The staff there took the time to get to know me and observe some of the challenges I face, especially with balance.

Nice, knowledgeable people. Getting results, improving my mobility. Going twice a week for the past 3 weeks. See improvement already. I like that you have different therapists to get to know all of them. All of the therapists are trained well, and know what they are doing. They also work well together. The place is clean, not crowded. The only downfall is that it's not always one on one. You are doing exercise on your own while therapist works with another patient. But for a full hour, it seems to work just fine for me. I'd like to give it 4.5 stars. read more

Second time with this location. Melissa, Ryan, Megan and all other staff are great. Melissa previously helped me when I had ankle surgery. This time, it's for knee surgery. Still great treatments from Melissa and Ryan. After two visits, my mobility has improved dramatically. Yes, I put in extra work at home, but still under their guidance. read more

The Benchmark PT located in Tega Cay is the best. Elizabeth, the front desk person is friendly and helpful and my pelvic PT, Erika, is the best. She really helps guide me through exercises and provides me with exercises I can do at home with printouts and instructions. One of the things I value most about this location is their client centeredness. I would recommend this location to my friends and family. read more

I loved and always looked forward to my appointments at Benchmark in Fort Mill. Ryan has an incredible wealth of knowledge when it comes to what a patient needs to help them heal and feel better. If I wasn't doing something quite right, he was always there to show me the correct way to do it. I very highly recommend him. Doing my PT, I also had the opportunity to observe Melissa with her patients. She is just as knowledgeable and helpful. The entire staff is wonderful. At the front desk, I was always greeted by name and they are very thorough and pleasant. My doctor sent me here because they advertise that they do dry needling. Even with telling them how helpful it has been for me and asking for it they did it only 1 time. Then they had a student therapist who was useless. I kept getting put with him and I as done. It took them over half a year after my final appointment to bill my insurance and their estimate of what I should owe each session was so far off that I got a huge bill. I highly recommend going to their competitor Elite physical therapy near planet fitness. I made faster progress, they are far more willing to do dry needling, their estimated cost has been accurate, and they are filling claims in a timely manner. read more

STEALING MONEY FROM MY DISABLED MOTHER? You've got to be kidding me. Covid-19 is NOT an excuse for businesses to run this way. A refund was requested when a PT explained that treatment was no longer an option. A check for the 5 remaining appointments was supposed to come within 6-8 weeks - which is a very long time for any business but patience and grace were given because of the quarantine. However, in ADDITION to 10 weeks passing and no refund, my mom's insurance company informed her that Benchmark had overcharged her SIGNIFICANTLY, and the refund should be much more. Benchmark promised the full refund but have yet to issue a check, and refuse to do the refund digitally or on a prepaid card. Only a paper check. Calling today, she was informed that a "rush" was processed for her refund and she "should" get a check sometime in the next 4-6 weeks. Are you kidding me?! There should have been a check processed within 2-3 DAYS. How many more times are they going to have an excuse for not getting that check in the mail? Are they going to push it off until she gives up? That is called STEALING. And stealing from a disable person is just low. They will go out of busked if they keep handing things this way. Businesses aren't the ONLY ones that need courtesy these days. Customers do too. Until Benchmark gets their act together and does the integrous thing and gets my mom her refund they get a 1 star review from me - and if I could give NO stars, I would. This was my first experience with physical therapy, and the therapy itself was fine, although it did feel weird to be the one indicating I don't think I need this any more. What I was VERY disappointed with was the expense after having received what I thought was an estimate of my costs. Come to find out what they billed me at the time of each appointment was only about 25% of what I ended up owing. I felt completely blindsided by the expense. read more

I have used BenchMark in Fort Mill on two occasions.. The first time around I had a wonderful therapist and made good progress. I found on my second experience a few years later, my original therapist had left and I was assigned a therapist right out of school who had not yet learned the importance of listening to the patient. I had a special need concerning my ailing left knee, and what I received was a canned protocol that did not concentrate on the painful knee. I found myself, for example, continually picking up a cloth with my right foot toes along with other drills not related to my left knee. Even after I explained my concern, I was still picking up a cloth with my right toes, etc. In order to get on track, I asked him to review the treatment from my successful first round of therapy and he refused to do so. In the end, I lost interest in the treatment and we parted ways. In fairness to BenchMark, the manager was on maternity leave so she was not aware of the problem. In the future I would return to BenchMark, but I would pay more attention to the experience level of my therapist. read more
