I contacted the owners after Easter, 2018 about the way my mother was treated. From being charged double gratuity by Dale, the owner, prior to even entering the building, being treated rudely by Dale, the owner, to the subpar quality of the food. First Dale came back and blamed one of his employees for the problem. Then he blamed the credit card machine, when she paid cash. To be fair, he did offer that we could come back and have a Sunday buffet for free. However, since he would not take any responsibility for what happened and, according to my Mom, it was not the first time he treated her in a rude manner, my Mom declined Then I get an email from Pat, the other owner (husband/wife owners). She starts telling me things like "you said you've been coming here since 2012". I never said this. You said, "the children went away hungry", once again, I never said this. She also said, "You were wth a large group that arrived separately in between 12-1 and Dale had to split the bill several times". "Your Mom is not the kind of person that would say these things"--she doesn't even know who I am, so how does she know what my Mom would or would not say. I had let them know that my Mom was there at 10:30 and there were three people in her group. Pat also said that the little kids left a lot of wasted food at the table. AND that we grumbled at the door (in between 12-1) that another customer apologized for our behavior--except that the time was 10:30, and the youngest was 15. Clearly, there were other complaints for the same day and Pat and Dale couldn't even keep them straight when responding. Pat said my comments were "harsh and out of line", well I will NOT apologize for sticking up for my mother when she is treated horribly. The Pat sends another email saying, "you claim there were three people in your group". So now I am a liar?. Pat also said that Dale didn't feel he treated my Mom rudely at all. Guess what, doesn't matter what Dale thinks, he was RUDE, HE is the one that double charged the gratuity. HE is the one that gave $.42 change out of $60 for one senior, one adult and one child meal. HE is the one that would not take any accountability for HIS actions. And now I am being called a liar?? My family will NEVER go back to the Belvedere in Marshfield, WI. And I CAN NOT recommend this place to anyone. read more

When I heard that the original owners had resumed daily operation of the Belvedere Supper Club, I knew I had to take a road trip. I heard so many poor reviews of the previous owners short stint of running this little jewel that I was sad I wouldn't be able to check out another classic Wisconsin Supper Club Destination. Fortunately our recent trip to the Belvedere did not disappoint. Our meal started with cocktails while chatting with the owner behind the bar. The Old Fashioneds were good, and an appetizer of fresh fried cheese curds really hit the spot. Moving into the dining room I had the steak and shrimp and my dining companion the coconut shrimp. Salad bar is nice, not large, but kept fresh with a good variety of iceberg lettuce, toppings and sides. My steak arrived, lightly seasoned, and cooked perfectly at medium-rare on a hot sizzle plate. My companion was really impressed with the flavor of the coconut shrimp, especially the dipping sauce. Dinner came with dessert, which was a small piece of mandarin orange cake. I hadn't had that since I was a child, so it was a blast from the past. Service was excellent, our waitress did an outstanding job at making sure we enjoyed our stay. The decor is a little dated, showing its early '80s bones. But the restaurant is neat and tidy. Carpets are clean and the walls had been recently repainted. I can tell the owners care about their business and keep it in good shape. We'll certainly be back. read more

It is so wonderful to see Dale & Pat Leffel back in charge at the Belvedere and so sorry that those others who had taken over the business for sum odd months were not at all ready to entertain the public. That being said the Belvedere to us is warm & homey ! The staff is wonderfully accommodating. Whether it be a home cooked meal from the menu or the buffet. We most enjoy there holiday events. Easter was fantastic. It was a bit of a wait but that was because so many had come to eat ; it was well worth the wait. The Belvedere had a full round Salad Bar in the center of our dining area. The Buffet was constantly being refilled so everything was good and hot. Now the Fireside room was spectacular.It had wall to wall desserts,pies.cookies & bars and a Chocolate Fountain YUM!! The price for all that was so fair! Thank You Dale & Pat ; so glad you are back in charge , the atmosphere is always elegant & clean . What I like the most is that Pat brings from the kitchen the old world recipes not found in food chain restaurants. My husband loves the Beef tips and my favorite is Cabbage Rolls. FOOD was excellent, SERVICE was superb, ATMOSPHERE was perfect and STAFF was great. Recently we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at the Belvedere Supper Club. It was a perfect choice to celebrate our 'Golden Day' and start the next 50 years. With the help of the owners, it was very easy to plan this party making our experience wonderful and enjoyable. It was an overall touch of elegance with class and yet comfortably informal. I would recommend the facility to anyone wanting a good meal and a nice atmosphere. When planning the meal, there were many choices which would fit into everyone's budget plan. Many of our guests (out-of-town and local) commented to us about what a nice overall time they had and how nice everyone was. It seemed like the Belvedere would be able to handle groups large or small; ours was a medium size party with 150 guests. The Belvedere accommodations worked for us and they made it to suit our wishes. I would recommend it in a heartbeat to anyone wanting good atmosphere with good food. This was an excellent experience where we received more 'Bang for our Buck'. What more could we ask for . . . 5 Stars from us for this restaurant - no complaints!! read more

We took a little road trip and tried out the Belvedere because we had heard so many good things about it over the years. We sat at the bar first and we were warmly greeted by the bartender and we enjoyed a before dinner drink. We were seated and we were greeted by our server that was very nice through the whole experience. I ordered steak alfredo and my wife ordered the ribeye. We both really enjoyed our meals and can see why we had heard good things about this establishment over the years. We will be back again and would recommend the dining experience. In regard to Marshall S------OOPPS wrong restaurant, competor down the street that everyone confuses for Belvedere has a salad bar with just lettuce and toppings. Belvederes salad bar contains at all times 12 to 14 homemade salads a few salad toppings and lettuce. Belvedere's sauce for coconut shrimp starts as a fresh product and served warm in a metal cup, Mashed potatoes are not served as an option with either the steak or shrimp. We have no kids as servers, Belvederes servers are age 40 and older. We went to the Belvedere based on some 5 star reviews we read online and we were not disappointed. Stopped in on a Tuesday as we were visiting friends for a few days. We found out it was "Date night" and we thought we'd try it. I had the Coconut Shrimp and my husband had the BBQ ribs. It included a beer apiece, soup, salad bar and dessert! WOW how could we go wrong for $50.00...what a deal. Service was really good and we enjoyed the cozy environment there. Can't wait to come back to the area for another visit! read more

We stopped in for the Thanksgiving Day Buffet while visiting relatives and it was wonderful. Salad bar, entrees and dessert area were huge. We enjoyed a bloody mary at the bar first and that was yummy and a good start to the day! Even though it was busy we had great service from our waitress. We really enjoyed our holiday with family. They selected the Belvedere because they come here regularly and I can see why. We are looking forward to stopping here the next time we visit our family in Marshfield. read more

My wife and I visited Marshfield on business earlier this summer. A friend recommended the Belvedere Supper Club. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was out of this world. My fiancé and I visited Belvedere's because we were just passing through Marshfield. The setting is very old fashioned, but in a great way that made the supper club feel cozy. We were seated immediately and served drinks. Very friendly staff! The salad bar had a huge variety of options and the homemade salad dressings were outstanding! My wife and I had our Valentines Date at the Belvedere Supper Club and Love the way we were greeted at the door by the warm and friendly staff. The buffet of food was hot and fresh. All in a comfortable and warm atmosphere that hearkens to cozy and kind. Food was very tasty and the salads with 5 different dressings are worth repeating. I have not had better service or better pan fried shrimp than at the Belvedere. My wife had a great Alfredo with chicken. What a great surprise! The food was amazing and service with a smile!! Wanted fish fry and they had four different types of fish on the buffet: ) The homemade desserts really topped off the night! Went for a special little party at this place on a Saturday night and was totally satisfied. Food was good - it was cozy and the staff made me feel welcome. It's about a 2-mile drive north of Marshfield - it was worth it. Will definitely go back. read more
