If you don't have time to read this review and are looking for a restoration company, do not use…read morethis company! It is only fair to say that when our home had a septic flood Paul Davis were quick to respond and take care of the demolition work and drying that was required. After that they were absolutely awful. 1) Paul Davis employees are trained very well to never say no to you on the phone but completely fail to call you back or provide any information that you are looking for. We have logs of almost daily calls for up to 3 months trying to get work done on our home and PD continued to fob us off. 2) Restoration work completed by Paul Davis, is not completed by Red Seal tradespeople. They use their technicians for plumbing and electrical work. We sourced, hired and paid for our own trades and had to force PD to pay us back. 3) Work completed by contractors ours or there was generally good. However work completed by PD has left our home with significant deficiencies, including 2 doors that were hung incorrectly, unfinished baseboards and trim and concerns about unsealed walls in locations where rodents can enter. 4) Paul Davis were unable to the appropriate Project Management, we sourced a Red Seal Plumber and Electrician and we project managed the installation of our kitchen, flooring and gas fireplace. All of which they took their % cut from. 5) Paul Davis did not pay contractors within an agreed timeframe which in two cases left us having to pay the flooring and plumbing initially out of pocket and deal with numerous phone calls from another small business who were owed over $6000 for almost 6 months. 6) Paul Davis significantly delayed us in returning to our home (we believe by at least 5/6 weeks) by delaying work getting booked and completed all the while coming up with silly excuses as to why it couldn't get done. 7) Pail Davis did not clean our furniture or reusable items, many pieces returned to us still had faces remnant of the septic water left on them. Also, they damaged some items. Finally... as I scroll through the reviews here, I see an awful lot of 5 star reviews from people who I spoke to who work for Paul Davis. We had a horrible thing happen to our family and PD made it worse and worse as the time progressed! Please avoid at all costs!

Although I needed a minor service as far as mold remediation goes, I couldn't be happier with the…read moreservice I received. I'd moved out of a moldy home that had made me very allergic to the stuff, but I wanted to see if there was any way to save two very nice pieces of furniture before I had to dump them. I called up Masters and spoke with Rachel who was very helpful in getting in touch with their "field guy" Dion. Dion was able to come over and ease my fears about what the mold spores may be doing on my pieces of furniture now (in this case thankfully not growing!) and what route of cleanup to go with. One very thorough cleaning later, I've got my furniture back! I don't get my allergic reactions around them any more. The only downside was the service was expensive, but Dion was very up front with me about the cost. There was no hidden fees or anything. In my opinion this was very much worth it since the cost of replacing both pieces of furniture would have been much, much higher! Needless to say if I need any more services related to mold or home inspection I know who I'm calling.

They refused to…read moretake responsibility, even though I had a flooring expert (he taught wood floor installation all around the world) come in at a inspection cost of nearly $700.00 to verify that the floor was installed incorrectly by Masters Remediation Services. I took the company to court, and won the case. Dion Dunbar didn't bother to attend. It cost me personally $9,000.00 to have that floor replaced and they will not respond to any of my requests to see them. This is not the only shoddy work they did on my "restoration" Masters Remediation Services needs to return the $9000.00 it cost me to remove the floor they installed incorrectly. NO ATTEMPT to help me.

These guys are friendly and professional and offer premium services. But, let me just preface my…read morecomments with the fact that I was grumpy with them for the past six months because everything took longer and cost much more than I expected. However, this was the first time I had dealt with such a situation (bathroom flooded and seeped to the rest of the condo and the floors needed to be redone). I didn't realize there were three different areas of work that needed to be done: mitigation and cleaning, deconstruction, and reconstruction. I thought "mitigation and cleaning" was the sum total of what needed to be done and inclusive of everything. I had no understanding that there were three phases. It could be that someone in the company tried to explain it to me, I don't know. I was dealing with too much at the time (health concerns, a mother with health concerns, moving, etc.) and nothing was going right and it made me really grumpy thinking about how much money was going toward this project and how long it was taking. However, the Cleaner Guys continued to be professional and polite throughout the experience. Once they were done with the flooring and repairs I was very, very happy. They did a fantastic job not only with the flooring, but also with repairs, repainting, replacing, etc., and the condo almost feels like a brand new home. I am very happy with the work that they did. Just remember that it will cost more and take longer than you expect it to. It's not going to be a sprint. It's going to be a marathon.

Unfortunately, once new tenants moved in and began using the space, we discovered that the bedroom outlets were no longer functioning. When I contacted the owner to ask if a wire might have been accidentally disconnected during the attic work, he refused to come by to inspect the situation. He argued that I should have reported the issue within two weeks, despite the fact that the unit was vacant and only recently occupied. Rather than offering to troubleshoot or verify their work, the owner was argumentative and dismissed the concern entirely. He also claimed I have no proof his team caused the damage and told me I would need to hire an electrician to prove it. I am disappointed in the lack of accountability and professional courtesy, and I would suggest looking elsewhere for a contractor who stands behind their labor.
