Kind of ashamed to admit I have lived in South Toledo for about 20 years and just recently stopped in here. It's such a great place! We get our bird seed here it's cheaper than Wild Birds Unlimited. On our most recent stop, they even had plants for sale in a little courtyard that had never been open before. They sell all sorts of garden equipment, shovels, etc, but also random stuff like critter traps and stuff for your dog, and apparently, is Toledos go to spot for beer brewing supplies. One word pretty much sums it up for Titgemeier's Feed & Garden, WOW! Very unassuming store for feed & garden, but quite a selection of products for craft brewing (beer & wine). I know right? Who would ever think there would be a great craft brewing section in a feed & garden store? I recently received a craftbrew kit as a gift and someone suggested going to Titgemeier's for any products needed. I am no expert when it comes to craft brewing, supplies, and products, by they seem to have all bases covered. Brew kits galore and many different styles and flavors of ingredients to brew your own at home. They even have some bulk items if needed. Thanks to the gift of a craft brew making kit and a trip to Titgemeier's, I am excited to see the end result of my first attempt at making a batch of craft beer. What a great store! Located in a cool building in the Old South End (on Western, between Broadway and The Trail) Titgemeier's is definitely worth your time. They sell pet supplies, and (home) garden equipment/supplies, and bird seed, but most importantly, they sell beer making supplies! I'm new to this "home brew" thing, so I'm not sure if I'm truly qualified to say "Titgemeier's has everything that a home brewer could need." But, I am a scientific guy, and I've done my homework regarding the topic of beer making...and it certainly seems like TITGEMEIER'S HAS EVERYTHING THAT A HOME BREWER COULD NEED!! You want to buy an "all in one" kit to make your first gallon of beer? Pick it up here. Sure, you might find it cheaper on Amazon, but half the fun is talking to other guys, and a few gals, who have the expertise to help you get it right the first time. You want to brew 50 gallons of your secret family recipe, using local products? Pick your supplies up right here. Right now, I'm working on my third batch. I was very surprised that first two batches came out great, even if I do say so myself. People who do know beer liked them, and even people who don't really like beer, like my wife, liked them...witness: Me: "Well, how's it taste?" Wife: "It tastes like beer." This is a treasure for Old South End. My dad remembers them when he was a kid. So happy to find they have brewing supplies. All the right stuff in 50 pound bags or by the pound of the specialty grains. Yeast selection is very good as well. The cherry on top is the service. Titgemeier's is a great store. Thou a little more costly than big box, they have the expertise and service that make it worth your time. They are honest, sincere and knowledgeable. They will not sell you what you do not need. I buy my plants, seed, any lawn chemicals, beer supplies, and some pet supplies there. Prices are very inline with what they should be. Try some of the Cajun peanuts when you pick up a beer kit! read more

The only place I could find 8 ft wooden garden stakes with a pointed end that was thick enough to hold 25 gal garden container plants from being blown down by wind. I'm counting on the store for more in spring of 2020 for garden. This store doesn't mess around & carries things other stores don't & of high quality. I plan on going to the store soon for garden supplies, veg seeds & other things. I have known this tore since the 1950's as a little boy & last summer of 2019 I saw bails of straw out front & needed one. When I went inside I said WOW!
