Dr. Huffman and his staff seemed super nice when we were going to pay almost $10,000 for 6 crowns. Caution though, he does not stand behind his work. When one of the crowns came off, they immediately told us over the phone that it was our fault and he wouldn't even look at him without a $155 exam fee. Evidently Dr. Huffman takes no pride in his work!! This place is way overpriced for all of the "free extras"! We recently had an incredibly disappointing experience with Dr. Huffman at Belpre Dental Studio. We scheduled an appointment for our 23-month-old son, Caspian, to address his severe tongue and lip ties. When booking the appointment, my wife made it clear that Caspian is a large, strong child for his age. The staff reassured us that they could handle this, stating they had experience with similar children and could swaddle him if necessary. Based on their reassurances, we felt confident moving forward. It's important to note that getting to this point wasn't easy. For months, we had asked our pediatrician about Caspian's tongue and lip ties, only to be told it wasn't an issue. When the problems persisted, we sought a second opinion, and that provider referred us to Belpre Dental Studio. We came in hopeful that this appointment would finally bring relief for our son, but it turned out to be a complete waste of time. When we arrived, Caspian was briefly placed in a toy room but became understandably upset when he was pulled away from the train he was playing with. As parents, we needed just a moment to calm him down, but instead, Dr. Huffman came in abruptly, sarcastically stating, "This is already going well." This dismissive remark set the tone for the rest of the visit. Despite knowing Caspian's age, size, and temperament in advance, Dr. Huffman appeared completely unprepared. After a cursory look in Caspian's mouth, he flatly refused to perform the procedure, claiming we had "waited too long" to address the issue--even though we had only recently been referred. Dr. Huffman showed no empathy for the barriers we faced and instead made us feel blamed for a situation beyond our control. What made this even more infuriating was the misplaced focus of the staff. While Dr. Huffman was attempting to explain his decision, one of his assistants interrupted the conversation to ask my wife where she worked and the name of her doctor. When it became clear that she worked in orthodontics rather than general dentistry, Dr. Huffman handed a piece of paper with her employment information back to the assistant and dismissively said, "It's not general dentistry--it doesn't matter." At that point, it was obvious they were more concerned about prying into her professional background than providing care for our son. The entire experience was unprofessional, dismissive, and completely avoidable. If Dr. Huffman and his team were unwilling or unable to handle a child like Caspian, they should have told us upfront. Instead, they had us come in, put him in the chair just long enough to bill for the visit, and then refused to perform the procedure. This lack of preparation, professionalism, and compassion left us feeling frustrated, dismissed, and unheard. Belpre Dental Studio should not offer pediatric services if they cannot honor their commitments or treat families with the care and respect they deserve. We strongly discourage anyone from trusting Dr. Huffman or Belpre Dental Studio with their child's care. Your family deserves far better treatment than this. read more

I have always been meticulous about my teeth and smile. I am thrilled that the team at Belpre Dental Studio has those same high standards and truly listens to my requests and smile goals! I had a filling done by Dr. Huffman and he took the time to make sure that it looked and felt good and that my bite aligned correctly. I look forward to my 6-month cleanings because the hygienists do a thorough deep clean, and my teeth look and feel cleaner and whiter. I get the GLO whitening treatment occasionally (see picture) and I am stunned at how it does not make my teeth sensitive. I will definitely continue to patronize this dental practice! read more

Belpre Dental Studio does great work! The entire staff welcomes you and they all know your name! The atmosphere is relaxing, compared to other dental offices I've been to. I have had previous dental "care" that has caused pain and lasting damage to my teeth. Dr. Huffman developed a plan to repair my teeth and eliminate further pain. He has done a number of fillings, a crown, and countless other operations for me. He is gentle and judgement-free, which are the top two traits I appreciate in a dentist. Very friendly staff and doctors! Unfortunately, they changed their policy stating cancellations must be done within one week of appointment or you will be charged. I understand cancelling in a reasonable time so they can fill the schedules, but a week is a little excessive. Unfortunately this doesn't work for my family and I have to switch dentist. read more

Office manager very rude and embarrassed me in the presents of other patients in open exam rooms. Been going to this office nearly 50 years and wasn't even treated like a number. Have never been late for an appointment, never canceled an appointment, and have always paid what I've owed. On this particular day I was TOLD that I had to sign a form that if I didn't show up, called in to cancel or not at a scheduled appointment for any reason less than ( 8 days ) that I would be charged $30.00 for cleaning and $75.00 if I was to see the doctor. What a way to treat a life long customer. When I ask why don't you deal with the ones not showing up, office manager stated it was a law that everyone be treated the same.
