Her reasoning? She claimed we were "focused on her" and "trying to stay warm," which somehow made us suspicious. What made it worse was that she had been following us around the store, clearly watching our every move, which was uncomfortable and uncalled for. We weren't stealing, causing problems, or doing anything wrong--just existing in the store. Being threatened with police for absolutely no reason was embarrassing and unnecessary. Customers should not be treated like criminals for simply walking around and browsing. I won't be coming back after being treated this way.

If it were possible to give a deficit in stars, that's what I'd give Blick's. I've had issues with…read morethem not having items in stock even tho the website says they have it and when I complained about not being told something was out of stock before I ordered it, the customer service rep called me a liar. They also have the worst shipping in the industry and they don't work with the customer to resolve issues with lost or missing orders. I'll NEVER shop at Blick's again, especially since so many of my art friends are having the same experiences with them. I spend a great deal of money on art supplies and from now on, all of it will go to Jerry's. I'm also going to contact Golden about Blick's shady tactics concerning their products.

There is a lovely assortment of high quality cottons in many colors and themes. What I especially love is that sometime quilt shops stick with very traditional fabrics. The Red Hen has a terrific assortment of traditional, modern, patriotic, etc. I fell in love with some bold, vibrant paisley fabric and already have plans for it. The prices are exceptional. There is nothing priced over $10.00 per yard.
