I would like to thank Dr. Linscott and his staff for all that they have done for me. I woke in the middle of the night on Thursday with a toothache that was incredible, I called their office at 8am and was in the chair for a root canal by 9:15 the same day! The front office re-arranged clients and did everything they could to get me in as fast as possible. Dr. Linscott is one of the best overall and gentlest dentists of whom I've been a patient. My introduction to Dr. Linscott's practice came as result of a severe root canal infection. I experienced a very sudden onset and rapid escalation of oral pain beginning on a Friday evening which necessitated emergency treatment the next Monday. Dr. Linscott was the only dentist in Athens whom would take me on such short notice. He rescheduled appointments and saw me two hours after I first called. The centrality of his office on Court Street makes him even more accessible to patients. Dr. Linscott treated me successfully to resolution of my case via root canal procedure. In treating me, Dr. Linscott could not have been gentler; in fact decidedly not treating the root canal immediately but first prescribing a strong oral antibiotic to reduce the infection before starting treatment. In my time since as his patient, he has continued to offer the best and gentlest treatment possible. Dr. Linscott's staff are collectively very professional and loyal. His office isn't fancy, but it is clear he remains current on emerging topics and his office is clean, well managed, and has all the tools and talent necessary to do a most effective job. I had shoulder surgery 4 yr ago with traumatic intubation which I did not recognize and was not acknowledged by the CRNA, eventually developed infection in my jawbone, which had shattered. When I called for evaluation, Dr. Linscott took me in 4 days, recognized the problem, started treatment, and later sent me to a specialist who removed several pieces of my bone. I had never seen Dr. Linscott before. He was at McArthur then. He was kind, gentle, and professional. He saved me from possible worse infection, today my jaw is strong, and he has been my dentist since. He is a wonderful dentist, best I ever had, and his office staff are great. read more
