When I was a new recipient of hearing aids it took me a while to adjust to them, considering going from non coherent to suddenly hearing anything and everything. As a result, I'd put them in and take them out in certain settings. While I shared this with her, she made it a point to comment snidely on my insurance company wasting their time and resources if I wasn't going to use them. ( which I was ). Stephanie is the one person I'd recommend staying far from as she is not empathetic, understanding and she is just FLAT out rude. Not to mention, ( while wearing the hearing aids, as I removed them from my ears the domes constantly got stuck in my canal. I called as an emergency to be seen right away as it can be severely damaging yo whatever little hearing I had left. The office instead of making an accommodation to bring me in for a 5 minute extraction of the dome told me they had no availability but the next day. I asked them to call the patient prior to my arrival and ask if they'd be okay with a delay of 5-10 minutes for an emergency. After arguing on the phone with them for 5 minutes, and a rude exchange they finally allowed me to stop by and be helped. Not to mention I sat waiting for nearly an hour because well, this office just sucks and so does everyone in it. To add, my visit took less than 5 minutes.

I arrived around 9:10 AM without an appointment, hoping to be seen on an emergency basis, but was turned away and given the number for their Old Bridge office instead. When I called from my car, I was told there were no available appointments--yet somehow the Shrewsbury office had a 10 AM opening. I took that appointment, but the staff member who initially turned me away wouldn't even acknowledge me. To be fair, the doctor and the hearing test technician were both kind, patient, and professional--I truly appreciated their care during a stressful situation. Unfortunately, the front desk experience completely overshadowed that. I was instructed to schedule a one-week follow-up before leaving, which I did. When I returned for that appointment, I was told I wasn't in the system. The staff member I dealt with was visibly irritated--huffing, puffing, and rolling her eyes--then told me to wait while she looked into it. After waiting about 10 minutes with no update, I stepped outside briefly to regroup. When I came back in, she continued to ignore me entirely. I was eventually called up by another staff member to complete paperwork that I just previously filled out one week ago The level of rudeness and lack of accountability from the front desk staff is honestly mind-boggling. I understand that healthcare settings can be busy and stressful, but basic kindness and respect should never be optional--especially when patients are already dealing with pain and anxiety. If that level of service is too much to ask, this may not be the right role for them.

After the the apt the receptionist made me a follow up apt that I canceled and then received another call a few weeks later tell me they will charge me if I didn't keep the appt.i called the office and informed them the I will call the office to make another apt when iam ready.i didn't make one and received a bill in the mail stating that I missed an appt.they also said I made a total of 5 appts ,when I didn't make any but the initial appt and canceled the 2nd one..BEWARE of the way this office schedules appts they will make them and expect to to cancel them or get billed for them. I should of noticed when I called to make the appt they were able to take me when ever I can get there.and the office was empty..i guess other people are aware on this office.
