This was on a Sunday, the day before the Memorial Day holiday and I was surprised they were open. I spoke with Rodney Conner who seemed happy to help with a great, professional, and friendly attitude. He quickly determined the battery was indeed bad and showed me the results. He gave me multiple options for a replacement and offered to install it. Within a few minutes he had the job done, then offered to check my alternator to ease my mind when I said I was glad it wasn't the alternator. All was good at that point. Before I left, he asked if there was anything more he could do for us and was kind enough to discuss his training with me after I asked about his mechanical background. Surprisingly, he had years of professional training at a renowned school plus many years of personal experience having been raised on a large farm, one that I was familiar with. Couldn't have asked for a more knowledgeable, professional, and decent person. Having been raised in a family who owned a large garage, I'm normally a bit more critical of mechanics in general; but, I had absolutely NOTHING to be concerned about. Thank you Rodney and thank you Advance Auto for staffing your store with people who possess superior mechanical knowledge. I'll never shop elsewhere.

Later I went for them to check my battery, they checked it for free and I bought a new battery that they installed very quickly. The lady that changed the battery was also very nice and patient when I was deciding which battery to buy and she explained all the different options.

I don't understand how he "lost their confidence" considering how many businesses refuse to deal with anyone else but him. I would not be surprised if this store fails and ends up being closed down. The majority of their business is through commercial and now that their star commercial manager is now gone, they will most likely lose all their business.
