Fantastic auto repair shop I had the misfortune to need in the middle of a road trip. My Honda's alternator died just as I was about to hop on I-90W to finish the last 700 miles of a journey. AAA helped me to find this shop and they have been extremely helpful and fantastic to work with. I had to stay overnight for a new alternator to be brought in. They fetched my car from where it died and dropped me off a hotel. Part they had shipped in was bad, so they made a special trip to Sioux Falls (2 hour round trip) to get yet another one so I wouldn't have to delay my travels yet another day. I just want to say that my car is such a piece of crap that I have to take it in to Dan all the time. Not only does he go out of his way to help me every time, but he is very patient with me not knowing anything. The guys that work for him are the same way. He is friendly and understanding and always gets the job done as fast as he can. The best part is that the prices are the best around, and he explains everything he does. Had some steam coming out of the engine as I was passing through Worthington in my 1988 Westfalia. Managed to get to Beltline and what a blessing that was. Dan was so great. I know Dan as a customer of mine and as a service provider to me. He's always been great to deal with! His level of expertise is great and his level of customer service is just as on par. I have met many people who have had experience with Beltline, and the word-of-mouth reviews are all the same: Honest, Fair Prices, Skilled... They are there to fix your problem and don't sell you anything you do not need. Dan breaks the old stereotype of the technician who looks for anything possible to fix in addition to your current problem, only for the sake of charging more. I was surprised to hear him say, "don't spend money on that service right now, you really don't need it", when asking about performing major maintenance earlier than recommended. Many places would have jumped on that chance to make money even though it was just not needed. This is the kind of customer service that makes or breaks a small business. Check Engine light came on while passing through Worthington, SD, on vacation. Stopped at Beltline to have it checked. Don immediately hooked up the analyzer. He assured us it was nothing serious, reset the light, and we were on our way. There was no charge. Don was very friendly. read more

This garage was amazing! We broke down on a Sunday in Worthington, Mn and we're stuck in a hotel. We called Dan ( the owner) first thing Monday morning, and he had us come in right away even before all his mechanics got in!! He was so kind & understanding of our dilemma. Even though he had a full garage of jobs, he fit us right in! The part needed to fix the problem was in Michigan!! My mind screamed "aahhh!!', but Dan assured me he & his guys would make something work that would get us safely home. Within 3 hours they had figured out a safe way to "McGyver" our van to let us get home, and we don't need to change it later as he explained that the change would hold up fine!
