They sell all sorts of garden equipment, shovels, etc, but also random stuff like critter traps and stuff for your dog, and apparently, is Toledos go to spot for beer brewing supplies. Workers are friendly and helpful. Definitely stop in and shop local!

The nursery has a large wholesale base and is huge. Lots of nursery landscapers were working the greenhouses and tree lots. The tree farm is all around. At the counter Josh had the paperwork. A forklift put the tree in the bed of my pick up. Josh secured it with the bungee cords I brought, and gave me paper instructions on watering and staking the tree. The 45-minute drive was worth it. Since Karen Himelhan joined the team in the landscape design department, her negative and confrontational communication style has overshadowed the excellent work the grounds crew consistently provides. I've used Northbranch Nursery for landscaping services at both of my homes, and anytime I've raised questions about billing or addressed concerns regarding the work, the response has felt defensive and combative rather than collaborative. When paying nearly $4,000-6,000 for a service, I believe customers are justified in asking questions or expecting concerns to be addressed professionally. Unfortunately, instead of listening and working toward solutions, Karen often appears focused on finding loopholes or excuses to avoid responsibility. The tension this creates is noticeable -- even staff members seem uneasy when she arrives on-site. That's unfortunate because everyone should be working toward the same goal: a beautifully landscaped property, a positive working relationship, and a professional, knowledgeable team that values customer service and communication. At the end of the day, successful businesses rely on customer loyalty, positive word of mouth, and strong service standards. I hope Northbranch Nursery takes these concerns seriously because the quality of the actual landscaping work deserves better representation. Mark M.

Having previously been a very vocal advocate of this place (even to the point of bringing people to…read moresee it), sadly I have to retract my support. Roughly 9 months ago I purchased a very large, rather expensive pocket door. I saw termite damage on the bottom & commented on it at the time, but I thought it was limited to just that spot. I did not inspect thoroughly enough, however. The project I purchased it for was extensive & I had a delay (the birth of a child will do that), but I stored it on blocks with care. Finally, I got to the part where I would hang the door. In cleaning it, I actually punched two holes through it due to MUCH more extensive termite damage than I had assumed. I found a number of other spots that were almost certainly infested previously. I contacted the company to seek an exchange. The best they would offer was half off a new door (about $350). We reluctantly offered up to $200, but were refused. Note that they still had the same doors now that they did 9 months ago, so this isn't a hot item flying out the door on a common basis. While they carry an array of really interesting stuff, make certain to inspect your purchase with a magnifying glass & be prepared to eat your investment. As for me, that will be my last trip to their shop & I'll also be telling everyone I know: BUYER BEWARE! UPDATE: I decided to try to salvage what I could with the intent of putting windows in the panels. After removing the trim, I'm rethinking that. Just in case anyone thinks this might have occurred in my home, note how extensive the damage is in the 4th & 5th pictures! UPDATE 2: In response to the owner, the termite damage on the bottom WAS noted & discussed. It was why I contemplated one of their other doors. What's more, the person loading the door actually broke off a piece of the trim from the bottom (the upper right in the first picture) & commented on the termite damage directly. Stupidly, i said it seemed to be isolated only to that one area .So... No, that is absolutely a lie on their part. Further, I have pest control come in as a preventative measure (& no, not anywhere near monthly as that wouldn't make any sense). Since we had some damage long before we occupied the house, that seemed like a wise move. No active termite tunnels were found in our home nor in the door. Again, I loved this place before, told everyone who would listen about it, & I'm a huge Toledo business promoter. But now I have to advise otherwise: use them only if you're absolutely willing to eat your investment.
