It was hard to get help or make follow up appointments. I recently had to buy a replacement aid, I went 3 or 4 times and the place was closed. Eventually got in - but no because you have to make an appointment. Called the next day to make an appointment, they said I didn't need one. Went to pick up hearing aid, they said I needed the other so they could adjust together and I had to see the audiologist. Next day back with the other hearing aid....no you don't need to see the audiologist, no you don't need both hearing aids for this. Also it would have been great if it was already charged when I picked up, like the originals, but no - that's a perfect example of great service at the sale, poor service later. Somewhere in there was no we don't take credit cards over the phone and then it was can you give me your credit card over the phone before you pick up. The hearing aid is great.

I resisted some more since I'm self sufficient, but in all honesty, I was tired of not being able to follow a conversation, missing a word and having no clue what was going on and living in a partially silent world.. so I made the appointment and went. The entire staff was excellent, from the entire office staff, to Dr Freedman who I saw first to make sure my ears were healthy and that hearing aids would help me, then after that I met with the audiologist, Joseph Weisberger who was awesome.. I have really bad anxiety and he was very nice and patient, gave me the hearing test and the bad news that yes.. I definitely needed hearing aids, but the choices now are so much better than they were when I was 10 and got them for the first time and refused to wear them so my parents returned them.. this time I made the attempt to get used to them, and was finally able to hear in formerly silent world. I had several visits to adjust hearing aids, but it only took me a few days to get used to them.. 2 weeks ago I had to go back after dropping one. I figured it would either be an easy fix or I'd need new ones.. thankfully for me, it was an easy fix. After getting the repair done, Joseph again took the time to make sure I was happy with the level of hearing and I actually left there feeling like I'd gotten new hearing aids and can even hear the rain on the roof right now.. I would recommend this office and the Middletown office to anyone.. beyond excellent service and staff!

As far as the staff, they are ALL true assets to Southcoast's institution. I am a very difficult stick when it comes to IV and truthfully I worry more about the nurses gaining access then the procedure itself. The nurses are true angels! I've been amazed that on occasion a few were able to tap in on the first try. I assisted my sister during her cortisone shot. Her experience, and mine lol, was great! It took 11 minutes for the shot to be administered and my sister said there was virtually no pain. After being in a car accident, myself, husband, and two young children, 3&1 have been seeing Dr. Sowersby. He is very knowledgeable and listens really well to the areas needing attention. He is very gentle while treating the two younger kids aswell. Our whole family loves to come here and make it an exciting time for the two little ones. We always come in kind of like a hurricane with the kids but they really make us feel comfortable and like we aren't a nuisance to anyone. They lend a helping hand with the youngest too while mom & dad get worked on. I really couldn't say enough about this practice and will continue to refer them, especially Dr. Sowersby to everyone we know!
