It's a bit of a hike from downtown, but there is street parking, and we opted to take public transportation. Once you arrive, it's absolutely worth the trip. The historic building, interior design, and overall vibe are excellent. It's the kind of place where you can enjoy a great meal and drinks, have a conversation, or simply relax and hang out for a while. They also have vegan options, which always makes me happy! From pizza to dessert, there's something for pretty much every diet. The food was fresh, portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. They also offer happy hour specials on their house wines--yay! There are so many delicious local wines to choose from. Service is usually stellar, and this visit was no exception. Haze was incredible--friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely kind--making an already great experience even better. I love this off-the-beaten-path winery and will definitely make a point of visiting every time we're in Vancouver. Definitely worth the trip!

I'm not the type of emotionally underdeveloped person who needs a standing ovation and a foot rub whenever I enter a shop; however, I do require the basics...like speech. On my last visit, the clerk was fully preoccupied with his telephone, tapping away madly, when we arrived at the counter with over $100 worth of purchases. Without a word from the clerk, our items were hurriedly scanned, and we were then prompted to pay electronically. During the entire process, the clerk only looked up from his phone to scan our purchases, and then just as quickly returned to his phone again. This is the abysmal standard set by this employee, and one other. So, after spending thousands of dollars over the years at this location, to be treated like I'm an unnecessary intrusion is more than a little insulting. What makes this so tragic is that there is an incredible person named Paul working there as well, and he's so kind and efficient that he's a utter marvel. However, with the two jobsworths, the contrast between the different levels of service is the equivalent of a beautiful Meissen plate stacked with a badly spoiled meat sandwich. If you're a commuter, or visitor, I would not recommend this store until they sort out their employee issues.
