I was very pleased in my dealings with them. Courteous, knowledgeable & professional. I am wearing hearing aids in both ears for over a month now. They are terrific in many ways. ie: able to keep involved in all conversations with children & grand children as well as friends. Wear them all the time with exception of sleeping. I changed batteries about every 6 days. Very little maintenance. When any issues arise they are just a phone call away to help. The experience started great, staff was great and responsive until I was suckered into paying out of pocket instead of waiting for the insurance. I was told everything was preauthorized and approved by the insurance company. I paid upfront $4600 in January 2020, since then I have been going back and forth with my insurance company because no one in the office will reply to my various attempts to communicate with them and get this resolved. Hearing aids no longer work, I am out $4600 which I could not afford and have no option to return them or have them checked since the office will not return my calls, texts or emails. Now my insurance has denied my claim and despite repeated attempts by the insurance company to contact them nothing has been done by the provider to help me get this resolved. The provider tells the insurance company that they are sending the needed paperwork and does not follow through. This has been a disaster for 10 months without resolution. The insurance company keeps trying to no avail. read more

I cannot recommend Sound Hearing Solutions and Ali Jaffari more. My parents and I have been so impressed by their personal level of service at a difficult time for our family. My 85-year-old father recently suffered a stroke and needed to replace one of his hearing aids. We found Sound Hearing here on Yelp, were able to quickly make an appointment, and made the thirty plus minute ride to the Freehold office. Ali conducted a thorough hearing exam for my father in spite of his challenged attention and health. A loaner hearing aid was provided overnight to give my father a sense of a different hearing aid format (which he wound up not liking). Then when my father's customized hearing aid was delivered, Ali personally delivered it to my parents home and adjusted it right there in their kitchen (which was a big deal to my parents). But what really set Ali and Sound Hearing apart is they showed an almost unbelievable level of patience, consideration, and flat out loving care. You don't see customer care like this near often enough. read more
