We went for trivia which was very fun and there were a ton of people there. Bar staff was great and food was very good.

Dear Applebee's Management,…read more I visited your restaurant recently, and while I was initially greeted politely by the host and found the restroom to be clean, my overall experience was very disappointing. I chose to sit at the bar and waited about 5-8 minutes before being acknowledged. During that time, I noticed balled-up paper on the floor behind the bar and that much of the bar top appeared unclean. Two other guests were also expressing frustration that the bartender had only come by once and that one of their desserts was served cold. When the bartender finally approached, she provided me with a menu and took my drink order. However, after preparing my drink and setting it down, I saw a small roach crawling on the glass. I immediately informed the bartender and decided to leave the restaurant. This was, unfortunately, the most unsanitary Applebee's I have ever visited. I hope management takes this feedback seriously to ensure that cleanliness and service standards are improved.

I'm by far the least picky when it comes to food nor leaving reviews even at a sub par restaurant…read more But this one got me. I ordered the artichoke dip, came out cold. It came back out after sitting in the microwave now burnt to a crisp forming in the edges. I ordered the butter garlic chicken and shrimp. It tasted like the kitchen staff just dumped a jar of garlic powder on it and burnt to a crispy topping. Spaking of the kitchen staff I understand why it tastes like it does, all I hear is a kitchen full of people yelling and cussing each other to the point we can hear it in the restaurant. Probably the worst meal and experience I've had in a while at any restaurant.

Wow - I was not expecting this. If you are in Danville, Va and are hungry/looking for something to…read moredo in a relaxed atmosphere this is your place. The "hot chicken" sandwich is amazing. You can get it either fried or grilled and the sauce is mind blowing. Not to mention that can play games or use the golf simulators. This place is set back in a more industrial setting. If you are flying in to the airport, its about 5-8 minutes away. Staff is friendly and not busy during the weekdays. An amazing place to hang out, have a drink and grab some food.

Came in on a Tuesday night with my best friend for the $5 burger deal, which is a solid start. Just…read moreknow you are getting their standard burger with lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, and fries. Simple and classic. We both made a few tweaks. She skipped the onions, added ketchup and mustard, and got a side salad. I kept mine simple with no ketchup or mustard. Food came out fast. Appetizer and burgers hit the table in just over five minutes, which was impressive. The burgers were good. Not over the top, but juicy and worth the price. The only miss was the bun. It was cold and could have used a quick toast or at least some heat. The house salad was fresh with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, cheese, and croutons. I tried to swap my fries for sweet potato fries and ended up getting both, so no complaints there. Just know the sweet potato fries count as extra. Fries came out hot and stayed hot. The sweet potato fries had a nice balance, not soggy, not too hard. The corn fritters were the standout. Crispy on the outside, soft and sweet inside. Service from Amber or Shannon was great. Attentive, friendly, and helpful. The only slowdown came at the end. It took longer to get the check than it did to receive the food. The space is in a reclaimed industrial building with exposed brick and high ceilings. Very large and open with plenty of room for groups and events. There is a main dining area, a busy bar, and a separate section with bowling lanes. The crowd was mixed. Families, couples, groups, people at the bar, even a few on laptops. Plenty of TVs and music, but it stays at a manageable level. Accessibility is decent with a lift available. Parking is nearby street or lot parking. Overall, a fun, casual place with strong value, especially on Tuesday nights. Must order: Corn fritters Heads up: Buns may come out cold and sweet potato fries are an extra

First visit to this location. Much better experience here…read more I was politely and quickly seated and greeted by my server. I liked that they have a lunch menu, which includes a sandwich, side, and non alcoholic beverage for $10. My choice was the ECU smash burger, which included two patties, chili, slaw, and mustard. Side was the Cajun dusted fries, and a sweet tea. While waiting, I noticed two local things - the stage for the ECU Pirate Radio show, which airs live at this location on Mondays, and just a few tables away from me WNCT's Sportscaster legend Brian Bailey! The wait wasn't long, and the burger was delicious. I enjoyed the fries and dipping them in ranch sauce. Very pleasant experience.

My wife and I like to venture out for a Bloody Mary on weekends. We went to Tie Breakers yesterday…read more The bloodies were only vodka and Zing Zang. No olives, celery salt, worcestershire, horse radish or celery stick. Probably with worst bloodies I've had in many years. We both had the chicken tender basket. They came way over done. The cook or bartender never should have brought them to us. It was obvious they were burnt. On a positive note, the bar tender was efficient and friendly. We've owned bars/restaurants so we understand bartenders are only as good as their training. Also, it's customary to have a beer chaser with the bloody, but we were told that is not allowed. OK, that's cool but many people around us were drinking a shot and a beer at the same time. What is up with that? They did remove one of our burnt chicken tender bakset from our bill
