This was on a Sunday, the day before the Memorial Day holiday and I was surprised they were open. I spoke with Rodney Conner who seemed happy to help with a great, professional, and friendly attitude. He quickly determined the battery was indeed bad and showed me the results. He gave me multiple options for a replacement and offered to install it. Within a few minutes he had the job done, then offered to check my alternator to ease my mind when I said I was glad it wasn't the alternator. All was good at that point. Before I left, he asked if there was anything more he could do for us and was kind enough to discuss his training with me after I asked about his mechanical background. Surprisingly, he had years of professional training at a renowned school plus many years of personal experience having been raised on a large farm, one that I was familiar with. Couldn't have asked for a more knowledgeable, professional, and decent person. Having been raised in a family who owned a large garage, I'm normally a bit more critical of mechanics in general; but, I had absolutely NOTHING to be concerned about. Thank you Rodney and thank you Advance Auto for staffing your store with people who possess superior mechanical knowledge. I'll never shop elsewhere.

Well when I told them event was Sunday when I booked. you would think the lady would have clarified things and not still said it will be delivered 1 day before event because to me, that meant Saturday! So much miscommunication & lack of communication on their end and then they weren't even willing to give me half a refund when it was never even delivered- again I called 2 days before the event. Jeremy refused to tow my vehicle back home (blamed his boss) and left me stranded in the dark and alone with my inoperable vehicle. Before Jeremy left he told me to "please lock your doors, this is not a safe area". I then had to call AAA to use my last tow for the year just to get home and my vehicle still is not being repaired at a shop. I had to file a dispute with AAA to hopefully get my tow back.

Was told I could finance through Woodsfield Savings with a no fee, no prepayment penalty loan…read more When I paid off early I found out that they had snuck $315 in fees on the loan. $275 was for prepaid interest and another $40 for insurance. I should have caught the $40 as it was listed in the total amount financed, but the $275 was not. I made the mistake of rushing through the paperwork as it was close to closing time and I trusted what I was told from what I thought was a trustworthy local business. When we called to ask about the fee they said it was an application fee charged by the bank. Very deceptive. If I had been told about these fees when I asked I would not have wasted my time and money on Woodsfield Savings loan.

I called Starrs auto and after a day or so finally talked to someone and explained that it would not pass inspection due to some issues and since I have a 30 warrenty I should be covered. He said no it was only engine and transmission issues.. That these repairs are on me.. Thanks.. Just dropped 9,500 on this car and now about 300 more in repairs to get it road worthy..
