Great ambiance and cocktail. Highly recommended. Came here because it's raining and it turned out to be one of the most pleasant surprises in Vancouver.

I wanted to hit the Brewery in the area, but it as of writing this is closed for renovations (maybe next time). Liberty Distillery to the Rescue! came in here and at the strapping chap bartender recommended the Gin flight - we were off. The old Tom was by far my favorite - My buddy's as well. Smooth like it should be with slight blossomy, berry hints in the after taste. So good, I got a bottle to go. The Endeavor Pink had a little more kick but really good, I mean they all were. I definitely recommend being a Gin enjoyer. I was sort of geared up to go whiskey, but again, following the bartender's recommendation was a nice call. Liberty Distillery itself has an old cabin feel in its setting. There is a modest amount of seating - a few tables and counter seating, so you may have to share communally at one of the tables on a busy day. There is a lot of merch to purchase, perfect if you want some Liberty Distillery apparel or gifts alongside picking up a bottle or two. A great stop if you're venturing around Granville Island. Would love to return here.

A corner shop situated in Granville area. Predominantly Whiskey drinks. We had a Whiskey Sour. It was around $17.50 CAD, with taxes. It was a great drink. There were tables and stools all around the place. It was a chill and cool spot to sit and drink. They didn't have any food, just drinks, snacks like peanuts and a charcuterie board type snack. Not bad and I enjoyed it.

The vibes are perfect!! Cute date night spot for when you're in Granville Island. I came here an hour before closing and was worried they wouldn't let my boyfriend and I in but the staff was so friendly and let us in. I had the whiskey or gin flight ( to be honest I don't fully remember because I got drunk) and my boyfriend had a Moscow Mule which was so good! Beware, the flight is so strong! Like 40% and up and I lost it at the end but still such a good time!

I'm not at Liberty to say how good our cocktails were... Well, I'm not *currently* at Liberty, anyway: I'm at home, writing this review...but I *can* tell you that they were excellent, crafted by skilled hands using some truly spirited spirits, all of which were distilled here on Granville Island. I can also tell you that I'd come here again, order more, and even take home a few bottles, if it wasn't such a hassle to get them across the border through customs. Instead, I intend to hunt down their Trust Whiskey at a liquor store back home, because its just right for me: smooth, strong, and complex. Sure, the experience of sipping it straight back home won't be the same without the rustic, industrial vibe of their tasting room, but...after knocking back a few, I'm sure I won't mind very much.

Quite possibly the best value cocktail bar in Vancouver. I've been shopping here for years for supplies, but never actually had a drink until May 2023. I was absolutely blown away. I'm pretty sure I wrote a Yelp review extolling the fantastic staff & cocktails, but it seems to have disappeared. Anyhoo, I enjoyed their cocktails immensely. I finally managed to drag my hubby here during the August long weekend and it was still amazing. He was also blown away by the quality of the cocktails, the service and ambiance. He bought two bottles of their whiskey to take home.

What a gem of a spot in Granville. Jake, our distiller was full of helpful information and added to the flare of this splendid spot. We were a fan of the whiskey and loved the full explanation given by Jake and info cards. I highly recommend this experience for those who love a well made vodka, whiskey or gin!

Stopped here for a shot before shopping. They have so many different flavoured Gins to choose from. We had a double The Pink Fizz Double Endeavour Old Tom Both were very taste so much so we bought a bottle to take home with us. Really enjoyed the atmosphere.

Very cool, chill, classy bar you should visit when you are exploring Granville Island. When I saw there was a distillery on Granville Island before I made my trip here I made the plan to be sure to stop by. As opposed to breweries I have not seen many and thus have not been to many distilleries so I was excited to come here especially since I do drink gin. When you walk in you will right away notice a warm, classy & very chill vibe inside. It's not that big and there are just a few tables (communal) and countertop seats. This is not your raging busy bar and I like that about this place. I found myself a seat and then made my way to the bar where I placed an order for the Gin Flight as well as the New York Sour (no longer on the menu but I previously saw Yelp photos of it). The bartender was accommodating and said he'd bring the drinks to the table. Unless I'm mistaken, there were no seats at the actual bar which is interesting especially since I probably would have just sat at the bar. It was fun tasting my way through the gin flight trying to discern the differences. In the end, I made a gin & tonic. The New York Sour is a very nice-looking drink and made well all the same. I'm not a whisky drinker but it had a good balance with the alcohol, sweet and sour flavor. I can see people getting this drink just because of its visual appeal. The place offers their spirits as well as merch for sale and from I can see it's not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive I've seen. Gotta pay for quality, right!? It's right near the Granville Public Market, and you should be able to find parking in one of the nearby lots, there is one right across the street from here. Also, I believe that after 6pm, parking is free, so that's good. I can definitely see myself coming back to try out some more of their spirits and cocktails since they are putting thought and effort into them all. Cheers!

The New York Sour, which tastes as good as it looks. Great place; review coming soon!

What more can I say: delicious cocktails made by exceptional, friendly bartenders! OK, I can say a couple more things, now that we have the essentials covered. I did go here twice on my recent Vancouver visit; you'll get a different experience if you're there on a sunny summer Sunday afternoon as opposed to a regular'ol Tuesday afternoon. Distillery appears to require that you're seated to be served, which seems to be a hangover from the COVID days, and which is difficult when you're by yourself and need to be simultaneously guarding a chair but also ordering at the bar. Also, people bring kids in there, who require seats. C'mon, it's a distillery and a bar... don't they have a chuck-e-cheeze somewhere around there, or charlamagne-du-fromage, or whatever kid parking lots are called there. No kids were there on the Tuesday, nor that many people at all, so the bartender had more time to talk and explain what they make, as well as explain a lil' more Granville Island to me. The room is old-timey pretty, and even if you don't sign up for a tour, you can still view the tanks and piping and whatnot while on your way to the restroom, or bathroom, or warshroom, or whatever the nice folks up north call it. As Granville Island is a likely stop on your Vancouver adventures, having a drink here is definitely a part of that!

Always wanted to stop in here and it didn't disappoint. Good Vesper martini and Espresso martini. The Old Fashioned was the BOMB. Helpful and attentive staff. We'll be back!

This place is a distillery but has a bit a cross-up as a craft cocktail bar as well! Order at the counter (you can opt to leave your bill open). We started with cocktails first - the Whiskey Apple and the New York Sour. Both were solid cocktails, but a whiskey flight was calling. Since we were travelling, I was not super interested in getting any bottled spirits, but if I lived locally, I would take a bottle or two home. We also had the pretzel (twice), which was super hot and very good. Overall, this place is worth checking out if you are on Granville Island. A quick search and you can find it.

At the end of October when I went, they're only open Friday and Saturday afternoons. Our experience there was super chill. We rang the door and someone let us in. I forgot his name, but he was one of the brothers behind the operation. He then introduced us to their liquors and we picked which ones we wanted to try. We tried a variety of liquors, including their vodka, ginger and honey, coffee, scotch, apple brandy, and kartoffelschnaps. Our favorite was the vodka, as it's one of the smoothest vodka's I've ever tried. The coffee liquor was also very good if you're a coffee drinker, but I personally am not a huge fan of the coffee taste. We bought a bottle of the vodka, scotch, and ginger and honey liquor away with us. Prices were reasonable. For example, a 750 ml bottle of vodka was $35. You can also take a couple steps into their distillery space. We went in to take a look and also was given a high level introduction to their distilling process.

They've got the international awards to prove it. 2010 Double Gold and Spirit of the Year in the recent World Spirit Awards. The distillery tour is well worth the $6 as you get a personal view of where all the potato magic happens. Tyler and Lorien are gracious hosts and are full of boozy knowledge. Oh, and of course there's a healthy sized tasting post-tour at the bar with your very own Schramm's glass. The word on the Pemberton street is that Tyler is concocting a small batch of Organic Single Malt Whisky this summer. But unfortunately, we will have to wait a few more years to sample this barrel of local gold. Damn you Oak Casks!

We came here for a Winnie the Pooh Afternoon Tea. Oh my goodness...it far exceeded my expectations!…read moreHats off to the kitchen staff for coming up with such a creative and whimsical afternoon tea. First thing that caught my eye was the cover of the afternoon tea menu. It was red with a picture of Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin printed upon it in a shiny gold colour. When flipped over, it had the menu for the afternoon tea printed upon it. I was super impressed that they even had a separate menu printed for Vegetarians. (I opted for a Vegetarian menu). There was a cute little ceramic jar that was shaped like a Honey pot, and it had sugar cubes in it! Then there was this booklet that was pages long, and divided into Chapters. It was basically the menu again, but in the form of a small book. Each Chapter of the book described different foods from the afternoon tea. The last chapter listed all the different tea flavors one could choose. When we sat down and read this menu, I heard more than one person at the table say that they wanted to take this menu home. Guess what? For the price of $25, one could take this menu home as a memento of this extraordinary afternoon tea? Maybe I'm a bit of a sucker, but how often does one get to go to an afternoon tea as special as this? And I've always been a huge fan of Winnie the Pooh. So I coughed up the $25 and brought one of these menus home with us! Food was sooo good. I loved how warm the scone was when I cut it open. This was one of my favourite items. The sandwiches were amongst my favourites as well. As phenomenal as the experience was, I do think there are a few things which could have improved the experience. For one, a bit more service would have been appreciated. I had to wave my hand in the air to get our server's attention so that I could ask her to refill our tea pots with more hot water. Would have been nice if she'd just come around a bit more often and offered to top it up for us. Tea cozies on our tea pots might have been another improvement. A lot of my tea cooled down by the time I got to it. I like my tea hot but I didn't get in very many cups of hot tea as there was a lot of food to eat and by the time I was ready to pour myself some tea to wash down my food, the tea was...not so hot anymore. Oh, and while most of the food was appropriately sized, there was this one chocolate cookie sandwich that was really gigantic and suggested to be eaten last. We were so full already from all the other foods in the afternoon tea, and then to squeeze that giant cookie sandwich in...right at the end? A smaller and daintier cookie sandwich would have been preferred. It was overall a truly phenomenal experience. Yes, I do think it could have been slightly better, but I do emphasize the word "slightly". The points lost were so minor...I would still highly recommend this afternoon tea to anyone. It was well worth the money. It's offered every weekend for now but not sure how long they'll keep this around so if you're interested in a Winnie the Pooh themed afternoon tea, I'd make a reservation for it ASAP!

The setting is cosy and relaxed atmosphere. Staff was lovely and we were not rushed. Unfortunately they require full payment at the time of booking including a tip % automatically applied. I find this quite distasteful. It is one thing to pay a deposit to secure our spot ....but asking for the tip for a service yet to be provided is terrible. My friend really wanted to go and therefore I agreed to it this one time but I would never do it again.
