I love this place -- one of the best dining experiences I've had in Switzerland. I first came here for a work dinner in the summer, and loved the surroundings. The garden is a beautiful place in which to sit outside and have a drink. The building itself has a traditional charm, and is very elegant. My second time back the weather was not as nice, but it felt warm and welcoming in the restaurant.
Everything I've eaten here is fantastic. On both occasions I ordered deer, and it is so so good. Just a perfect cut of meat prepared perfectly -- juicy, tender, flavorful... perfection. I'm also a huge fan of Zürcher Geschnetzeltes mit Rösti, so couldn't help by try a bit from the others at my table. Here you'll find a very good representation, and for sheer quantity is hard to beat (there's a round 2 after you're done with the initial serving -- my fellow diners were shocked at how much more they gave).
The dessert selections are fantastic; there's a trolley with many choices and you're able to sample half portions if you want some variety but are sated after the main course. It's a nice presentation and memorable way to end the evening.
Service at the restaurant is fantastic. As the restaurant is affiliated with a hospitality school, the servers are all very friendly and professional. If only all restaurant staff could be trained here!
For a city as expensive as Zürich, the prices at Belvoirpark are quite reasonable. The quality, quantity, and prices are hard to match anywhere else in the city. I can't wait to go back. read more
