I have never had one complaint. However, I am extremely disappointed with the Clifton Rehab facility. This facility is a safe and secure facility where people can get decent care, but they don't take criticism very well. The staff is mostly per diems, so the caregivers differ from day to day and have no baseline frame of reference. I also think they focus on filling beds instead of what is best for the patient. My father had been a patient there over the summer to receive physical therapy, and while the medical reports indicated he needed all sorts of assistance and probably would not be able to return to assisted living, it was simply not true. He was actually quite able bodied, but when they can get you to pay for beds in both facilities, why not? I was then pressured by Izze Lawton, to switch my father from his managed group health insurance in to Medicare, because it would guarantee him 90 days of care. While it appeared to be well-meaning, friends warned me the facility was looking for a blank check. Fast forward to now, where my father needs another short term rehab stay. I was not thrilled with this facility, but it's safe and convenient, so I agreed to another stay at this facility, where apparently we are banned due to my having expressed my honest concerns. They literally rescinded the bed offer after speaking with me. Shame on Clifton and the ownership for denying long-term residents of the assisted living facility access to the whole Clifton "family" campus. It's truly disgusting behavior and showcases the heartlessness of the management of the rehab.

My grandmother stayed in this nursing home for years (at her own request) until finding herself in an assisted living home which was much better. She told us stories of nurses not caring about people, not taking proper care of them, not changing them when they needed to be changed, and sometimes even physical abuse. Her clothes and personal belongings got stolen several times, her medication was messed up several times, and when she needed any medical or personal attention, the nurses never seemed to care and always sent her to the hospital instead of dealing with it themselves. They truly don't care about their job and a whole new staff should replace them. I didn't want to believe any of this until my sister, who a temp nurse, worked there this past weekend and said she has NEVER seen anything like it. All of my grandmother's stories were true. The place isn't up to code on ALMOST EVERYTHING. Do not bring your loved one to THIS kindred location. It may be the worst in the whole state.

When I was presented with a choice of 3 NH to choose from I did not hesitate to choose Crawford for the care of my Mom. The Nurses, CNA's, Social Work Department, discharge planning, Occupational and Physical therapy departments were great. My mother was treated with respect and dignity and was well cared for. The Nurses answered my questions and addressed my concerns satisfactorily. Mom especially liked bingo! Other Residents and families reached out to help my Mom adjust to her new surroundings. I would like to especially thank Laura & Melissa (nurses) Jess and Paulina (CNA's), Connie from Social Work Department and Melissa from discharge planning.These individuals are caring, compassionate and helped me to have peace of mind while my Mom was there. They called me one afternoon saying she got out of the facility and ended up at stop and shop and didn't know how she got there and her alarm monitor bracelet wasn't working. She could barely walk and it was 90 degrees that day I guess someone visiting a resident gave her a ride there. Then she feel and broke her hip slipping on her own urine and died shortly after her hip surgery. Now it has been 4 months and I paid for the last month she was there in full and she died on the 6 th of May they owe me a good amount of money and will not send me my check. I have contacted them 4 times and sent an email they tell me corporate has to issue me a check but still nothing! This facility should not be in buisness they need to be shut down!!!

Yes I blame this facility for the loss of my Mom and I WOULD NOT recommend this place at all!! My Mom lost her life because of the neglect in Southpointe. People beware!! Mom can be a tough broad at times, but this team overlooks it and treats her with respect and care. The head nurse of North (Stephanie) has gone way above and beyond. She moved mountains to make sure mom has everything she needs; and has the staff making sure mom is engaged in activities and doing PT in her room when she is able to. It would be nice if they had daily group exercise activities, but one step at at time....literally..lol. Cissy is Mom's new best friend. She takes the time to sit with mom even after her shift has ended. Mom is not a happy camper with the food, but she's also really picky so I didn't take a star off for that.

First off let's discuss the visitation policy. You have to make an appointment 24 hours in advance to see your loved one. You can't bring any bags or purses in. Am I visiting a hospital or a prison? They said it's Covid protocols but all Covid restriction have lifted in every health care facilities and as far as I know my purse doesn't cough. They want 24 hours notice so they can make sure your family member looks like they are taken care of. Let me say that there was some staff members that were wonderful, patient and kind. Respiratory therapy, PT and OT were great. I admit my father is not the easiest patient but when you have no ability to communicate with people behavior is the only way you have to get the point across. He is vent dependent and unable to speak. Speech therapy was non existent. She gave him a thick binder he had to flip through to get to what he wanted to say and gave him a card with the alphabet on it. These would be fine if they had bothered to take into account he is vision impaired and couldn't read any of it. One nurse was so rough cleaning him that he started to refuse to get washed. Because of his disease he is unable to control his head movement. When they turned him to wash him they hit his head on the side rail of the bed 3 different times and also pushed his trach into the side rail when turning him. They took no account of the pain he was in. I had to fight to get him so much as oxycodone. My dad even told us that one night a staff member told him she would love to watch him burn. When we brought this to their attention instead of investigating the complaint the case manager said they were sending him to a facility in Boston with less than 24 hours notice. We had no opportunity to tour the facility. It's 55 miles away from where he lives which forces my 70 year old stepmother to drive into Boston daily. They told us if we appealed we would have to pay out of pocket for him to stay there. Such a nice thing to do, to isolate a dying man from his family. They took a family nightmare and amplified it by 1000. One day it will be them in the bed and I hope karma gives them exactly what they deserve. People aren't dollar signs. They likely will attempt to challenge this review or have some comment. What they did to my father and our family was criminal. There is no heart or compassion in this place. 10 out of 10 do not recommend. Addendum: When we got to the new facility and they did his skin check vibra never even put a dressing on his wound. Instead they just stuffed some gauze between butt cheeks so he laid on an ambulance stretcher for almost 2 hours with no protection. And within hours spiked a temp with an aspiration pneumonia. So I guess they didn't bother to hold his tube feeding before left. As a healthcare professional I strongly recommend not sending anyone you love to this dump
