Again, she was kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and very, very professional. I had been having some problems with my left knee. An x-ray was taken, a diagnosis was given, as well as treatment prescribed on the same visit. She also gave me instructions on what to, and what not to do for the next 30 days, as well as a prescription for PT. I was more than pleased with Dr. Bilbrew's quality of care and will certainly be a returning patient.

I saw Dr. Bircoll both times. There's a test they do to make the diagnosis that is very, very painful, but once he did it the first appointment, he told me what the problem was, recommended a specific type of brace and advised me to return in a month for an injection. A month later, it wasn't any better and I had reinjured it a week before, so I went back to try the injection. In that appointment, he poked and prodded, observed my pain and then told me to relax my arm and that he "wasn't going to hurt me" before forcefully and swiftly bending my wrist again. It was excruciatingly painful and completely unnecessary (plus the lie) given he had already diagnosed the issue the previous appointment and had just observed that it was still quite painful. No "bedside manner" at all. It just felt sadistic. I tried twice with two different people to contact management to address it, but was completely ghosted. I don't know if this is the standard of care with Resurgens, but I will be looking elsewhere if I need additional services.

The clerical staff is an absolute incompetent JOKE. They are quick to take your payment in full but when claims process and the OWE you over $300 they don't know how to act. I was supposed to have a procedure (epidural) done. They gave me the estimate, I told them by the time the procedure was done my deductible would be met and I would pay closer to the date. I got a notification about a balance due of $289 for an office visit that I paid over $400 for at the time of the visit. I emailed late in the afternoon 2 business days before my procedure to get an update on copay and clarification on this bill that popped up out of nowhere. I waited all day the next day for a call or response. NO ONE responded. I called the morning of my procedure because there is NO WAY I am going in blind. They screwed my account up so bad no one knew what the hell was going on. I cancelled the procedure and told them just refund the money they owe me from my processed claims and I would not be returning to their practice for treatment. If I can't trust them to do simple addition and subtraction how would I trust them to stick a 3" needle in my neck?! STAY FAR AWAY!

Soon after, severe and static cramping also appeared in my left glute and then later in my left quad. As the pain in my right hip worsened, I began to also suffer horrific pain in my right knee. After my second trip to the ER, both within the same day, I was admitted to the hospital. By that time, the pain levels in my right hip and knee were beyond description and I had lost the ability to walk. I lay doubled over in the ER and later, upon admission, with little to no relief from numerous injections and medications. I remained in this condition for two days, due to miscommunication and failure to attend to me by hospital administration and some of their associated physicians. Due to these fiascoes, psychological distress and fears set in and now matched my physical distress and fears. The next morning (around 6:00 am) Dr. Koch appeared in my room and shared his take on my examinations, records, and conditions. He was able to determine that all my associated pain was due to nerves in my lower back being crushed between some discs. He offered and recommended a plan of surgical action and, through his expertise and "bedside" manner, was able to resolve my psychological distress. Not long after, he returned and took the time to meet with my wife and share his views and recommendations. The operation was a success and I am now at home and receiving follow-up care. Dr. Koch has followed up with personal calls to us and our office visits are very special. I say this because Dr. Koch spends a great deal of time with us and he/we have gotten to know each other beyond your typical in/out check-ups. I/we are ever grateful for Dr. Koch's knowledge, skill, calming and friendly nature, and for the quality and length of time he spends with us. These traits combined with his general concern for me/us far exceeds any of our hopes and wishes. He has maintained constant and consistent contact as I slowly recuperate and regain full mobility.

I mean the holes were way off alignment. Not even close. Nine months later the new ligament was barely even visible on the mri because it was so stretched out. When I woke up from the surgery I was in major pain for about 3 weeks. Taking pain pill every 6 hours for weeks. So after all wastes time and misery I found a more reputable dr at resurgen orthopedics. Had another surgery where the surgeon did bone on bone graft and re drilled the holes in my bones in the correct locations this time. And when I woke up from surgery this time I was barely in any pain at all. I quit taking pain pills about 3 days after the surgery because I didn't need them anymore. I couldn't believe it really. Some dr's know how to do it and some don't. Dr golan definitely does not. He basically wasted a year of my life that I will never get back.
