Black tea brown sugar milk tea
    Kay F.

Have been a few times since our first time and have tried a few of their other offerings and have to say they are consistently very good. We got their black tea brown sugar today based on their recommendations and were impressed. Bumped up to 5 s!

Me and a friend decided to hit up this establishment for a casual drink (one of four newly opened bubble tea / dessert shops) on Grimmer Street in Burnaby. I ordered their signature "Green Tea Cube Milk Tea" while my friend ordered their variant "Black Tea Cube Milk Tea." Both of us agree their tea had a very pleasant and distinctive aroma to it. The brown sugar mini cubes that came with the drinks were a little sweet, but not overpowering. Definitely recommend patrons to request less sugar to balance the sweetness that the mini cubes provide. The place was modern looking with a decorative memorial tree at the first table to greet you once you step inside. Staff were friendly and you place and pick up your order from the counter. There is ample street paid parking in front of the store and is free after 8:00 pm. Credit, debit, and cash accepted.

I have never heard of the Ben Gong's Tea bubble tea chain but they have locations in China and Australia too! Although the store-front didn't look too big, there was a big table to sit at on the inside of the cafe and a few small tables as well. I liked that they had a tree in there to show gratitude and fortune. It reminded me of both Asian and Japanese cultures. I haven't seen something like this at a bubble tea shop before. On this fine day, Grayson decided to get an osmanthus cheese tea. The cream cheese top was smooth and silky. He really liked that there was a nice sprinkling of matcha powder on top to add aesthetic appeal. Unfortunately, he wasn't a fan of the tea itself but he did enjoy the ratio of tea to topping. He also liked that the lid it came with had a flap so he could choose to use a straw for his drink or sip it to get a bit of the topping and the tea.

We were craving bbt and this was nearby so we checked it out! It turned out to be such a pleasant surprise - their drinks were so unique! We weren't sure what to get so we asked for recommendations. They said their tea cube milk teas and fruit&cheese slushes are the best! We ended up getting their black tea cube milk and the peach sparkling tea. The tea cubes were so interesting - they were like jello cubes and weren't bitter or sweet. The milk tea itself was good. For the peach sparkling tea, we added coconut jelly and it wasn't the regular "coconut jelly" we were used to (like the ones from Coco) - it was like jello bits! Surprisingly good. The fruit&cheese slushes sounded strange to me so I avoided them, but I wanna try it next time! Such a unique and special selection of drinks. Defs worth checking out!

Came in with a group of friends during their grand opening special. We got the the black tea fruit tea and the black tea with tea cube milk that came with it for the grand opening special. The black tea fruit tea was actually really disappointing since it seemed really watered down and I couldn't really taste anything. It seems like they cut up slices of fruit and poured cold tea with it with nothing else added. The black tea with tea cube milk tasted alright as well. I think their tea flavor could be stronger, but I like it as a small drink. It's a creamier version of a milk tea. Overall, this isn't a bad place. I would probably come here again, but I wouldn't get the fruit teas.

    Mango pudding milk tea

I'm a mango fan so I often choose any mango drink when getting bubble tea. I definitely would recommend the mango pudding milk tea (50% sugar, 100% ice). Its pricer ($8.25) but i think it's worth it.

Pretty decent bbt! If you're in the area, its a pretty good place to try :) the tea cubes were pretty interesting and overall the drinks were pretty good. Would definitely come back here again!

Got two drinks today, both ice black tea cube (no ice added) with different add on. The drink had no tea flavour with a very strong cream. Very disappointing. Couple days ago I went to pick up two tea drinks, very strong tea flavour and it was good, that night the drinks were worth 4 stars, today was only a 1 star.

Love the tea taste and special tea cube ( they also offer peach cube, coconut cube, etc) not that sweet and more taste of tea.

We tired the mango cheese foam and peach cheese foam -- both were super fresh and the cheese foam was just right :)

Not the best brown sugar bubble tea. The peals were too soft and, the drink on the whole was pretty bland!

This bubble tea place is amazing. I got the milk tea and another fruit tea. The drinks are small but totally worth it.

Last time I came here though I recall it being more decorated. There were lots of whimsical decorations hanging from the ceiling. Seemed to be more simple and basic now. Nothing wrong with that though. It's a clean, spacious shop with ample seating and big windows allowing lots of natural light to come in. I dropped by here to order a Roasted Milk Tea cuz on the 1st and last day of each month, Sun Tea members can order a large sized Milk Tea for just $3.99. They have Regular Milk Tea and Roasted Milk Tea. We've tried both versions and they're both good but we like the Roasted Milk Tea best. I ordered it with less ice and 50% sweetness. Quality of drinks at Sun Tea never seems to disappoint no matter which location we go to. This one was no exception to that rule. Service was a bit slow on this visit. I think they had a lot of online orders to prepare as I didn't see that many people in the shop. Guess it's a popular location. They also have some yummy looking desserts in their shop. Thai Milk Tea Cake Box sounded very tempting. I might try that next time. I skipped it this time as I had come here by foot and had a substantial walk ahead of me when I left the shop so didn't care to be carrying a cake for that long walk.

I love the crocheted items. They are so cute. We ordered a Baiko Matcha and a Pink Lychee. Both drinks were enjoyable but I honestly didn't taste much Lychee in my drink. I tasted mostly Strawberry in it. I think I would probably choose some kind of tea beverage next time. After all, with a name like Teaspoons & Co., I guess they would excel in making tea rather than a fruity drink like Pin Lychee. I love the selection of goods on their shelves. Passionfruit Syrup and Wintermelon Syrup both caught my eye. The Wintermelon Syrup I found to be especially unique. I have definitely never come across Wintermelong Syrup in a store before. I was very tempted to buy one of them but in the end, ended up restraining myself. Might buy one next time though.
