In the center of the room is an island composed of adjustable desks and a medical supplies cart that all the therapist a stand around communicating with each other and documenting, waiting for their patients to complete their specific exercise. I enjoyed the enduring conversation of teaching and encouragement of the students that are working their way to earn their doctorate degree. I like that they give you a choice to keep a single therapist, although all the therapists act as a team and help out if your therapist gets stuck on another patient. I feel confident with the therapists. Alex is my favorite. They are vet friendly and work with the VA.

As I was waiting to be seen I saw all the personal relationships with office staff and therapy techs had with their patients. They treated them all like family members and paid extra attention to the children. I go for acupuncture and he is very deliberate to my needs on that day. I always leave feeling better and it maintains me for a pain free lifestyle. I have had a career that is physically damaging to my body and it is a relief that I can go somewhere that they care and make sure I can function in a normal way.

From the moment I walked through the door, Dr. Leavitt and his team made me feel welcomed. They are caring, friendly, upbeat, and full of positive energy. Honestly, it felt like I had found a whole team of cheerleaders for my health. I can't even begin to explain how much the care I received for my sciatica has helped. I was in so much pain and truly didn't know what to do or where to go. A few family members and friends suggested looking into chiropractors who specialize in sciatica treatment, so I started researching on Google. I found several options, including West Knoxville Medical & Chiropractic, but the countless positive reviews from other sciatica patients convinced me that Dr. Leavitt and his team were the right choice. They got me in right away, and everything since then has been nothing but positive. After completing three months of care -- which included adjustments, physical therapy, and 20 minutes on the decompression table -- I transitioned into maintenance care. Now I go twice a month for adjustments and once a month for the decompression table, and I genuinely look forward to my visits. I'm so thankful I stumbled across them on Google. Calling for an appointment is disastrous. The AI system will not allow the patient to choose the desired location. It insisted on sending me to an office further away. I am an existing patient to the Maryville office yet was not allowed to schedule there. Asked to speak to a human and was placed on hold. Gave up after 20 mins. The on line site to schedule an appointment is just as bad. Again had to fight the system to get an appointment in the office of my choice. An appointment was finally made. So I have to write an update because of our last visit. Not too happy with the "updated" staff…read moresince our last visit. Maybe it was because it was a Monday, maybe someone had a headache, heck I'll even go as far as to say that maybe the person was sitting on a tack. The attitude was uncalled for and frankly has made me look elsewhere for the care of my son. I had called to see if there was anything else I could give my son other than what I was giving him, standard OTC meds for a sinus cough etc. The receptionist that answered the phone really didn't want to talk to me. She quickly pushed me off and said that a nurse would call me back, which was expected. However, this was at 9 in the morning and by 3 that evening I still hadn't heard back from a nurse. So, we packed up and drove in to either see if I could speak to a nurse personally or see a doctor real quick. I was quickly informed by the same rude receptionist that, "Honey, we are double booked. You see all these names on here? We still have to see them. We ain't got time for him now." Note, there were only two names on the sign in sheet and it wasn't my problem that they double booked. Granted I didn't have an appointment but I didn't expect to be talked to in that fashion either. She went on to then tell me that I should have called and made an appointment, almost as if I should have known that my son would have been as sick as he was. This was on a Monday. I'm writing this review on the following Sunday and I STILL haven't heard back from the nurse yet. Did they know who I was when I called? Yep! Did they know who I was when I walked in? Nope! Absolutely NO excuse for not returning a phone even if it's to simply say, you'll need to come in.

Dr. Baxter is one of the most caring understanding doctors we have ever met. One of my children has had a lot of health issues and they were wonderful helping me figure everything out and were always there when we needed them. I would never take my children anywhere else! When you are reading these reviews keep in mind that people don't often write reviews when things are good or even great because it takes extra "effort". Effort that people are ALWAYS willing to put in when they are angry.
