    Belmar Beach

I have frequented the beaches around Belmar, but never actually have been to Belmar Beach. So, for my first beach foray of the season, I decided to try something new and check out Belmar. The beach was well maintained, the attendants were nice and the bathrooms were very clean. Along Beach Avenue there were a few restaurants, a convenience store and Dunkin' Donuts. It is also popular surfing beach and I saw at least 6 surfers on the day I went. The price for a season pass seems like a great deal for someone that plans on visiting the beach often. 2017 Beach Prices $8 day pass $55 season pass $15 season pass seniors $15 season pass disabled

woo hooo!! Best beach in the area! I don't come to the beach often but when I do, it's Belmar. Parking: Metered or street parking. Both gets really full on the weekend. Beach Tag: Required. $9 or you can purchase one for th w season. Booth I am familiar with is the one at 3rd Ave. There are others. Check the website. Rentals: You can rent umbrella, chairs and others beach necessities all for a reasonable price. Umbrella is $15. I believe the chairs were $9. Beach: Very clean. The water does not have a bunch of seaweed!! The sand is easy on the feet too. The seagulls aren't intrusive. The bathrooms are clean. The people are respectful. There are some cafes along the boardwalk and they even have a little playground for children. Overall this is one of the best beaches. Pack your beach bags and head over, up or down to. Enjoy

Just went here for a winter time stroll. If it's more than 45 degrees and sunny, this is still a pleasant place to spend an hour (as long as you keep moving).

A nice walking mat makes getting to the beach a breeze and you don't burn your feet!

Where have you been all my life?! I'm not sure why it took me 33 years as a NJ native to find Belmar beach. This place is awesome. Clean, family friendly, & a boardwalk. There is a fee to get in as with all jersey shores requires a beachtag, but that covers lifeguards and such. My family and I had a magnificent time at this beach and I can't wait to return!

Love it here. You have to go super early to get good parking. The beach is clean and the new boardwalk is beautiful. Clean bathrooms. It's only $7 to get on the beach, which is great. There's a nice playground for the kids as well.

Close to pizza & a restaurant bar! Boardwalk Bathrooms are kept clean on a regular basis. This is Mark's beach - give him a hello as you enter the beach. A word of caution - don't let the beach Patrol catch you consuming Alcohol the penalty is steep.

    Pleasantly not crowded!

I do suggest getting here early because the parking spots by the boardwalk go quick.

Can't complain about that! There's plenty of street parking right in front of the boardwalk as well as residential parking nearby. Since I visited after the summer season ended, I had no problem finding a spot at 12pm. If you're going during the season, I would suggest coming much earlier if you want to get a good spot closer to the beach. During the summer season (Memorial Day through Labor Day), beach badges are required from 9am-5pm on weekdays and 9am-5:30pm on weekends/holidays. It's $13 per person. Children ages 11 and under + active military and their dependents are free of charge. They don't accept credit/debit cards, so remember to bring CASH. The beach is beautiful - clear, blue water and clean, soft sand. The crowd is more mature and family-oriented. They do have a lot of rules (no alcohol/smoking/cannabis/canopies/tents/sound systems), but I don't mind. It's not rowdy here, so you'll have a peaceful experience. There are bathrooms, a playground area for children, and a boardwalk. The boardwalk is small, but charming. There are benches for you to sit, relax, and enjoy the ocean view. There aren't many restaurants, bars, games, or entertainment around. They have a snack/food pavilion, but I'd suggest driving a few miles away to Asbury Park or Long Branch for a better dining and night life scene. Seeeeee yaaaaaaaa at the shore!

Don't come here expecting to walk to a bunch of restaurants or bars -- it's more of a bring your own vibes kind of place. But they do have a snack shack, bathrooms, and the beach itself is really clean with clear water. Daily entry is $13, and there's lots of street parking, which is rare and amazing for beach towns. If you just want to chill, read, and enjoy the ocean without the crowds, this is the spot

I am not religious and still had an amazing time and never felt like I had to adhere to the town's beliefs or that they were pushed onto me. During the summer there are some faith-based camps and activities running, but I much preferred this to drunk young adults and teenagers that other beaches have! The beach is gorgeous and all the workers were kind. The town is quaint and filled with history. The architecture is stunning and builds a cozy atmosphere that you will never want to leave. The highlight of my trip was biking around the town (no biking on the boardwalk during the summer) and taking in the sights and the sea. The bathrooms are clean and stocked, parking is free. The beach has it's own little snack stand that serves drinks, coffee, lunches, acai bowls! You don't feel the lack of a bustling boardwalk since main street is lined with shops and the snack stand can fulfill all your needs while on the beach. If you are looking for a relaxing Jersey Shore experience, Ocean Grove is the spot for sure.

There's a specific tented area with benches on the boardwalk where Christian services are held multiple times a day. You'll also find people on the boardwalk handing out tracts. If that's not your thing, just keep walking--they don't pressure you, and once you're actually on the beach, it all fades into the background. What really stood out to me was how pleasant and peaceful everything felt. Parking is free with lots of street parking available, and you can get from your car to the sand in seconds--which is a huge plus. The scenery is beautiful, bathrooms are clean, and there are food trucks around for when you get hungry. We forgot our umbrella one day and ended up renting one. It was super easy--$16, and you can pay with cash. They let you keep it until 4:45 pm and even come around to collect it for you. Chairs are also available to rent. For beach entry, however, it's cash-free--you scan the QR code and pay online. Overall, I loved the atmosphere here. Everything felt calm, well-kept, and welcoming. I can't wait to return--definitely one of the most peaceful beach experiences I've had.
