I just left this store , it is Friday March 20th, around 12:10pm, I walked into the store trying to buy a Hamilton watch for my Nephew's birthday, there were three sales associates in the store, one was helping a customer, but there was a guy and a older blonde lady pretending as if I am invisible. I am a local dentist and a business owner and I hardly write reviews, but I wanted the owners of BB Jeweler to know, because of these incompetent people working there, you lose good paying customers, I am a watch collector and I have never seen anything like this where the sales associates are just chitchatting and don't even bother to ask if I need any help, standing by Hamilton display. The first time I went to get a battery for watch. I was looking around and considered a watch and thought I would consider purchasing it when I went to pick up the watch. Three weeks later no call to pick up the watch. They said they would call. We decided to drop by. The place was not very busy. However, we waited. Not a single person looked at us or acknowledged our presence. When we finally had someone they told us to wait as they started to help someone else. I kindly told her we had been patiently waiting and were here before the person she was about to help. She started to argue with me until the perdón acknowledged we were first. Not a single apology or acknowledgment. Paid for the battery and left. I would NEVER purchase anything from here. Too bad. They lost a sale for a nice watch. read more

After discovering Cartier was no longer in Galleria, I found Ben Bridge In the Galleria near Nordstroms. Found out they could replace my watch battery as they are a certified jeweler. The process was very thorough. Thru photographed my watch. Back and front. Meticulously handled it and wrote it up. The customer service was great. Less than 3 weeks later they called and watch was shipped back from their Seattle location. New battery with 1 yr warranty. It looks great and is working well. Wouldn't hesitate to return. read more

I bought a watch for my boyfriend's and I 6th anniversary gift. My first visit, I asked if they can remove the bands on the watch so that I can get the back of the face engraved. I was expecting a charge because previous jewelers would charge me for this service. However, the woman who helped me, (brunette hair... sad, didn't get her name), happily did it for me free of charge and told me that it's not a hassle at all to get them off. After the engravings were done, I came back a week later so they can put the bands back on. Another lady (curly hair) helped me and told me it would be for 25 bucks... At first, I thought it was quite ridiculous to be charged that much for such a simple service as putting bands back on the watch. Also considering the fact it was free of charge to remove the bands... I agreed to pay anyways but she further explained to me that it includes resizing. That was more reasonable and eliminates me finding another place to get it resized! I overall had no problems with the customer service as they were very sweet and always acknowledged me when I came in. I got back the watch today and they packaged it back in a pouch along with the extra bands that didn't fit my boyfriend's wrist. It's well taken care of and I'll definitely come back. read more

A wonderful day is one that includes my mom, Jesse, Ed Bridge, and Ben Bridge Jewelers!! I took my 90-year old mom to the mall today to find a necklace for her charms. The necklace she had been wearing for the past 10-years was broken. Imagine this. Me, Janis Joplin's twin, over 50, long hair pulled back, my mother's caregiver for the past 10-years so slightly grungy wearing my casual sweatpants and Estes park T-shirt from a long ago vacation. I may or may not have been wearing my purple Crocs. ;-) My mom, in a wheelchair, hard of hearing, cute as a button with an effervescent smile that lights up a room, eyes that sparkle and dazzle, and with personality of a Italian matriarch. We went to almost every place that sells jewelry in the mall because not only did I want to find a very nice necklace for her, I wanted it to be high quality and good value. I love her so much!! Who doesn't want the best for their mom right?? As I walked into Ben Bridges, Jesse (the salesman) was so kind and so knowledgeable. He asked about what I was looking for, sought to understand what we wanted and how my mom would wear this necklace. He connected directly with us. He came out from behind the counter and talked to my mom at her eye-level [she was seated in her wheelchair]. He talked about silver and gold chains detailing the different styles, pros and cons. What happened at the other jewelry and department stores at the Roseville Galleria? Judgement. I don't know if it was our looks or our age. There were sales people who: had no idea what they had available for sale, did not understand their own inventory. There were sales people didn't want to take the time to go through their drawers or check their back rooms. I encountered sales people who had to ask each other where things were located within their own store. Some passed us off from one person to another. Some glanced at us and did not believe we could be serious shoppers and so they didn't want to give us the time of day. After going through this multiple times at other places, I made a decision. I headed straight back to Ben Bridge. No Jesse. He was at lunch. Someone else was happy to help me. Decided to wait for Jesse; he had been so refreshing. Took my mom to Talbots and Nordstroms (nearby) and then returned. Jesse was back. He asked if I came to look at the necklace again. I told him we came to purchase it. As I'm checking out, I told Jesse I had waited for him while he was at lunch. He said I could have just asked and Ben Bridge would have paged him, that he would have been happy to come in (while on his lunch hour) to help us, that he was eating nearby. I told him he was worth the wait. Jesse told me he was having a late lunch because today Ed Bridge (who is a grandson of Ben Bridge and the CEO of Ben Bridge Jewelers) was visiting. Oh! I definitely wanted to meet him!! :-) So, Jesse points out Ed Bridge in the store. I walked straight over and introduced myself. I told him how wonderful Jesse is and I introduced Ed Bridge to my mom. He shock her hand and my mom smiled one of her dashing smiles and said to him: Con mucho gusto! [translation: with much pleasure]. I took this fabulous picture - which I have added on Yelp in the Ben Bridge photo section. OMG. I thought I was going to pass out. What a very sweet and kind man is Ed. I have to share with all of you Yelpers, I'm a really good judge of character. I just really liked this guy, Ed Bridge. So anyway, here I am tonight. BTW, I want to add that about 30-years ago, when I graduated with my electrical engineering degree, I also bought my college class ring at Ben Bridge. That would be in a different city, different place, and different time. Used to be a great place with great customer service. I would walk in and they would automatically offer a cleaning, no questions asked. Bought most of my jewelry from this company used to go to the location in downtown but since they closed went to Roseville Galleria .. first experience in 2017-2018 was great most recent experience (high purchase) last couple months .. not so great. I had to call to find out my status .. when I picked up the ring no final receipt. Also they included lifetime warranty without letting us know (which we were going to purchase anyways). Had I not gone in to get my reprint of my receipt I never got, would've never known. Also reading a couple reviews .. there is definitely profiling for sure when they see you. Been going to Ben for a while now to maintain my Breitling. Mostly dealt with the watch expert Jesse. Went in a few days ago with my Jacob & Co. watch to get the batteries replaced, and that's my first bad decision. Everything was going ideal... he was checking the watch, I forgot the man's name behind the counter, and took it back to refer to the watch expert. Said it would be about $70 to change the batteries. I agreed to the price and he started a work order form. Asking my info on the watch.. This is when i knew the man was shady and all-around prejudice towards my belongings. The man asked me, "value of the timepiece". I responded, "$68k". He looked at me crazy.. made comments ("we wouldnt be able to deal with it if it was valued at half that price")... the man pulled out his magnifier, looked at the diamonds (with me on the inside saying "yes sir, that is REAL VS diamonds all around. Yes it's almost 30 carats smh"), then he brought it back to the watch expert, came back and said the shop can't take the 'risk'. Such large scale value with only needing $70 worth of work. Said he "had over 40 years experience and had never seen anything like the timepiece before." That should of of been my first indication that they were not the right store front for me. Well excuse me... even though I let him know I have the timepiece rightfully appraised and insured, Ben Bridge doesnt have insurance to work on my piece??? Or is it too hip hop, blingy af for your prejudice ass to work on it! Didnt have no issue cleaning and examining my wives wedding ring that cost $30k... Never hit them up again. And their customer service is not up to par. read more

At the end of the day, I feel those in customer service should ask themselves whether they have done their very best to ensure customers will not only return to their business, but also refer their friends. Each employee in the Roseville store should answer "no" every day for the past 18 days. I had them send my watch out to have the battery replaced. I was told it would take three weeks. Okay fine, no problem. The three week mark came and went and I had not yet received a phone call to pick up my watch. I called the store and was told my watch had been ready 18 days prior. 18. Days. Prior. Okay, so why did I not receive a phone call? We did call you, she said. Um, no, no you have not. She told me there was a note on the back of her paper that read a phone call was place and a message left. Well ma'am I am here to tell you that never happened. I have no phone call and no message from your store. She INSISTED those two actions occurred. I DO NOT appreciate being called a liar. But ok, let's give them the benefit of the doubt. Let's say they did call my phone. But maybe left no message. Or even if you did leave a message, you are going to allow 18 days to pass without even a follow-up telephone call? Terrible. Your store has failed. I do not take kindly to being called a liar. And over a phone call and a message. Maybe hear what the customer has to say over it instead of insisting that because the back of your paper says so, it must have happened. No, it did not. So maybe your employee should be fired for being dishonest on the back of that piece of paper. I will be picking up my watch soon, hopefully things go better in person. read more

When I was stuck in the loser of all loser relationships of my life, the loser would have a revolving account here for making up for the loser things he did and for appeasement from being a loser. But irregardless of the association, Ben Bridges is the higher end mall jewelry store and an arrogant nod to the slightly cheaper end stores that border on cheesy deliverance and cheaper cut diamonds and stones and even settings! I'm pretty conservative when it comes to jewelry, although I have not really splurged on anything for the past 4 years and if it comes to an investment, I usually went the Tiffany's route. Hey, the money spent is reflected in the quality of the stone and materials. I can vouch for that. However, Ben Bridges stores and styles present a more classic approach and this is reflected their simple yet pretty traditional settings. Their brilliant cut series is pretty amazing. The diamonds are cut to reflect several angles within a facet, hence the sudden fire caught by shifting the weight of your hand. Prices reflect the quality as well. My platinum diamond necklace from the dork was a one of a kind design and cost a pretty penny....remembered me from my first visit for alterations and they will size the jewelry at no cost to you. Also, in addition to the free sizing and cleaning services, any diamond can be traded up to another jewelry purchase. In my case, I'm waiting to pawn this because sometimes, some memories that come with a price, are not worth holding on to. This store has a great staff and no snooty customer service staff, although it helps that they are situated to the right of Nordstrom's. Marketing does indeed pay in attracting their client pool by locale. read more

Got the call today that it was finally ready & I could come pick it up. Called to see how late they were open, was told they would be there until 7pm, even though their hours say 9pm online. Drove an hour (and burned 1/4 tank of gas) down the hill to get there right at 6:00. Walked in to the mall & see they are closed up. Lights still on inside, people still in there. Called them, no answer, but they made eye contact with me through the glass. A minute later, THREE employees walked out & locked the rolling door. I asked why they closed early and they said there was a 'staffing issue' & they needed to close. I explained that I just drove an hour to just pick up my band & was told they would still be open... The ladies basically told me "oh well" (in slightly nicer words), told me they could ship it to me on Monday, or I need to call again tomorrow to double check that they will actually be open.. refused to quickly open the door & give me my ring.. and they left. I am always FOR supporting smaller businesses & I understand times are tough & everyone is short staffed. But this could've been handled so differently & they would've had a happy customer (whose husband has dropped quite a bit of money with this business in the last 1.5 years). Something has changed about Ben Bridge. We have been loyal customers for years. Recently we decided to upgrade our wedding rings, and immediately went to Ben Bridge because of our past experiences. At first, things were going well. We worked with John who was incredibly patient (we had our 4 year old there), and helped us pick out an Ikuma wedding set for myself and a new ring for my husband. While we were there, we also had another ring sent out for rhodium servicing. We were told our rings would be in a week or so, and that my daughter would get a bear for being so good when we returned. We were thrilled when John called a week later to let us know our rings were in. He said he wouldn't be in the next day, but that someone would be there to help us. Great! Well, that's where things changed. We arrived to Ben Bridge and were treated like a bother. There was a short older woman behind the counter who first asked us for our "slip." We told her we had a receipt, but hadn't been given a "slip." Cue the first round of back and forth. Finally, with a sigh, accepted the one document we had been given (mind you all 3 pieces were under the same name) and went to find our rings. Success! She found the rings, and as fate would have it, the pink "slip" was attached to the rings so we never even got it. No "I'm sorry for treating you like you lost this super important slip we didn't give you," no nothin. We asked for the boxes for the rings, as they are being presented at a vow renewal of sorts. Well, I guess they couldn't find or didn't have boxes for the men's rings, so the ring didn't fit in the slit. Cue the next odd exchange. The ladies put double sided tape, yes, TAPE into the slit in the box (after using scissors to try and cut the fabric to make the slit bigger). The lady stuck my husband's brand new, expensive ring onto the double sided tape and handed it back to us. What!? So you're telling me that you're selling jewelry you don't have boxes for, so we're using double sided tape to tape the ring in? With concern that leaving a ring attached to tape could actually be harmful to the ring (I'm no jeweler, but I have tried to scrape tape goo off of things before and that's not fun), we gave the tape back and decided to order a box for the ring since one couldn't be provided. So, it's time to bag up our new rings. We remind the lady that John was going to give my daughter a bear when we picked up the rings. We got a lecture (it sure felt like one) about how they're actually a Black Friday incentive and she can't give them out, it wouldn't be fair, etc. and we'd have to come back Friday. We explained that we don't live in Roseville, we came to do everything in one trip. Nope, sorry, nothing she can do, the bears have to stay in the back and the 4 year old will get her bear- if you drive back out on Friday. By this time we were done. We felt like a sale- and once the card is swiped, the customer service went with it. I hope that changes, or our next pieces will be purchased elsewhere. read more

My husband bought a beautiful diamond solitaire pendant for me for Christmas from Ben Bridge Jewelers, but unfortunately the chain broke within 3 months of purchase. I brought the chain in to be fixed and met Sharon, the saleswoman who appeared visibly frustrated that the chain was tangled when I handed it to her. She requested that I return in 30 min while she worked on it, to then complete the paperwork to have the chain repaired. She was short and curt with her interactions, so much so that my 17 year old daughter asked if we were 'bothering' her by requesting the chain be fixed. Today, when I picked up the chain, I brought the pendant, and after seeing that the chain was indeed repaired, asked if she could please place the pendant on the chain for me. I told her I didn't have my glasses with me so it was difficult to see. Instead of assisting with placing the chain on the pendant, she pulled a pair of reading glasses out of a drawer and said "Here use these, many of our customers do". I politely said, no thank you, and said I would have my husband assist me at home, to which she replied a simple 'ok'. I also asked if the jeweler was available to place a link in my watch. I had asked when I dropped the chain off the first time, but she said he wasn't available. When I called today, before I drove all the way to the mall to see if he was available, her reply was "Sure, if he has time". Following the pendant debacle, I asked if the jeweler was available to place the link in my watch...she said she could check but that it would cost $25, and I might be better served by going to the "place upstairs". I then took the watch to our neighborhood jeweler, Bianca's Jewelry, where the owner placed the link for me in under 5 min, for no charge... This evening I asked my husband to place the pendant on the chain, and after 5-10 min of trying. he was unsuccessful. It is a solitaire slide pendant, which is difficult to get the chain through the back of the pendant. This means another trip to Ben Bridge. Oh Goody. Let's just hope he doesn't run into Sharon. Incredibly happy with the service. Several months ago, on a Sunday, we took our young daughter to the mall for new earrings. It was her second time getting her ears pierced, the first time they got infected. We were advised to get quality earrings as she possibly had a metal allergy. After wandering thru various stores, we walked in to Ben Bridge. Renee, the manager, greeted us and I told her our story. I went in looking for studs but she showed me small hoop earrings and took the time to explain how they might help the ears properly heal. My daughter was noncommittal so I thanked her and left. A month later, after more issues with my daughter's ears, I went back. Renee wasn't there but another lovely lady greeted me. I explained my first trip and she took me to the hoops. She went the extra mile to find a box to put the earrings in and rung me up. Another month has gone by and my daughter's ears are great! Thank you, Renee! Wonderful advise, wonderful service. But im writing this review because that same lady thought it would be okay to touch my newborn daughter without asking me first. She was a preemie and is only 2 months old, only reason I was holding her is because she was fussy. I didn't even have time to react but it is never okay to touch a baby or child without asking the parent first. Who ever is the store owner or mangers please talk to your employees because ill never be coming here again for my fiances ring due to this reason. Service was friendly and quick, no hard upselling, no gimmicks which is appreciated. Did check out their other stuff, jewelry looks like the standard, 'I got it at a mall jewelry store" type of piece collection. Wow! Terrible customer service! My husband and I came in looking to buy new rings and they kept only showing us "reasonable" priced jewelry when we never told them our budget. One lady was sizing me and a regular customer came in and she left everything and went to help him and never came back to me. We went in there actually wanting to purchase jewelry but they obviously didn't want to sell us any. Hopefully they can get more training on professionalism and just basic customer service. read more

Stopped in to ask for a very specific ring by A. Jaffe. They found what I was looking for and I explained my situation that I was pressed for time. She said she would call to see what they could do. Sweet. She just stood there and looked at me. Yes please call! Oh it's not a call it's an email and she won't find out till tomorrow because they're in New York and they're probably closed. Ok, then why didn't you say that in the beginning? This was just for the setting. I told her I already had a center stone but she kept pushing how they had ones in stock. I asked how long it would take to set the stone she said at least a week. Well if that's the case I need the setting in 2 weeks if your gonna take another week to set the stone. She laughed at me like I was crazy. Yep, straight up let out a little giggle like I'm just an idiot to assume that kind of timeline would work. Wow....the nerve.... I understand some jewelers take longer than others. True my timeline may be unrealistic, or so I was led to believe. Went to Rogers jewelers in Granite Bay, told them my situation. "Sure, we can do that. We have a great reputation with A. Jaffe". I'll have the ring with the center stone set by August 6th. My gf went to a Ben bridge in Houston TX who told her there was no wedding band to match this particular ring. What happened at Rogers? They pulled up the A. Jaffe designed wedding band to match. Already made. Hmmm.... Oh yeah, I'll have that too by the 6th. I'm sure Ben Bridge is a great Jeweler. There are reviews to back it up. They just have some piss poor sales reps that work there that act like they are above the rest. I wish I got the name of the lady who didn't take me seriously and laughed at my request. Older, dark skin, glasses and freckles. She just lost the co. a $3500+ sale. Yeah not much to that kind of store but still. Long review, sorry. read more

Awful! Awful! Awful! After five years in the Automobile sales industry...I thought I had seen the worst possible customer service. I was wrong. The manager of the Roseville Galleria Store is probably the most hideous sales "professional" I have encountered. Not only did she completely discount my knowledge of jewelry, nearly twenty years, she was condescending, and rude. After I left before blowing my top and her ruining the experience and possible sale, I went to one of the other jewelry stores that I had had a pleasant experience at, and thanked them again for their courtesy. Only to find out that Aldona Karvelis of Ben Bridge, had called them to warn them that I had tried to run out of her store with the stone I was looking at!!!! If this is a possible case of slander, any attorneys out there...please let me know. My original salesperson was pleasant and almost had the sale...this other woman left the impression of "Frau Blucher" in my mind. I personally will not shop with the Ben Bridge chain and wouldn't advise anyone else to do so. They took what was a pleasant evening of shopping for a wedding ring and turned it into possible second thoughts. read more

This review is based on coming here to get my jewelry cleaned. They always do an amazing job and offer coffee or water while waiting. I knocked two stars down because depending who works there it's like a hit or miss on customer service. Ive walked in before and wasn't even acknowledged. I'm one of the lucky wives whose husband likes to shop for gifts at Ben Bridge. Like many jewelers, they inspect and clean my pieces for free. However, unlike some other places, they are fast and friendly. The other day, I came in to have my platinum and diamond earrings cleaned and to redeem a card I received in the mail for a free costume jewelry bracelet (which is lovely, BTW!). I was out of there in less than 5 minutes yet never felt rushed. During our short wait, the sales staff chatted with my preschooler and offered her a candy stick (but only after I gave my nonverbal approval). Even if I'm at the mall only for a short time, I know I can rely on BB to get the job done right...and fast! read more

Went in with my man today just to take a look at what's out there - yes, rings. We talked with Sharon Cuva. She was extremely knowledgable and helped me to figure out what I like and within our price range. Apparently I'm down with the black diamonds - I would have not known how great they look if she didn't encourage me to check out everything! She was helpful and fun to talk to. She really just wanted to help us and wasn't pushy or awkward. I also learned a lot about diamonds. Besides some funny anecdotes I will remember something she said, "who cares what everyone wants for engagement rings, just find what you like!!" Great advice and wonderful service. We will be going back to see Sharon at Ben Bridge when the time is right! read more
