Things to do in this park include: Feeding geese (yes you can feed them break, no they wont chase after you) by the lake Running track around the lake Two seperate play grounds for kids to play on, one being gated Swing sets Baseball/softball area behind the park A small stream Covered picnic tables for public use In the park there is a medium sized golf course, a Boys and Girls Club where you can play basketball, and a swimming pool that isnt used anymore. Also features a really old cannon in the parking lot between the swimming pool and gold course. At the second playground there is a swingset for wheelchairs and toddler seats. Normally everyone that comes here is super friendly and corteous like on the running track. Doesnt cost a cent to come here and its always nice to get fresh air and have fun!

It's a fascinating history And one that you have to spend a little bit of time going to the museum and understanding the different angles. I guess that's a purpose of a museum, right? We learned a little bit about Judge Isaac, Parker, as one of the first influences that had to deal with the wild West murderers and people committing heinous crimes that until he arrived, didn't face many consequences as there was no federal government system that was in control of the area and the tribunal process did not cover non-native Americans. Fascinating history. You can even see a replica of the courthouse as well as the gallows as they were over 160 people hang here. Take a rock across the railroad tracks and read a bit about the trail of tears. There are plenty of areas to contemplate the history. Bring a picnic, there are many places to relax and spread out. I have no complaints - the park is great - I'm just a guy from another time passing through who happens to still enjoy the old school. Oh well. Thanks FSM for the great park!

The Master Gardeners and U of A care for the park and it was much cleaner and nicer than I expected. Multiple gazebos, murals, hedges and potted plants, and a fountain and statue in the middle. Alma is the #1 spinach producer so they have the Popeye Gardens to represent that. Definitely worth checking out. Lots of parking available and a nice downtown main street near the high school with sidewalks.
