Instead this is our usual stop if we're getting fish and chips or takeaway. It's got the feel of your regular greasy take away joint, but once you actually tuck into the food it's really not greasy and gross. Instead we always get good food from here, you just wouldn't want to eat it every night for tea. Their chips are large, but they're also all still crispy. I'll usually choose a burger with the lot with chips, it's big and filling but also really tasty. There's no seating in store, everything is takeaway, but it thankfully stays hot on the car ride home.

Pretty typical, actually! This HJs is pretty much like every other I've been to - lots of staff, but there seems to be a distinct lack of organisation, and everything is pretty sloppy. Brekkie is pretty good (but don't ask for soy milk in your coffee!), and just what you expect for the cheap price. This isn't a place I'd go out of my way to visit, but it is great that it is here - they probably get a lot of overflow from their competitor across the road ;) My tip: if you go through the drive-through, make sure you check your order before you drive off - it's frequently incorrect! I was craving a burger when I kept seeing pop's diner on the Netflix show Riverdale and was reminiscing and thought I'd look one up on yelp and was expecting an Aussie version of a burger.
