My 100th First to Review!…read more I always find it somewhat awkward reviewing medical professionals... from doctors to dentists, therapists and the like, the unique relationship formed between specialists and their patients seem a strange thing to attach a review to. In any case, the scenario is easier when you have only good things to report. Over the years I have had to switch primary physicians a number of times. Since having left my pediatrician for obvious reasons, insurance changes have forced these necessary adjustments. Fortunately, these exchanges have led me to Dr. Michael Campbell's care. Dr. Campbell is an energetic, knowledgeable, and personable physician practicing Family and Internal Medicine in Fall River, MA. A 2001 graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, this physician works out of Millview Medical Associates and is affiliated with several surrounding medical establishments. As a healthcare professional myself, it is sometimes difficult to find a physician who will treat you like a patient. What I mean by that is many physicians expect and assume that you know everything there is to know about certain conditions, lab work findings, and medications. This is not the case with Dr. Campbell. He takes the time to willingly review and explain concepts that though familiar to me, are a nice reminder, refresher, or lesson when it comes to my own life. I can only imagine this service is enhanced for those lacking a medical background. He never appears to be in a rush with appointments and don't let this statement fool you... I usually only have to wait about 15 minutes to be called into an examine room. I always feel as though my statements and concerns are heard thoroughly and options in care carefully weighed between the benefits, risks, and what would work best for me individually. It's nice to feel as though you have a working and collaborative relationship with your physician. If you are looking for a primary care physician and he is available to accept new patients, I highly recommend Dr. Campbell for your overall health needs.

Luckily being on the Medical field I finally got thru to them what they actually needed to do. Wait so long on hold I just put phone on speaker and do chores when I am home since trying to call on lunch break is a waste of time. Now to find Drs in another practice that answers the phone and Drs getting prescriptions called in within a day or 2 . I have to call ahead 2 weeks knowing it will take that long and that's poor patient care. Had to go out of town and even told them that, gave them 10 days to fill prescription and still not done in time.

And here's a list of Doctors to choose from at Prima Care. well that list of Doctors has a 3 to 4 month "waiting period" if there is a spot available after the wait. This is quite the shock ! You depend on a medical system to provide care but out of the blue there is none. Go fend for yourself is there attitude. In fact the "Patient Coordinator" in a voice mail states the is nothing she can do.

I'm sick as a dog, Yelp. I have a nasty sinus infection and have been out of work for a few days…read morerecovering. If not for the good folks at Westport Family Medicine Center, I wouldn't be able to go back in tomorrow. I went to their patient-only walk-in clinic yesterday and was out an hour later with a diagnosis and three prescriptions that have been working wonderfully to bring me back up to full speed. Although the doctor I saw was not my PCP, he did a great job at making me feel comfortable and taken care of. I've been a patient of Dr. Jane Li since December and the level of service the doctors at this facility provides is above and beyond. I switched over from being a patient at the STARR Clinic near my home and the difference in service and quality is astounding. Their facility was recently renovated and everything is brand new and squeaky clean. If you're looking for a new PCP, I can't recommend switching over to Westport Family Medicine Center enough.

The waiting room has absolutely no warmth at all, but it's funny, beyond the doors of the waiting room, there were touches of niceness scattered around. The room I was in the first time overlooked a pond. Definitely would recommend for a townie.
