All the staffs are so loving and caring special mention to Ms. Smita,Ms. Waafa,Ms.Aari,Ms.Thomas, Ms.Nancy,Ms.Chris,Ms.Reni,Ms. Allyson. We had to relocate to sandiego 2 days ago but my kid keeps saying about her classroom friends and teachers 24×7 and says wants to go back to MCA after she comes from school she would enact and play her classroom scenarios with her soft toys as her friends, herself and me as Ms.Smita and Ms.Waafa. She loves her classmates and Ms.Smita and Ms.Waafa as they do so. Even I am so addicted to talk and play with my kid about her classroom. The best thing happened in her life is being a MCA student, I wish I had known about this place earlier and enrolled her from toddler program itself as they're in practice for more than 15yrs. We had to relocate otherwise she would be still going to Ms.Smita's classroom at MCA. My kid loves the place and the gift letters given to her from her friends and school. Ms.Smita has so much positivity and ever smiling face which influences the kids that even I take her as an example on this is how I need to be with my kid. Their education methodology is the best around Detroit as my kid was attending couple of daycares around until she was 3, I can compare her learning and behavioral development after going to MCA. Most importantly teaching is based on montessori methodology through activities taught to kids with love and care. She's eating even rice by herself now thanks to Ms. Smita,Ms. Waafa and Ms. Nancy. Thanks to Ms. Aari for teaching spanish and engaging the kids with the exercise song and dance moves. My kid perfectly teaches us that since beginning. She recently started full-time just for 3 weeks before our move and enjoyed time with Ms. Chris arts and crafts classes. Overall MCA is the best thing happened to my kid and us in Detroit and Ms.Smita's classroom is the only thing we miss now. They keep an open communication line between the parents, teachers, and themselves; making it easy to feel confident and comfortable with leaving our little boy in their care. It took a long time to write this review, but it's important to share our experience. We had to…read morepull our children from Gateway last year due to lack of communication, parent involvement and most damaging, the amount of trauma and shame my older child would come home with. I know there's always going to be "bad" reviews for every daycare you research, but please reconsider this place if you have a highly-sensitive, strong-willed or neurodivergent child. You will receive incident reports everyday for things like your child saying "poop," running in the halls or being loud. Even if the incidents are more serious, the only communication you will have is a shameful note and no chance to repair or work on what's going on. My husband and I would have to practically beg for a meeting or a chance to talk with the director. We were never allowed to talk with my child's direct teachers. There is no sense of teamwork to help your child succeed. Now that my child is older and thriving in Kindergarten he is finally opening up about Gateway and what it was like. His stories make me want to cry. He would cry everyday going to Gateway and I tried my best to keep a positive mindset, but knew there was something more to his behavior. Now, he wakes up and enjoys going to school. There are some wonderful teachers there, but they're stuck under the hard-pressed thumb of management. My only regret is not pulling my children sooner.

The teachers are so gentle with the children . Such a loving place . I will say children are treated good here , strict on staff so rules will not be broken at this center and I love this. It's a safe place for children here . I trust the staff with my child here and I have seen the postive impact the center has made on my daughter and myself, they really pure their soul into the children and staff. They do treat the kids well and I see staff that really love and adore the kids so that is important .
