Last Saturday, while visiting the farmer's market in Pocatello, I stopped at the Prairie Sage Soap…read morebooth. I decided to buy the Eucalyptus Mint Goat Milk Soap ($5.25), mostly out of curiosity -- find out what all the "fuss" was about goat milk soap. I'm so glad I did because this soap is SUPER creamy and smells so good -- invigorating! I left a note for the owner about purchasing some Lavender Rosemary Mint Goat Milk Soap as well as the Lavender Mint Loofah Foot Scrub, both of which were not available at the booth. The owner, Trisha, called me, as promised, and was wonderful about answering all my questions. Note: Another reason I wanted to try Trisha's soap was her online statement about her use of lye. I've always been a fan of artisanal soaps, because I've always wanted to make my own. Yeah, I watch a little bit too much Fight Club, so go figure. I bought one to bring back home and it was excellent! It was the oats/cream/honey based one. The secret ingredient is olive oil, then again, if you're in the soap-know then you'll probably say that olive oil is already a common ingredient. Anyways, I logged on to their website and some of their offerings are different than what the Museum of Clean offered, which is cool. I placed an online order and am looking forward to my care package sometime this coming week. Sampling this soap has rekindled my urge to create my own soaps now. Hmmmm, let's see what we can do about that. :)
