read more

Do not use their surgery center for anything complicated - there is no back up or any one to call if things aren't going well. I had a hind foot fusion done there and, even though I expressed preference for the hospital, the dr insisted. They work on a formula and I was sent home with a pain medication that I had never has before. I asked for something else but they couldn't do it. Even with antinausea drugs I had projectile vomiting. Was told that they couldn't prescribe anything else as they had given me that narcotic. End result I went through a hind foot fusion pain with nothing but Tylenol. read more

**UNINSURED PATIENTS TAKE NOTE** UPDATE 6 MONTHS LATER: this review does not in any way reflect the care I received from Dr Sanela and nurse Megan. They were both AMAZING while I was treated here, and I am only updating now because I know Sanela no longer works here. I had previously left 5 stars. This update reflects the billing side of this office. So I came in and got my first cast put on. I paid my out of pocket visit fee ($75) after the appointment because I was an uninsured ER referral. I expected that bill. As I hobbled out in my fresh cast I set up my next appointment in 4 weeks to have my cast taken off and my next one put on. NOT ONE PERSON in the front office let me know, "Heyyy you know how this visit will cost you $800 cash money? You will have to pay ALL OF IT before we will see you again to take your cast off." Because lo and behold a month later I got a call from their billing office *the day before my appointment* that I will have to pay my bill or I'm trapped in my cast until I find the money. I'm fortunate that I was able to do so but I would have been screwed otherwise, or I would have to find another office to do the X-rays and removal and re-casting, and pay the same bill twice. Second cast comes off 3 weeks later and my break hasn't healed. Surgery talk begins and my surgery will be close to $9,000 out of pocket, 50% of which is due up front before surgery and the rest within 6 months of surgery. Being a private practice, they have no leniency, no charity program, no payment plans. Excuse me while I walk in a boot for 7 months until open enrollment kicks in and I'm insured so I can get surgery somewhere else. I understand they have a bottom line and bills to pay, but jesus murphy. read more

Dr. Camille Clinton did surgery on a torn meniscus for me. She did a perfect job diagnosing and repairing the injury. The nursing staff in the recovery room inappropriately gave me narcotics, which I am allergic to and had a RED arm band on, indicating that I should NOT receive narcotics. MY preparation of anti-nausea prescription meds saved me from suffering the side effects of the narcotics but, that was something I arranged, NOT Proliance!! Rehab was completely unhelpful. I researched recovery and found that a recumbent bike was a good option for rehab. It worked wonders and I'm doing great. Dr. Samuel Koo performed shoulder cuff surgery on my husband. Again the surgery was extremely well done, HOWEVER, the pre & post operative care were a NIGHTMARE! The office staff is completely UNMOTIVED and are very, very poor communicators. My husband was nearly overdosed with narcotics, suffered a staph infection near the incision site, and had mystery foot swelling, all which landed him back in the dr's office and the ER because we had no idea what was happening to him. We relied on his primary care physician to support the staph infection recovery,an independent PT to support rehab (Chris Wong), and an emergency room Dr. to understand the post operative swelling and excessive narcotics. We found the support, administrative, and reception staff to be cool and indifferent. They had to be pushed HARD to be motived to be helpful. The call-in hold music is a horror and the waiting room broadcasts unwanted television programming to EVERYONE but, clearly is there to entertain the reception staff. BOTTOM LINE: Go here for good surgery BUT, BUT, BUT have your primary care physician queued up for support and obtain their pharmaceutical advice in advance. Find PT support elsewhere and research it for yourself. read more

I went in for a knee injury a few months ago and have since seen two doctors on staff there. One of which was retiring and barely interested in my injury at the time. The second doctor (Camille Clinton) was who I then preferred to see due to her Bio on the website. She was as helpful as I guess she could be due to the unknown actual injury. I cant say whether or not she is a bad physician because I dont think she actually is, I am just disappointed that my pain was not well managed or diagnosed. I have spent TOO much money since being hurt, so being told by a few doctors that they dont know what is necessarily wrong, is disheartening and frustrating. Beyond that, the staff is great. Front desk is friendly. I am a cash-pay patient too, so I was mostly relieved that my visits didnt cost more than 150$ each time out of pocket. read more

I dislocated and broke my left ankle in three places on Friday, February 1, 2019. The ER at Providence Everett set the dislocation and sent me on my way with instructions to call to set an appointment to meet with an Orthopedic Surgeon the coming Monday. We were experiencing snow during that time and there were no surgeons at Providence available for me to speak with or schedule an appointment. I was in a tremendous amount of pain and out of pain medication from the ER so I was desperate to find a Doctor who could see me. My wife suggested I call ProOrtho so I did and got in touch with Meagan. She set an appointment for me the next morning with Dr. Jonathan Hall and I am so grateful that she did. I met with Dr. Jonathan Hall and he assured me that I would be taken care of and that I was "In the system now". Dr. Hall performed surgery on my ankle and installed 2 plates and 13 screws. After that I came in for progress sessions and X-Rays to insure that everything was healing properly and it was. My final meeting with him as 4/30/2019 and he pronounced me fully healed. The final X-Rays indicated perfect alignment and he also said that there was no indication of arthritis and expected a full recovery with some additional Physical Therapy. He also set me up with a wonderful Physical Therapist at Premier Physical Therapy and that is working out very nicely. His last words to me were - If you or anyone in your family ever need anything or have any questions do not hesitate to call me and I will be there for you. I know the amount of education and sacrifice it takes to become an Orthopedic Surgeon - Dr. Hall is an expert and we are fortunate to have him and his skill set in the community - If you ever need him you will understand what I am writing about. I have to say that I didn't have a good experience with ProOrtho. There are two complains 1. I felt like a wallet in a money making machine. Not like a patient in pain, and not even like a customer. 2. I had an appointment with Dr. Price in Monroe (I drove there from Kirkland to see him so I can see him sooner) and after waiting for 30 min in the room for him, the nurse told me that he doesn't have time to see me, but his PA is available and I can see him if I want. So, when there is a customer appointment both sides need to show up. The patient and the DR. When one of them doesn't show up because he is busy, the experience will not be good. At the same time I am sure you will ask my insurance company to pay you full price for your services. I can provide more info if you want .. but you ProOrtho you really need to fix the way you approach it. I have no problem with the PA (Clark) or the person who did my MRI and did the best they could. They were both approachable and professional. - I have an issue with the person who scheduled my visits (notice that I never requested Dr. Price. I could see any doctor there who was available) but the protocol says to stay with the same Dr. throughout your visits there. I was in acute pain and very casually she mentioned that my next earlier appointment would be on 5/2 (day at the time was 1/18). Two weeks out while in acute pain and after having an MRI and fearing a fracture in spine. After pushing her for something sooner she mentioned they will squeeze me but I need to drive to Monroe (that I accepted). Seeing another dr. was not possible due to their protocol. I suggested it and I was fine with it. - I have an issue with Dr. Price that I never saw. Both times I saw his PA and up to this point I have no idea if he even saw my X-ray or my MRI. Who has the liability and responsibility in this case. The PA or Dr. Price ? - I have an issue with the nurse in Monroe who very easily got me into the room to wait for Dr. Price. She left me there for 30 min waiting, then she comes in to say that Dr. Price has no time for me because he is with another customer, and I can see his PA if I want. Also, she mentioned that they had tried to "squeeze" me in Dr. schedule and it didn't work. Dr. Jonathan Hall did my fairly extensive foot surgery this past February and it went well. I was referred to Dr. Hall by my cousin - who also had a great experience with her foot surgery. While foot surgery & recovery isn't fun, it was done well - from first consult with Dr. Hall, through surgery, recovery, and follow-up appointments. Dr. Hall listens and communicates well, taking time to answer all my questions. His medical assistants are also really kind & efficient - x-ray, casting, boot fitting, etc. I am 8 month post surgery and right on track. I highly recommend Dr. Hall. read more

The monitor in the lobby stated my doctor was running on schedule... 25 minutes after scheduled appointment time I was brought back to exam room and then waited another 10 minutes. This is normal for them. Doctor was uncaring and made me feel like a drug seeker. Misdiagnosed and unnecessary surgery performed. Now I'm in constant pain. You're just a number there. read more

And messaging Dr Koo directly from the FaceBook site yielded one reply but no follow up after three weeks of trying. I hand a tarmac fall over the 4th causing serious damage to my rotator cuff. They got me in for an appointment Monday AM, with Dr. Antoine. Then they lined up the MRI Monday afternoon. Back in Tuesday morning for a consult. And then it was surgery the following Wednesday. The staff was very helpful in getting me all the paperwork and appointments & tests lined up that needed to be completed before surgery. They were also very helpful right after surgery with additional insurance paperwork. The surgery went very well and I am highly pleased with Dr. Antoine and all the staff support. I would got there in a heart beat. These are winners that take pride in there work and supporting their patients. Having the MRI and surgical unit in the same building is fantastic. read more

Shoulder Surgery Protocol Doctors that preform shoulder replacement surgery do not address the risk of Pulmonary Embolism (blood clots). Most hospitals address this risk for any surgery while the patient is in the hospital. After the patient is released from the hospital it is the doctors responsibility to address this risk. If you are contemplating shoulder surgery and you ask your doctor the question! "Do you address the risk of Pulmonary Embolism after shoulder surgery"???? If the doctor ignores your question or the answer is no, don't walk but run for the door and find a doctors who will address the problem. My wife and I did not ask this question and the doctor did not address this risk. The result was it cost my wife her life! read more
