Casa Mia's is a nice eatery in the Littleton area if you're in need of a cheesesteak. This restaurant has been around since I was a child and they still offer the same yummy foods. The interior is pretty outdated and it could use an update, but the food still tastes the same after all these years. Our server on the visit was a nice elder lady who helped out in the kitchen and on the floor. My husband and I visited with a group of people. Everyone enjoyed their food. We ordered two cheesesteaks, chicken tenders and fries. Our food was good. This restaurant would have received a 5 star but when we were checking out. An employee (a women) walked in from outside from who knows where and started fixing orders without washing her hands. I don't know if this women had been in the back the entire time, but she by passed the sink and started touching peoples food. Thats disgusting and it could get someone sick. We usually order pizza and have had their calzones. The pizza with the thick crust is my favorite. It is not thin and greasy like another local pizza restaurant. Absolutely no one working in this establishment wears a mask while cooking and serving food. I asked why to the manager and he said because they are fully vaccinated. You can still catch Covid if you are vaccinated and you can still spread it to the public and to your customers. This is why we are still dealing with this pandemic. The food here has fallen off anyway. I will just drive to Roanoke Rapids to get better service and won't have to be so afraid of catching Covid from the staff. read more

Tried it again in order to support the local economy. We chose an order to go and chose the stuffed shells dinner. The sauce was so salty I couldn't eat and the garlic bread was stale. I was visiting in town with my boyfriend and his family. My boyfriends uncle frequents the place and recommended the eggplant parmesan, and it was such a great choice!!! My guy got the chicken cacciatore, uncle got the spaghetti with meat sauce, aunt got the spaghetti with red clam sauce, and my boyfriend's mom also got the eggplant parmesan with ziti!!! Everyone's dish came with a salad/crackers and garlic bread. The eggplant was breaded enough to where it wasn't overbearing and it was perfect with a mozzarella melt on top! Full of flavor and the service was awesome! I didn't get a picture of all the food mostly because I was excited to dig in. Our server was the only one in the restaurant and she maintained such pleasant and lovely service with everyone in the restaurant!! I've worked in a small mom and pop restaurant with having a full house and restaurant to myself and it can be difficult but she didn't seem flustered at all, she was on top of everything! Kudos to her! Friendly staff. If you're looking for amazing, authentic Italian food in this little town, COME HERE! Even ordering take-out is just as great! It's a small little restaurant and if you don't care about aesthetic, then I definitely recommend. We just moved to Littleton (Lake Gaston), from Raleigh NC. On our first visit to Casa Mia we ordered the supreme steak and cheese all agreed they were awesome. If you're looking for hoyty toyty probably not your spot (or lake for that matter). We had heard about this Sicilian Pizza with garlic and tomatoes although not on the menu I called about it, they have always been very nice and seemed happy for my business. The order taker didn't quite understand and in just a few moments I had this gentleman on the phone.. He said sure we make it but it's gonna take an hour & 15 mins (which actually about the time I'm used to in say New York or Chicago). This man seemed very proud of what he had created. The dining options in the Littleton/Lake Gaston area are pretty limited. Thankfully, you can find solid pizza at Casa Mia in downtown Littleton. Located in an old section of the downtown area, it looks pretty run down from the exterior. Unfortunately, the interior is much the same. Worn indoor/outdoor carpeting and mis-matched kitchen furniture sets the tone. It is definitely a locals kind of place. Fortunately, The staff is helpful, friendly and eager to please. The pizza is excellent New York style pizza. The crust is always cooked perfectly. The sauce has just the right hint of sweetness and they don't skimp on the toppings. We're in a RV park nearby & wanted pizza. Casa Mia's pizza was amazing! The pepperoni & ham was quite good& the amount on the pizza was generous, as was the cheese. The mushrooms were fresh too! Hubby & I have finally bought a house on Lake Gaston after 14 years of my whining about wanting a home here. Littleton is the self proclaimed 'gateway to Lake Gaston'...& I agree. There are a few businesses, but I'd love to see more. Enough said about that. I have an Italian friend who told me he enjoyed the food at Casa Mia's. Hubby & I went Wednesday night. The building is older & could use a face-lift, tummy tuck & front-end alignment. However, I have seen too many restaurants with great food & 'old' building' end up loosing the business because of debt. So, I'll live with old. It was clean and the owner & waitress were friendly & took great care of us. For once I really enjoyed viewing the TV. With the political season being here, I like to keep my mouth shut & listen to others talk & debate the candidates & parties. I enjoy hearing the different views & opinions, and have actually, learned a lot that way. I ordered Veal Parmesan with Spaghetti, green salad with buttered garlic bread - topped off with sweet tea. As many have said, not much on the outside and the inside looks like a small town diner. However, the meals tend to be very good and generous. The pizzas are good as well as the baked spaghetti.
