From the moment I walked through the door, Dr. Leavitt and his team made me feel welcomed. They are caring, friendly, upbeat, and full of positive energy. Honestly, it felt like I had found a whole team of cheerleaders for my health. I can't even begin to explain how much the care I received for my sciatica has helped. I was in so much pain and truly didn't know what to do or where to go. A few family members and friends suggested looking into chiropractors who specialize in sciatica treatment, so I started researching on Google. I found several options, including West Knoxville Medical & Chiropractic, but the countless positive reviews from other sciatica patients convinced me that Dr. Leavitt and his team were the right choice. They got me in right away, and everything since then has been nothing but positive. After completing three months of care -- which included adjustments, physical therapy, and 20 minutes on the decompression table -- I transitioned into maintenance care. Now I go twice a month for adjustments and once a month for the decompression table, and I genuinely look forward to my visits. I'm so thankful I stumbled across them on Google. From my very first appointment, I had that immediate "this is the place" feeling, and they have absolutely lived up to it. Overall the facility is large, great parking and dropoff, and nearby the main UT hospital. The staff end-to-end was very helpful with no concerns here. The quality of care and attention to detail on reviewing her situation and needs was good. The only issue I observed was the amount of distance they were having folks walk at times (that have some type of mobility issue). Perhaps staff to help move the more challenged folks (in the absence of their own approved/owned mobility gear) would be a nice touch. We'll be back a few times more, but hopefully not to come back ongoing!

I'm a traveling Vet patient and had some paperwork issues that the office staff was proactive in finding a solution. As I was waiting to be seen I saw all the personal relationships with office staff and therapy techs had with their patients. They treated them all like family members and paid extra attention to the children. I go for acupuncture and he is very deliberate to my needs on that day. I always leave feeling better and it maintains me for a pain free lifestyle. I have had a career that is physically damaging to my body and it is a relief that I can go somewhere that they care and make sure I can function in a normal way.

To my amazement I got an appt for that same day and had the pleasure of having Dr Casey's assistant, Cassandra Laskowski exam my knee. As a chiropractic office, this one was a complete waste of my time. I had a total of three visits…read more(so spent a little over $180) and had absolutely no relief. For my first visit (Monday) I explained that my neck was out with pain on the right hand side and my upper back was out with pain on the left-hand side. He adjusted my neck fine and then adjusted my back saying that it was on the right hand side. I questioned saying that it did not feel like it was on the right hand side that it definitely felt like it was on the left-hand side. He did not re-examine me he just said no it was fine. I left, but realized very quickly that it was not fine. It had not adjusted appropriately. There was no relief in my upper back and it still pulled as I moved like there had been no adjustment. For my second visit (Thursday) I very firmly stated that my left upper back was causing a lot of pain and had steadily declined since my visit on Monday and it had not been corrected at all during my visit on Monday. He did a lying-on-my-back adjustment which moved very well. It did feel like it was in alignment when I left. No additional therapies or muscle release was done on my back. After I left, I was getting out of the car and I felt it slip back out of place. It had been in place for 15 minutes and that was it. I feel like muscle release should have been done to stop the muscles from pulling it immediately back out of alignment. For my third visit (Monday) I explained that it had adjusted well previously, however it had gone back out within 15 minutes of me leaving. I asked if there were muscle release techniques that he could do to prevent that from happening this time. He said that I could do ultrasound therapy. He did the same lying-on-my-back adjustment as he had done previously, but this time it did not adjust as well as it had previously. This is not surprising because I was going on over a week of the muscles being completely tense and locked up and no muscle release was done prior to the adjustment. After the adjustment, I moved around a little while he was still in the room and I could feel that it was not an alignment. I advised him of this and he said no it was fine. I reiterated that it was not in alignment and did not feel like it was fine. He once again said that it was fine and sent me to go and get ultrasound therapy. He did not re-examine me, he didn't actually examine me at all that time. He literally did the lying-on-my-back adjustment, and then adjusted my neck. I had the ultrasound therapy, which I don't think did anything. During my ultrasound therapy I expressed frustration that my back had not been put back into alignment, and that it still felt like it was out. The person doing the therapy did not follow up on this, make any comments, assist me in anyway. I was then checking out and paying and the front desk girl asked how it felt. I explained that it had not gone in, that it was still out, that the issue was not resolved. I must have sounded very frustrated at that point because the Chiropractor overheard and said, "Well I can take you back and examine you again if you would like." At that point, I had to go pick my kids up from school and honestly, I shouldn't have to get to that level of frustration for the Chiropractor to examine me. The location was convenient, the front desk person was friendly, the dog is very sweet. But don't waste your time.

I'm writing this with a big smile on my face! After 6 months with a mystery painful illness, 5…read more different doctors and several tests with no clear diagnosis, I was in pain and unable to move my body,  I was referred to Dr. Hoar who listened to my needs and kept an open mind to find possible ways to heal my body.   I wasn't able to move,  drive, or even sleep on my back,  and I needed assistance from family members to move for months.   Since the first adjustment Dr. Hoar helped me recover and explained the whole process to me.  After just a few weeks of treatment I'm now able to walk more,  sleep on my back and on my side, and I'm starting to recover my body strength.  The treatment is not finished yet, but I feel confident that I will be much better soon.   This office has become a place where I can find friendly and professional staff assisting me with my recovery, they have the necessary tools from x ray machines, massage therapists and  therapists assistants to tailor the treatment to your needs.
