In my opinion it is better than most of the chains and hey, I was a Pizza Hut kid so I totally know what I'm talking about! I'm here to tell you that you cannot go past the Ham & Mushroom - add some red capsicum to that and you have one happy pizza. The pan sizing is pretty big too, you can get a large, family or party size, and I don't know about you guys but I prefer a generous, fluffy base rather than a thin pan: I want a pizza, not a biscuit, which is exactly what their lovely staff deliver! Dining in isn't a big occasion here, the space isn't really designed for families larger than four so it's lucky that takeaway is an option. The locals tend to refer to this place as 'Aldgate Pizza' rather than 'Aldgate Cafe'. in fact its only recently that I even discovered its true name, so if you are wanting to place and order abut you don't have the number - don't be like me and get into an argument with the person on the other end of the directory line when they tell you that Aldgate Pizza doesn't exist! because it is foremost a cafe, they just happen to make awesome pizza.

So filling, and so so SSOOO tasty! I don't normally leave leftovers, but I had no choice. And it was still tasty the next day (feel free to hit me up for my leftover pizza reheating technique - guaranteed flavour country). The range of available styles is great, and the service was quick, for both delivery and in-store ordering. Don't miss this place if you're in or around the hills. The garlic bread was average though and as much as it tasted great, I was hoping that the pizza would be a bit hotter and less soggy. The Wedge was a stand out pizza (wedges on a pizza with sour cream and sweet chilli, yum!!) but I certainly loved the mix and pumpkin on the Peppers Special. The Yiros pizza was fresh and a great different kind of pizza that I enjoyed trying. Mushrooms on the tandoori chicken were a little dry and the chicken was a bit minimal but it was still much nicer than some of the greasy less flavor some pizza store alternatives. It was also made relatively quickly too with a waiting time estimated of 15-20 mins (it took 24 but that is still good). I managed to get there when it wasn't busy though and on a weeknight, so keep that in mind. Staff were somewhat friendly too and threw in an extra garlic bread with our order. Glad I tried it and I probably would go back there. It may not be my favorite pizza store but it has topped itself as being 2nd favorite and that (in my books) is quite an accomplishment.

The pizzas are also delicious and can be made vegan (vegetarian with no cheese). Unlike many other pizza places, they are quite heavy on the toppings! With the delivery charge everything seemed a bit pricey, however, the margherita pizza was delicious - just the right combination of italian herbs, toppings, and sauce. The crust was not too thin nor thick and it was still hot. The customer service was also fantastic as they admitted their mistake and made sure we got our correct order without letting any part of our order go cold.
